I was wondering what technique(s) everyone has had a hard time learning. For me, since I have not been very brave about trying new techniques, the hardest one for me to learn has been learning how to knit I cords.

What is the hardest techniques you have all learned? What tricks have helped?

Mine would probably be purl back and front. Sounds simpe enough but I somehow always manage to purl into the back in the wrong place.

not getting finger prints or nail marks in my clay

edit, didnt notice this was the knitting part of the guild sweatdrop

I can't for the life of me understand short rows and shaping the neck for sweaters. I still haven't figured it out.
