This is a private Rp conducted on AIM between Faid & Yumitoko II.
Please do not post unless invited to do so.

Note For Niss - Sterenna is maxed for stats so you only need to worry about Eddie's stats and Yumis Teepee.

Sterenna had been with Eddie and his family for what seemed a long time now, not having left, though she felt guilty for imposing. Truth be told she felt safe here and was reluctant to give that feeling up. While still shy she had come out of her shell and shown that she had a sweet and charming nature, prone to laughing easily and being warm to everyone around her once she knew them. The summer sun had drawn her outside to oak out the heat, her delicate wings spread as she stands in the sunlight by the river. Not having ventured far from home since running into that odd stallion that had chased her thinking her evil.

Eyes closed she smiled, enjoying the sounds and feel of the area around her, glad of it and the warmth seeping into her. This forest was different to the jungle she was used to, it not cold when it was winter and when it rained... Her delicate wings ached when it got cold, it had made her first winter a hard time for her.

He'd watch her wings glisten in the summer, they were sparkly but not blinding, the warm light from them almost gave a stained glass effect. He would never let on that he had been watching his beauty, as he was always too shy and thought it may make her feel uncomfortable. Eddie never asked her too much of her past because he understood that she would speak when she wanted to, but he'd always be there when she wanted to. This past was very mysterious but it's something which brought her to him and he was glad he had gotten the chance.

Eddie had known her a good while and was determined to never let her go. Sometimes he had to stop and laugh at himself for being so silly and for letting his heart beat as fast as it would during his fastest gallop. No-one else had this effect on him. When he let it go to his head, sometimes he'd freeze.

"Enjoying the sun", he smiled as he joined at her right side, despite him being so shy and clumsy at times, she hadn't even left him nor had she raised the matter, for that he was glad, her feelings were obviously genuine enough for her to make this decision to stay.

Opening her peridot eyes she drew her wings back into their usual position and gave her a warm smile. "I'm used to warmer weather, its wonderful to feel the heat soaking into my coat, to not have wings that ache because its a little chilly..." Using the phrase Aku had used when they had been ankle deep in snow... Little chilly indeed....

Looking at the river and the light dancing on it. "Its beautiful here, different from home but no less lovely." The stone in her pendant sparkled in the sun scattering rainbows about them for a moment, shifting the bangles around her tail jingling softly.

"What about you, do you like the summer?" Smiling at him, smelling the fresh herb scent hat followed him, her eyes slimming his coat, he was so brilliantly white in most places that in the sunshine it was a little hard to look at him too much as he seemed to shine too.

Eddie knew of the jungles she'd talked about and the weather there, the plants there made the forests around him sound second class. It made him a little sad that things were difficult for her in the winter, he'd considered the hot springs worth a visit although the journey would be long and maybe a bit tough for her but she could sit on his back if her little hooves ever began to hurt. "I'm really sorry about that, I didn't know the winter would be so difficult for you. Maybe next time I can take you away somewhere warmer? It mustn't be nice having to deal with that all the time."

She was always so modest and never really complained, this lead him to believe that even if she didn't have strong bones, her will was strong at least. Summer was indeed her season, she owned it, her connection to the big star in the sky wasn't just a story it was a fact. He wished he had as much grace as her but she was so graceful she made him look like a massive klutz without fail, but he began to accept this just as he gradually began to accept his feelings for her.

"I like to visit the beach", he exclaimed, his inner foal had escaped and the beach is where he'd experienced some of his best memories and the sand. The memories were as clear as the blue sky, Addy had been a great teacher, protector and friend, the memories of him peaking out through her long mane surfaced. Soon he was brought back to reality by the sun beating on him a little too hard on some more sensitive parts of his skin,"but the sand does get hot and I like the shade because …I turn a little pink sometimes."

Her smile brightening and nodding. "I'd love to go to the beach, though we can't have you turning pink, but sitting in the shade would be nice and still warm." Nodding and smiling at him, tilting her head, her long curls hanging and dancing in the slight wind. Looking up at his antlers then back down to him and smiling, not really bothered by the sun unless she was in it a long time.

