Shun let out a breath as he walked on out of the monster dorms. He was tired and worn, and it showed to an extent. Though he tried not to let it show, it wasn't hard, especially when things were tough emotionally for him as well. As a result, for now he just tried to focus on getting a few things to bring back into the room. Some foods that he knew Mitsu liked and whatnot. She could use the little boost in fear as far as he was concerned... whether or not she wanted it.
Running a hand through his hair, he just shoved his hands into his pockets and started to walk. He didn't want to spend too much time away from her right now so he was hoping to make this trip a quick one.

Meanwhile Riyo was out and about. She was making a visible effort to leave her dorm. Be out in the open where there were more people in case a certain someone decided he wanted to ask her more uncomfortable questions she would undoubtedly say no to. What had happened with the horsemen danced at the back of her mind, though the brunt of it was being pissed about the tramp stamp she'd received at the very beginning. Seriously? It couldn't have been placed somewhere different?
Cat hood up, the ghoul was preoccupied with a strange little ball in a cup game. It had been a source of entertainment since the downfall of her company. Now that she had a severe lack of responsibility, the ghoul felt... Anxious. There was only so much she could read, so many notes she could play, and so many push ups she could do before questions plagued her as they usually did. If it wasn't something, it was something else, right?
Though, a thought she hadn't acknowledged in awhile came back up as she passed the monster dorms and spotted a certain reaper exiting them. Her feelings about Shun, though still very hateful, were mixed right now. Somewhere on the rim of wanting to slap him and wanting to try to confirm what she feared. How Mitsu was. What had happened to her.
"Hey." The ghoul called, successfully landing the ball in the cup after the emotionless greeting. "How is she?" No, Riyo wasn't going to ask how you were Shun. Just Mitsu.

Not long after he had exited the dorms, Shun spotted a certain feline whom he really didn't get along with most of the time. He furrowed his brow at her, planning on walking past, but she soon addressed him. The fact that she didn't ask about himself didn't bother him in the slightest. Frowning at the question, he glanced briefly at the dorms and let out a sigh.
"Recovering. Unfortunately I feel it may be a long time before she's back to normal completely.." he murmured quietly.

Riyo was going to conceal the bee in her bonnet for now. Answers first, accusations later. What Shun said didn't really do anything for the ghoul, so it was time to ask more questions.
The feline's arms folded. "Yes, but recovering from what? Besides the obvious trauma." There was one question she really wanted to ask, though she was hesitant to do so.
"Why... Did she look at me like that?" Riyo had tried to brush it off. She really had, but it felt so wrong...

Shun grimaced as Riyo decided to toss more questions at him, though paused at the one regarding how Mitsu looked at her. He actually wasn't sure what look she was talking about but he had a decent idea what the reason would be anyway.
"I don't know what they've done to her. She's exhausted but... she doesn't remember anything. What they've done, who she is aside from her name, or anyone. Not even me."
Unintentionally, his voice had grown rather soft with that last sentence. It hurt to admit it.

So... That was it.
Mitsu didn't remember anything. Nothing that had happened, past or present. None of her friends...
Not even Shun.
Riyo's brows knitted together, her eyes falling to the concrete below. The very thought made the feline feel... Strange. Really it was a mixture of things that added up to the strange feeling. Hurt, confused, and frankly... A bit jealous.
The wolf had lost all her memories. Sure, that meant she had no recollection of the good, but all the bad was gone. Out of there. Nonexistent. Mitsu was a clean slate. All traumatic events didn't matter, and therefore all nervous ticks thanks to trauma were gone too. She was... Free from the chains of her mind.
And by that same token, there was no real reason for Mitsu to put up with Riyo. Nothing binding her to interaction with the ghoul. Nothing to give her reason to put up with the feline's bad attitude.
But... Was that... Really a bad thing?
The whole idea had Riyo beside herself. Whether or not she should see this as a blessing in disguise or a horrible tragedy right up front.
So it was time to take a different route. "Shun. If you love Mitsu so much how could you let that happen to her?" It was a low, soft voice. Just audible enough to be heard by the boil. The fact that he had so boldly proclaimed his love for the ghoul to make Riyo feel like s**t at the prom had not been forgotten, and she was ready to pay him back for it, tragedy or not.

Shun thought that was all there was, so he was about to keep moving, but then Riyo spoke up once more. The question caused him to freeze completely, as well as for his fists to clench up tightly. Immediately, he turned towards her and glared at her right in the eye.
"Do you think I wanted this to happen?" he hissed lowly. She might not have said it, but her words implied it for sure. And it pissed him off.
"Do you seriously believe that I wanted to watch her get whisked away by hunters after getting beaten to the point where I could barely move?" he added lowly while taking another step towards her, "If it were my choice none of this s**t would have happened. But as it turns out I was too ******** weak to do anything about it."
Letting out a huff, he took a step back and turned away.
"I couldn't protect her," he muttered lowly. He didn't need Riyo to remind him of that matter. It was a thought that had been haunting him since it first happened.

"No. I don't think you wanted it to happen." Riyo retorted, standing her ground with feet firmly planted and arms folded. Yes, this was what she was looking for. "I just recall back at prom how you stood on your soap box and preached to me about how much you loved that ghoul in there. You spoke of it as if no matter what scenario you faced, your love would somehow magically save her and comfort her. How's that working for you now, champ?"
Riyo had gone from quiet to loud enough in seconds. The very thought of him proclaiming love made her skin crawl. "Looks like love's really kicking your a** right now, huh? From the tone of your voice, I'd wager it's a lot more trouble than it's worth."

