Dove sighed, completely at ease with her world as she dug her bare toes into the warm sand under her feet. Never would she have thought a day at the beach without all of her team could be so relaxing. There was nothing today that could change her mood, save an unexpected call from her boyfriend to further lift her spirits--which, she thought to herself, was unlikely; he had been traveling for the past several days on a business trip and likely wouldn't be able to call her until late into the afternoon, in this region. She would simply have to wait until then.
Taking good care to evenly apply sunscreen-- her agents would KILL her if she were to let herself burn while on vacation-- over every exposed inch of her skin, the young actress-model admired her surroundings, fondly letting her eyes fall to the small Eevee pawing happily at the sand beside her. Though the rest of her team was safely tucked away back home, Dove never travelled without Lovey. The two had never been apart.
"Enjoying yourself, Lovey?"
The little sand covered ball of fur yipped happily in response.
It was going to be a good, calm day.

The sun was sure shining bright, but why wouldn't it? For a day at the beach what more could you expect? Tan bodies prancing around showing off and working out. They were all having fun- the objective of their outing today. Cal had felt that two of her pokemon, Tybalt and Pistol, had been kept out of their true element for too long. Herself included. A little sunlight wouldn't hurt once in a while, and it's warmth coupled with the cool breeze felt refreshing. Simply amazing, she thought with a long sigh as she released the two water pokemon.
Tybalt gave an excited yelp as he jostled Pistol and instantly they were off toward the surf. They both waved frantically back at their trainer but were soon too concerned with the water fight they started later. "Be careful you two!" She really didn't have anything to worry about with them. They only one that would be a problem would be Skye. He so far had been firmly planted on her shoulders. "Skye!" She loosened the fat Raichu from her shoulders and into her arms. "Do you know how heavy you are?" All Skye decided to do was stare back at Cal lovingly. Something that didn't quite work. She set him down and pulled the beach ball from her bag. "Now play with that and stay out of trouble."
Too late. Skye had hit the ball and let it get carried away by the breeze, bouncing near a trainer and her Eevee.

Though the sound of the waves lapping at the shore very nearly had Dove drifting off further than just into simple daydreams, the young model-actress forced herself to stay awake; there were plenty of people on the beach, and Lovey couldn't be trusted to just wander around alone. After all, the little eevee was more directionally challenged than the trainer herself, and Dove didn't want to even think about losing her. It hadn't happened yet, and she certainly didn't plan on it happening any time soon.
When the ball rolled into Lovey's range, the eevee righted itself, eyes wide, then pounced onto the toy, yipping excitedly, only stopping with a small huff as the ball rolled over under her weight and left her yet again on her back in the sand.
Dove sat up quickly, confused as to where the ball had come from. "What in the world...?"
A quick glance to her left answered her question. Scooping up the ball and the excited pokemon under it, the girl rose from her spot on the beach, offering the ball back to the other pokemon with a smile on her face. "Hey! Is this yours?"
