Yes and no. I like a lot of their first albums. Not looking to their new one. And, have lost a little respect for them, because of the Album art of the the new one. It rips off Lich King's mascot. And really, not okay with someone that takes something from a fellow metal band.

But, They are a soothing band, so, ya I do enjoy them. (=

I would definitely say that City of Evil is one of my favorite albums and my favorite Avenged Sevenfold album. Although Diamonds In The Rough. btw, i realize that you put that album as a video Martidir, and that it was sort of embarrasing for me to say you forgot it, but the fact is that Live in the LBC/Diamonds in The Rough is actually a live album/DVD package. It contains B-sides by them that to me are very much underrated (Crossroads being the biggest one). I don't think it really does much justice to it to just put it as a video.

I've been a fan of them for a few years. Haven't had a chance to listen to the new album yet, but I like the single that's out. I wish I could go see them when they come through my state, but unfortunately, I work for a haunted house and all my free time in October is spoken for. gonk

Avenged Sevenfold isn't Avenged Sevenfold without The Rev. I'll listen to any album once before knocking it, but Hail To The King just isn't my cup of tea.

As a guitarist, I completely respect Synister gates, cause he's actually a pretty good guitarist, but there's soooo many things that just kill the band for me...

For one: The singer just annoys the s**t out'a me. His voice just destroys a completely good riff.

Two: Silly a** stage names, and silly-a** ego.

Three: Fan-base.

love Avenged Sevenfold. I remember watching the music video for Beast and the Harlot when it first aired. First song/music video I have ever heard of their music. Then the video for Seize The Day aired and I knew I had to buy City Of Evil cd.

Yeah, I agree. I still love the band, but since Jimmy died it just hasn't been the same. 'So Far Away' strikes me every time. sad

I didn't cry, but I was very emotionally shaken. However, I'm glad the band is still going strong.