"I got her back didn't I?" he hissed sharply, "I never said I would magically save her but ******** hell I tried. You weren't there. You didn't spend days of fighting, doing every last thing you could do to try and find a way to the island. I wouldn't have stopped either if I hadn't known that Medea was planning something."
The Reaper gritted his teeth as he stared hard at the girl.
"If it were more trouble than it's worth I'd leave her right now for her to find someone else. Let her start anew. But what the ******** do you know? Yes. It hurts. Like hell. Is that what you wanted to hear? Well there you ******** go. It wasn't my decision to fall in love with her but you know what? I don't. ********. Regret it."
Glancing to the side, he let out a breath and calmed himself back down. He managed to not raise his voice but his tone had been rather angry.
"Even if she never remembers me. Even if she never returns those feelings again. For as long as she would allow me, I will stay at her side supporting her."

"I don't know, DID YOU?" Because it sure didn't seem like the ghoul he had brought back was anything that the old Mitsu was.
Riyo, however, let the boil talk. She listened, and she stared right back into that eye, her own face forming a scowl.
What the ******** did she know?! A lot of things!
... None of them really involving love.
Was that what she wanted to hear? Yes! Hell Yes! Though, it didn't really feel as good as she thought it would.
But... The level of dedication to something that might as well been a lost cause, it boggled her. The very thought made Riyo's head spin. How could he knowingly waste his time for someone who might not even return the feeling? And how could he not regret it?
"Augh! That makes no ******** sense!" The ghoul's hands lifted up to vigorously rub her head as if it might help the processing. "So love is being completely ******** stupid because your moral system thinks it's the right thing to do? Yeah? Am I getting it right?"

"Well she isn't a ******** weapon right now," Shun said lowly. He didn't know what it was that Riyo was trying to get here but he was starting to think that she just wanted to feed off of his misery. Or something like that.
"The right thing to do? You're asking the wrong person. I don't do things because it's 'right or wrong'. I do it because I want to. Because I ******** care about her. She needs support right now. She deserves it. I didn't know what it was before I met her and to an extent I still don't know. I can't tell you what the ******** love is or isn't but I wouldn't expect you to understand it in the slightest. You, who just ran off and let her cry instead of trying to help her. Hell even now you're just here looking down on me instead going in and seeing if she's alright for yourself."
He let out a breath and shoved his hands into his pockets, still angry.
"Being there for her no matter what is the least I can do for having chosen me of all people before. I might not have been strong enough to prevent this from happening to her but like hell that I'll be so weak and cowardly to run away because it hurts."

Riyo wouldn't admit that Shun had a good point. Indeed, Mitsu wasn't a weapon. That was one good thing.
She also wouldn't admit that Shun functioned much the same way as she did. Nevermind what everyone considered right or wrong. What mattered was what you wanted. Yes, the fact that they worked on that same wavelength bothered her very much.
Then the ball came back into her court. Riyo's eyes narrowed as the reaper practically talked down to her. Brought back up the crying. An effort to take a nut shot to the feline's emotions. He was never going to let that go, was he? Not like she really let much go either but Jack damn! It was like the only thing he had on her and he was going to milk it until that cow was desert dry.
"Get over yourself, you ********. If I'm so bad, then it's a good thing I'm not visiting her now!" The feline shouted, her ears folding down against her head. "Then she won't have to put up with me. She can forget I ever existed and have nothing but good friends to take care of her."
It looked like she was on the boarder of angry and sad now, still leaning more towards angry. "In fact, maybe she'll start to hate me because of the way I treat you. Then you won't have to worry about having to put up with me for her sake. Yeah! Look at that! I'm doing both of you a favor!"

Shun stared hard as Riyo began to shout at him.
"Che. So you are just going to abandon her then," he said darkly before glancing towards the dorm, "Maybe I shouldn't have listed you among those who are friends of hers then. Especially when I said her friends wouldn't just drop her."
He really didn't know why he had added Riyo. The Reaper never understood how the two were friends. But, he included her anyway. Begrudgingly. So much for giving the feline a shred of faith. He should have known better himself.

A-abandon her? No! Riyo didn't think of it like that at all!
That was how it would seem, though.
The look Riyo gave Shun was something that suggested she couldn't believe he would say such a thing. Listed? What? Why would he do that?
"... I don't want to hurt her anymore, Shun." It was an admittance to the guilt she felt for leaving Mitsu to cry. She had been trying to hide it. Trying to justify it in her own mind never quite worked. "I was the only one who really profited off our friendship. I feel like a virus, feeding off her good nature." Her voice was quiet again, eyes skimming the ground to avoid looking the boil in the eye now. It seemed like no matter what she did, Riyo would still be the bad person. If she stayed, inevitably she would hurt the ghoul again and not know what to do, but if she left, it would be abandonment to avoid being torn up on the inside again.

"She saw something in you apparently though. Whether or not I like it, that was there," Shun murmured. He supposed in a way it was like how she saw something in him, even before they were together. Perhaps it was just her trusting nature.. the one that had gotten her into trouble. But he couldn't really say for sure.
"If it were me, I'd let her decide," he stated. In a way, that was what he did with her, telling the lycan that he would remain for as long as she wanted him there. And she didn't want him to leave.
"Just keep in mind she might get her memory back, and I'm counting on that to happen."
And when or if she did, anything any of them did while she was not quite all there would probably be known.
