Alright, it's August now, and that means Halloween is just around the corner. It's time to start planning our Halloween event. In the past, events were planned almost entirely by one person but to give her a slight break and to include everyone else in the planning process, we've decided to let members start helping us choose what kind of events to do. This will ensure events are more popular and more people get involved. And it will make them a little less random.
We had a thread allowing people to suggest possible events and we got some fun suggestions. Now it's time to vote on your favorite idea. Voting will last three weeks, which is more than enough time for everyone to pick a favorite.
In the following post, you'll find all the ideas listed, along with their descriptions. Feel free to use this thread to brainstorm ideas for your favorite event. Every idea and suggestion helps the crew plan fun things.
Also, should we continue to bother with contests? We always try to set some up but it feels like very, very few people participate in them. Is everyone too busy for contests, or do you just not like the ones we usually set up? If you have any contest ideas, please feel free to suggest!

Event Title: Zombie Attack!
Theme: That's right--zombie apocalypse hits Rosentale and students have to try to survive. Or maybe just make friends! (It's not like there aren't already lots of undead at Rosentale)
Possible Plot Details: Possibly having a Team Zombie and a Team Human. We can let characters be zombies if the player wants, and non-zombie characters can get pulled over to the Zombie team if they're infected.
---------------------
Event Title: Asylum Escape
Theme: What happens when the students and staff all wake up as patients in the creepy mental institution with crazy doctors, criminally insane patients, and even a few experimental monsters running around? Obviously they all have to escape before the madness starts to spread.
Possible Plot Details: Um...yeah. Takes place at Serenity hills. Monsters...and haunting things and...stuff! D=< Think...Amnesia but less horrifying.
-----------------
Event Title: And Then There Were None
Theme: Staged "Murder Mystery" in Rosentale for everyone to put their heads together and solve. Or just blame everyone else. Either way.
Possible Plot Details: The school is put into a lockdown after a sudden blackout occurs, along with the sound of a church bell ringing. Luckily, the lighting is fixed soon after and the issue is dealt with. That is, until a teacher/student is discovered to have gone missing. Every ten minutes, the lights go out and the bell tolls, another student/teacher gone when the lights come back on, leaving the remaining characters to figure out who among them is the murderer before it's too late.
D=< Done a million times, but is still a fun premise.
------------------
Event Title: Invasion!
Theme: Oh no! Giant Cockroaches are swarming the perimeter of Rosentale Academy!
Possible Plot Details:Smart and apparently militarized they are attempting to revenge their lost Friends! Everyone down to the Grounds to fend off the oncoming attack!
-------------------------
Event Title: Halloween Fund Raiser!
Theme: The students and staff are in charge of turning the entire school into a haunted house! Tickets will be on sale and it'll be a big attraction and hopefully the school can replenish its funds through this. But while setting up the big attraction, creepy things start happening that aren't part of the haunted house plans.
Possible Plot Details: We could have haunted house set up on weekdays and the finale will be on the weekend where they open up the haunted house to the public. Possible we might be dealing with NPCs or the return of some family members from a previous event.

I think we should keep contests, because people do participate in them, but it should be one contest per event. That way, instead of having one or two people participating in the contest of their choice, everyone who wants to win the prize will join in and it won't fall on its face like some of our other contests when it feels like a choice between the few they could enter.

I definitely agree that we should tone down the number of contests. @___@ We just don't get enough participation in them to warrant more than one.
