Once again, Silva found herself out and about. Increasingly, she continued to sneak out and away from her father and brother. Sure she was an adult and free to do whatever she pleased, but she knew that her father worried over her. And although she loved her brother dearly, she did like to have some time to herself. Besides, neither of them had wings and neither seemed to understand her need to fly. The only other member of her family that did fly was her cousin Indilwen, yet she was hardly ever around. Off with her mate Eyota or whatever his name was.
Silva flew on for a decent amount of time until she could feel her wings growing weary. She might have grown into them, but she was certainly still developing her muscles. Finding a nice spot to land, the mare eased down onto the ground as gently as she could. Her landings were still a little rocky, but they were certainly getting better than they had been before. Spotting a small stream just a few yards away, Silva rushed over and guzzled down the cool liquid, forgetting to check her surroundings first.

Chessur could hear their stomach growling like a caged tiger. How long had it been since they had eaten? He certainly couldn't seem to remember. Perhaps he had eaten before he awoke, but from the ruckus his belly was making he doubted it. The Great Glasgow stretched his paws out wide in front of him and arched his back, stretching his stiff muscles. Then, spotting a nearby tree, he proceeded to sharpen his claws a bit. Ah! How good it felt to do his morning ritual. Ready for the hunt, the cat began scanning the meadow for any nearby prey.
It wasn't terribly long before he spotted his lunch, not too far off he could see something land not too far off from him. Perhaps that might be his next meal? He certainly hoped it was edible, he wasn't particularly fond of the green vegetation that grew so freely. They would certainly take meat over it any day. Destination in mind, the feline made his way to the creature he had seen.
At first glance he had thought that perhaps his quarry was a bird, yet as he grew closer he realized that he was mistaken. His prey indeed had wings, but it was most certainly not a bird. Or if it was it was an extremely large one. His stomach rumbled again. Could he eat it? It certainly looked edible, yet he doubted that it would be an easy kill.

Silva continued to drink up the water greedily until she caught a strange scent. If she hadn't been downwind of the creature, she might never have noticed it at all. Startled, she raised her head, eyes wide, ears alert, and wings ready to take her into flight if she was in any danger. It took the mare a few moments until she spotted the creature. There about fifty or so yards from her was a large, well, she supposed it was a cat. Immediately she felt her heart skip a beat. Was this cat hunting her? Had she run into one of those skinwalkers her father had always told her about? Like the one who had killed her uncle? Silva knew she should run, all of her senses screamed at her to do so, and yet she didn't. This creature might be some sort of cat, but she could tell he wasn't a skinwalker. No, he was something else and she was too curious to run.
Gathering up her courage, Silva began to make her way over to the creature. Why not be friendly? If it sensed fear it would only make her situation worse. Silva Luna was very careful to stop a safe distance away from the creature. She would be safe enough as long as she had an escape route.
"Hello there." She called out to the stranger cheerfully. "What might you be?"

The Great Glagow licked his lips in anticipation as he crouched closer and closer to the creature. Just a few more yards and he would be able to make his attack. Slowly he crept on and on, until she looked up. Immediately the cat froze, hoping that she hadn't seen him. Then, as she started forward, he cursed himself. She had most definitely seen them, and she didn't even pretend to be afraid. While he watched her move closer, he grumbled to himself about his lack of hunting skills and made note to bother himself about it when he woke up.
As the mare stopped a little ways off he debated on pouncing anyway. She didn't seem to be afraid of him and that might make the kill easier. Yet she was too far away. With those wings of hers it would only be a matter of seconds and she would be up in the air and out of his reach. No. He couldn't attack just yet. Instead he would play nice. He would talk to her, gain her trust, and then he would make his move.
"Me?" He asked, incredulous that she did not know him. "Why I am Chessur the Great Glagow." He told her proudly, paw held to his chest as he talked. "But who, dare I ask, are you? And what are you?" He grinned mischievously at the mare, growing curiouser and curiouser.