"Can we paddle a little first?" She had a liking for the water, but she never swam, but then her wings would probably be ruined if she submerged them fully. She did take longer to bathe because of that though, she didn't like being a bother and was always very sorry for being slow. Turning to face him with a cute little prance. "Please show me the beach, I'd like to see it!" Showing one of her rare moments of being more bouncy and exuberant, though this was as bouncy as she had ever gotten.

"Of course!" He strode gently into the water as if trying not to disturb the surface of it with the ripples her created his real intentions were not to splash Sterenna. He let the water carry some of hid weight and he turned to face her. He never minded the time and care she took to look after herself, he knew it was all for a good reason. He shuddered a little,"the water's cold!" He'd failed to keep it in.

'It's okay, I'll get used to it….it's somewhat cooling…who am I kidding?! It's bloody freezing!', he thought to himself. He'd only allowed his legs to get wet because he would sometimes like to ferry Sterenna around whilst trying his best to keep his back out of the water. Despite it's fluidity, water always carried a lot of weight and he'd hate for it to ruin her wings, things like this always required a lot of trust.

The light skimmed along the small peaks of the water, he knew during the summer he was sometimes a little bit of an eye sore, gleaming white burning in the retina of creatures who weren't used to this light, that was another reason for his attraction to the shade on the hottest of days.

Eddie quickly recovered,"have you been to many beaches before Star?"
If the answer was no he'd have to be careful to protect her from the water. The sea was magnificent but in truth the waves could be rough and the salt could do more damage to your hair and eyes than good. But the sand could be fun to him, people understood the fun in building castles and crushing the forts of others, but when it started to cling to get locks and sure, then it wasn't fun.
But it was better for sun because there was less trees shading everything on the ground.

Still perched on the edge of the water, looking at him. "Do we need to go in the river to get to the beach?" Seeming a little puzzled but smiling as she shrinks and flutters over to his back. Not able to get as small as a butterfly, at least not one that you would see around here, but she did get small, only a few inches tall. Kneeling on his back as it was a more sturdy position, resting her head down and nuzzling the tips of his mane that were close. She trusted Eddie implicitly, he had saved her, been nothing but a gentleman to her. She never wanted to leave him and was determined to find a way to stay with him.

Giving a little tug on his mane, knowing hearing her was hard when she was small, speaking when his head was closer. "I'm with you, wherever you want to go."

"From here I think so", he didn't nod like his body told him to because he wanted to keep everything level," just a little float down the river and across the lake, I hope you don't mind."
Her mane nuzzling ticked and he almost laughed before he remembered he was to stay still,
he gently turned his head and ear to her when she wanted to speak. Her soft words warmed his heart.

Edward began to paddle down stream gently. He let the river do part of the work for him.
He still felt shy around her but this was a lot less than when she first arrived. "You've been so nice to me despite conditions being cold and my shy tendencies, how do you ever deal with me? I can't believe it half the time, a beautiful mare like you hanging out with me.You know I'm very grateful for your company and your kindness…"

His shyness forced his speech off the trail, he shyly laughed,"I just wanted to say thank you." He reached land and put her down gently out of harm's way.

Settling on her hooves again she grew, she knew by normal standards she was small, but he never seemed to mind that, she didn't feel small when she was with him. Smiling up at him. "You have nothing to thank me for Eddie, I love being with you, I feel safe and cared for with you, its something that I'm very grateful for...." Blushing as she stepped forward, pressing her nose against his neck, just under his mane. "You never asked me anything but I want you to know... Maybe when we sit in the shade at the beach I can tell you... about why I left.... About who I am... or was..." Stepping back and looking up at him, offering a small smile. "Lets walk in the sun, it can warm and dry you from your trip in the cold water."

There were always moments where Eddie just wanted to forget about everything else and cuddle her for as long as Equinely possible, but maybe that'd be too much for her, she'd need some time to breathe and that's what he'd always given her,"I'm glad for you", his ears perked up," that's all I ever want you to feel."

His ears pressed back when her nose touched his neck, "I don't because I don't think it's my business to, unless you make it so, I'm just glad I met you."
He took her small smile with gratitude and exchanged it for a small nod and his own smile.

"From now there aren't many trees and it isn't far. I'd very much like the dry off before we hit the sand too", he beamed.
