Before hadn't seen what became of his Bro during the attack on the HQ. Frankly, he didn't try to remember too hard. He'd shut himself down then. Any attempt at recollection ended with him curled up into a tight, hiccuping ball of worry and distress and helplessness. He's been sending messages day in and day out but the signal seems to be weak or non-existent. Still, he's trying and will continue to try to get into contact with his friends. Bix had been in the middle of shower when the siege happened. The smell of cleaning minipet crap would just not go away. By the time the attacks had ended, when silence reigned, he realized he'd left his phone. It was a day before he'd been able to get back to his friend. Huni Pi I'm alright. Before had just gotten himself some time alone, he didn't want to be in anyone's company at the moment. Not even- the buzzing of his phone thankfully distracted him enough from his thoughts, much to even Vanna's relief. His mood made a complete 180 upon seeing the name and he practically hugged the device to his chest, as if this physical gesture would somehow be transmitted to Bix.

Bix's texts explained the situation loud and clear to Before: DO NOT BOTHER UNLESS URGENT. Which was hard considering who he apparently had to deal with on this off-island mission. But he sucked it up and did his best to stop checking his phone every few minutes.
Eventually he had to get Vanna to consistently remind him to not check his phone unless it actually vibrated. Which it didn't. Not for several days. There was a multitude of emotions that threatened to drown Before as he read the messages. WHY WASN'T HE THERE TO SUPPORT HIS BRO?!?! was at the forefront. Followed by BY PEOPLE, DID BIX MEAN STORY AND AFTER!? If Rep was included on that list Before would just snort and mutter that the Sunny started out screwed up and maybe this would have fixed him. Huni Pi They are fine. Weren't captured. Sasha, Otto, Wash, Ami, Rin were the captives. Everyone is safe now tho Honestly he hadn't seen Tori lately. Bix was sure she was fine but he wouldn't tell Before he hadn't seen her. He'd just flip out or something. Better stick with safe news.

Bix is a very wise man. A very wise man indeed. Before let out a breath of relief and was less inclined to make an attempt to flood Tori's inbox now. Instead he gave Bix one more text wishing him luck and a promise that once Before got back, he'll bake Bix whatever he wanted. Within reason and within his powers because there were some recipes that were beyond him now.
The Misty suddenly looked somber at this thought and ended up staring blankly at his phone for some time. It was only when Glen nudged him did he realize he hadn't pressed send.

Was it petty of Rick? Was it uncalled for, this whatever it was he was about to do? Probably, it was. Did Rick care? The answer would be a resounding <******** no. Somehow he'd managed to get a hold of Before's phone and copy the contacts into his own without alerting the Mist trainee of what he'd done. No small feat considering the idiot was checking it practically every other second (an equally uncalled for exaggeration but again, Rick didn't care).

Bix was in the process of moving into his new room when the text buzzed through to him. He didn't recognize the number. He then thought maybe that was a bit douchey so he replied again. Quote: Why are you texting me if it's such an important mission? Division, rank and name plz.

Rick felt his phone vibrate and immediately thought it was a mission related message. Was he finally being promoted? But no, apparently the message was from that Bix-guy (who the ******** names their kid Bix anyway?) and it was a cheeky response.
