What pet peeves do you have about peoples' guilds? Are there particular things that bother you when looking at guilds to join, or even just looking at for the sake of browsing?
Personally, I've been looking for a relaxed roleplay guild, and I don't mind 'Roleplay about everything' guilds as long as they're organized.
What REALLY peeves me though is guild after guild after guild based on an academy setting, especially academy guilds with no particular focus and just accept 'all magical creatures'. One of my favorite guilds that I was in, although I never posted in it, was a really nice Hogwarts based guild. It was beautifully organized and run. Upon sending your join request, based on the short quiz you had to take (In order to confirm that you were a knowledgeable HP fan) you were also sorted into a house. They had professors, prefects, house point awards, the whole nine yards. That's what I like in a good school-based guild, not half-assed anime schoolgirl academies and whatnot.
I don't mind everything guilds as long as they're slightly different from the standard 'LOL WE'RE SO GLUBBING RANDOM LOL'. I mean, I have one of my own that I'm working on (and changing the name of it for the umpteenth time) and I do try to make it a little bit different and not so stereotypically random. It's kind of dead since I haven't been actively working on it in favor of other projects.