The mare tilted her head to the side and eyed the creature curiously. She supposed he had named himself, yet she still had no idea what he was. Just what was a glasgow anyway? It certainly wasn't anything she had ever heard of before. Cautiously, Silva crept closer to the creature while staying just out of paws reach. He was still strange to her and she did not trust those claws of his. It would only take one wrong step from her and she'd be cat food.
"And what, may I ask, is a Glasgow?" She figured the only way to really know what it was was to simply ask. Although she wasn't entirely sure a Glasgow was even quite real. The stallion seemed a little 'off' to her and she wouldn't be all that surprised if it was simply something that he had come up with himself. Actually, now that she thought about it, that seemed to be the more reasonable explanation.

Chessur eyed the mare carefully, watching her every step. If he could just get her to move a few inches closer to them he would have her. His eyes watched her hooves as she slowly picked them up and placed them ever nearer to him. Just another, just one more step... and yet she stopped there. Far too wary to move any closer. Chessur cursed the mare silently. Why must his prey always be so intelligent? He supposed his life would be dull without a little bit of resistance from his prey, but an easy dinner would be nice here and there.
When it was clear that the mare would not be stepping any nearer to him, Chessur turned his eyes back to her face. "You've never heard of a Glasgow before? Well I suppose not, it's not as if there's more than just us. We're quite popular and important back in the Wonderland, but I suppose out here no one really seems to know us. I won't bore you with all of the details as you see, there are a decent number of them."

Silva could feel the eyes of the stallion watching her. They focused on her every move and missed nothing. She couldn't help but notice that his appearance reminded her of a cat, and so did his gaze. The mare found it all very unnerving. The way that the stallion watched her made her feel like prey, and for all she knew she very well could be just that. She knew that more now than ever, she needed to watch herself carefully. One wrong move could mean her life now. Her father had warned her about skin walkers when she was a child, she wondered now if there were other evil creatures out there was well. Just because this one didn't have the signs of a skinwalker didn't mean that he wasn't capable of being just as evil did it? Or even if he wasn't as evil as a skinwalker, he might still find her delicious.
Slowly, Silva took in deep breaths and forced herself to calm down. Getting upset now would only get her killed. If this creature wanted her for dinner, she would have to be careful not to slip up. It would only take one mistake and that would be the end of her. She couldn't let that happen, she would talk herself out of this and get as far away from this creature as possible.
"I certainly appreciate being spared the details." She smiled at the cat, careful not to show that she was afraid. "I'm afraid we don't have any Glasgows here, but I suppose that means that you can be our only one!" Silva was sure the creature was nuts, this 'Glasgow' or whatever it was likely didn't even exist. Not to mention he kept speaking of 'we' and 'us'. He was definitely nutters.

The Great Glasgow stared intently at the mare, hoping she might come closer to him. However, she made no movement closer to him. He could tell that she was being cautious, even though she appeared to be behaving normally otherwise. How could he get her closer to her? Sure she was close enough now that he might be able to lunge at her, yet if he did that there was too great a chance that she would take to the air. She might not appear to be frightened of him, yet he could tell that she was not completely trusting of them either.
"I do suppose that would be quite nice. Being the same as everyone else is never any fun at all. Although I do suppose that I am the same as myself, so I won't ever really be able to be completely unique, but in it's own way I suppose that that is what makes me the most unique of all isn't it? Well it does seem to be the case I suppose. Speaking of which, I'd introduce you to Chessur but it seems as if he is not here at the moment. You see we left our leg behind last night, so we had to go back and get it. Made him rather tired, I at least was able to rest some while we walked. I'd wake him now but you really don't want to deal with him when he first wakes up. You'd think you would have just told him his favorite pet had died or something." The cat babbled on without much particular thought. Perhaps if he talked to the mare long enough she might get careless and begin to trust him. As soon as she let her guard down then he could make his move.
