Name: Que’Raz
Race: Earthling – Leaf Tribe
Gender: Male
Base Traits: Open, Steadfast, Cool-Headed
Class: Heavy Defense – aspires to be a Fortress
Personality: Raz is, if anything, honest about how he’s feeling. Not that he could help it if he wanted to. He tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve…or arm band in this case. However, he’s probably one of the happiest people in the entire tribe, making sure to smile as much as he can and laugh about the little things. He’s liked by most everyone because he tells things how they are and makes sure people know he’s never saying it out of spite. If you ever want to keep something a secret, don’t tell Raz. He’s never seen the point, believing that it’s more efficient to just get everything out in the open so everyone can move on with their lives and stop living in the past.
This was actually a conclusion he came to when he was younger, which leads us to his next main trait: steadfast. He will almost always stick to his convictions until they reach their end or until shows him a better way to live. This can be applied to almost everything in his life, from protecting his best friend to making new friends or learning a new skill or just being honest with the people around him. They don’t always lead to the best conclusion, as sometimes they lead him into dangerous or life threatening circumstances, but he has always put others before himself. If he had to die for his friends, he would without a moment’s hesitation.
This doesn’t mean that’s his first response though. He prefers to try to problem solve first and between him and his best friend Irri, he has always been the calm one. He rarely gets flustered, and it takes a great deal to make him angry. From social situations to life and death battles, he’s a problem solver and does his best to find a solution that makes everyone happy. This does fail on occasion however, when he’s put under an inordinate amount of stress or when Irri is in danger.
Description: Raz is large for an earthling, standing at 4 foot 8 inches. His size isn’t helped by the large muscles that he’s worked hard to obtain through vigorous exercise and training for the past four years of his life in between his adventures with Irri and his responsibilities in the tribe. Despite his size, he has a friendly face and is usually smiling. His features are framed by a length of dark hair, with parted bangs that reach his chin on either side of his face and a long ponytail going down his back that he no longer bothers to cut. His crystals start out large on his shoulders and get smaller as they trail up his neck to his eyes. There are also several large crystals going from his shoulders to his shoulder blades and down his spine.
Clothing: Raz wears light green shorts that end right above his knees, covered partially by a triangle deep green sash that drapes over his right hip and leg. Both of these are held up by a dark brown belt held low on his hips.
Accessories: Raz has a yellow armband on his right arm, which matches an earring made out of a piece of leather and a baby Kinfa feather on his left ear. Along his right ear is a set of piercings going up the cartilage to the end point of his ear, though there aren’t any piercings in the right ear as there is in his left.
History: Raz began a life with a weak mother and father who wasn’t home as often as he should’ve been in order to take care of his mate. Thus, he took care of his mother instead. He did as much as he could for her, often taking on too much and failing at the task he’d set out to do, leaving more of a mess for his mother to clean up. While the tribe did their best to help her as well, she was always too proud to accept too much help, and the stress of being alone so often worsened her condition. She died of depression, a weak constitution and a sickness that wouldn’t leave her body no matter what the healers did for her. This left Raz motherless at the age of 7. He ended up living with his mother’s sister and her mate while her father was out hunting or protecting the village from various threats.
At the age of 8, less than a year after his mother’s death he began to take on ownership of other people’s problems. In his childish mind he blamed himself for his mother’s death and from that point on tried to take on everyone else’s problems so that maybe he could atone for his failure. He took on a lot of responsibilities of the tribes people, helping to repair damaged homes, sharpening weapons – when he was allowed to -, however he often found that people wouldn’t let him do certain things, so to bide his time he took to other forms of helping people. One in particular was protecting a girl in the tribe named Irri, who was about the same age as him. She was the “runt of the litter”, if you will, and often got left out of the group and bullied by the other children. He stood up for her and ultimately ended up escorting her wherever she went. They never left each other’s side after that moment.
Around the time of his tenth birthday, his father was injured in a battle with an unnaturally smart Witu that had been causing their tribe a multitude of problems. He was too far away from home though and ultimately died from the wound. Raz found this as more of a reason to protect those he loved and while it was difficult to accept the loss of his entire family, he turned to Irri as his adopted family and threw himself into protecting her even more. His desire to protect those important to him eventually mixed with his need to help all those around him, evolving into a deep need to protect everyone in the tribe and only wanting them to be happy. The only thing that came before the tribe itself was Irri.
He came to this conclusion when he was around 15 and has worked hard ever since, training his body as much time would permit. After 4 years of consistent and devoted exercise and body building he’s become a veritable wall of muscle and can finally say that he’s fully capable of protecting everyone. When he turned 16 he decided to stop being a burden on his aunt and her family, who had taken him in after his father’s death, and moved into his own small space in the village, doing all he could to provide for himself.

Hey there. C: Sorry for taking so long to get in here to Crit! <3
I appreciate the fact that Que’Raz is so forthright and steadfast. He seems to be a commendably selfless person because of it. Are there any times that he allows himself to be selfish, or any things that he lets himself be selfish about?
He has had a pretty rough life… losing both of his parents, especially blaming himself, in part, for the loss of his mother. How does he maintain that smile? Is his happiness a mask, or is he truly happy?
Kana will need to take a look at his physical build and accessories, before he gets any official art. Not that there’s a problem with them; I like that he’s a giant teddy bear. :3

As far as the description goes, I'm a little confused with his earrings. Are you saying that his left only has the feather earring, and the right has a row of studs?
And as far as his size goes, these are the things that I like to see. Different body structures already thought about. As far as the prentice stage, I can muscle him out a little, but for the other stages I can make larger muscles and more bulk if that's what you're looking for. (If you're interested in getting a custom slot of course.)

*does a little dance* Okay, first: There are certain points in which he does allow selfishness and that's when it comes to Irri. She is truly his only family and loved one. (Me and Rose are hoping to have a romance build up eventually). He is selfish when it comes to her in the way that he would sacrifice everything, including the tribe, if it meant keeping her safe. If he was truely selfless - in his opinion anyway - he would look after the needs of everyone before his need to take care of Irri.
As far as his selflessness goes, it's not entirely without reward. He gets out of punishing himself for failing his previous family by taking care of as many people as possible. However, when he is able to help people he is truly happy, and not just pretending. When he fails at helping or protecting someone he definitely goes into pity party mode, and depending on the failure he might punish himself by getting himself into impossible situations - either physical or social - as a way to pay for his failure. Sorry, did you want me to put this into his profile? -is new to this kind of site-
As for kaname: yes, I'm sorry. That bit was definitely confusing. You're exactly right about the earrings. There's a row of studs on the right and the feather earring on the left. And yes, the bigger the better, basically. XD He's a bit of a muscle freak as it were.

You are certainly welcome to add these elaborations to the profile; it adds a depth and understanding to his character that is very helpful.
Thank you for the thoughtful character. We’re looking forward to having him as an addition to Tendaji. I’m sure Irri is looking forward to having her man. wink
