Super Sailor Pasiphae was not certain, at all, that she wanted to be on the street so soon after Chaos had ambushed the forces of Order. Her memories of the event, and the pain it had caused to those she cared about, were still overly fresh in her mind. She had never been the go-get-'em type of girl, and she had already poured all of her minimal efforts into that more recent battle. Yet, one thing that Pasiphae had always been, whether in civilian or in Senshi form, was willing to do her duty. So when she felt the power of a lone ally standing against a force of Chaos while walking home from the public library? She could not--she would not--ignore it.
It had taken only a few moments for her to slip into a side street and transform, and she accepted the fuku as though the materials were armor and not merely cloth. Minutes later, her running down the street revealed a familiar Senshi, one in a monochrome fuku aside from her blazing orange gem. The Senshi that Kallichore had begged her to protect in the battle, but that she had not seen on her brief trip to the moon. An excited gasp escaped her lips to alert the other Senshi to her presence, "Tsui!"
The youma was a somewhat crab-like creature, all jointed legs and armor with few immediately apparent weak spots. Its large claws were raised, and when one of them went to snap at Tsui, Pasiphae called for her magic, "Pasiphae Social Pariah!" As the shield began to form, she dashed to close the distance between her and Tsui. She would protect the girl this time. She would make Kallichore proud.

It was the first time Sailor Tsui had finally ventured out of her apartment since the ordeal, and it seemed that the world was going out of its way to prove to her just how wrong she had been, as the moment she ventured away from the apartment and transformed, she had immediately picked up on the dark aura and decided to pursuit it. Two weeks ago she would have stalked in and observed from a distance until she could determine if it were a Dark Mirror Senshi, a Negaverse lieutenant or a youma, but after the ambush, Tsui stalked towards it with the intent to stop it, whatever it may be. The truce was over in her mind, and it was her luck that the one she was hunting down was, in fact, just another youma. She had no qualms in killing them. After all, they were nothing but mindless predators, seeking out the innocent and weak without a mind of their own. And what did you send out to kill a predator? A bigger predator, and there were few predators bigger than that of a tiger, Tsui thought, and without the usual finesse or flash, she engaged the youma without ever once looking at what it was, considering what its strengths or weaknesses were. Sailor Tsui had one plan of attack: attack. And now she was paying the price for her brash actions. As strong as her fists and 'claws' were, the crab-like youma was graced with strong plating and Tsui had barely managed to avoid those nasty claws when she heard someone shout her name, just moments before the shield closed around her, trapping her inside but also saving her from what looked like it would have been quite a nasty pinch. The youma made a noise, as though it were gargling bubbles and pebbles, but Tsui paid little attention to it now that Super Sailor Pasiphae was before her. "Pasiphae..." Tsui's excitement to see her was only overshadowed by the ping of shame that she felt without ever once hitting the shield. No, the shame she felt was natural, and for someone who had decked enemy agents well beyond her power range and German suplexed a youma, Tsui was surprisingly tame when addressing Pasiphae. "I'm alright... you don't have to protect me anymore!" The youma scuttled closer, its red eyes on its new target, and black and violet bubbles spewed from its mouth like drool. Perhaps it was considering how this one tasted... Quicksilver the Archangel

"Of... of course I have to protect you," Pasiphae nervously shot back to Tsui, determined to engage the youma completely before her shield fell. Once the magic was gone, she was certain the eager young Senshi would dash straight back into battle. Both of them would need to work together to defeat the youma, the Shame Senshi knew. She had never defeated a youma, or any enemy, on her own. Only as a member of a team--be it the Jovians, or any of the allies of Order. Maybe she could get that through to Tsui, as well? "I promised Kallichore... I promised you! We're all a team. ... Aren't we?" Luckily, the youma seemed to have completely abandoned its attack on Tsui to focus on her. Pasiphae had fought armored creatures before, but the encounter sticking out in her mind the most at this point was with Niflhel. Possibly because he had been so prominent in the meeting before the ambush; possibly because of how hard fought the youma fight with him had seemed then, and how easy it seemed in comparison to what she had endured now. If it had armor on the top... then the underbelly would surely be soft. But how to get it to roll over for them? She dodged a claw and swung wildly towards one of the youma's eyestalks, the only immediate weakpoint that she could see. The impact was soft and unpleasant, but it seemed effective as the creature screamed in pain.

The crab-like youma gave a screech and actually scuttled backwards when its claw hit the impenetrable shield, and it scuttled even further away after Pasiphae's blow, but it did not retreat or expose its underbelly, much to Tsui's dismay. She was eager to get out of the shield now. The memories of the ambush and how helpless she was when the page was being torn apart before her very eyes- Pasiphae's words had not gone unheard and they actually helped ground Tsui back to reality before the poor page's face came to her mind. No, she didn't want to remember him right now, not unless he was fueling her attack. She gave a nod and once the shield had begun to fade, Tsui not only stood ready to attack, but like Pasiphae had predicted, she charged towards the youma. She gave a growl as she ran past Pasiphae, "I don't need protection!" By this time the youma had finally recovered from Pasiphae's blow, and Tsui had fallen back to her many years of gymnastics to jump at just the right moment and used the creature's back as a vault to leap over him and land behind him. This left the youma confused and as it struggled to turn around to face Tsui, the Tiger senshi called to Pasiphae. "But... I'd like to have a partner instead. Got any ideas?" Partner? Pasiphae wasn't sure that she could be any one person's partner, but the word made her smile nevertheless. It meant Tsui would continue to work with her, even if she was avoiding protection. Maybe it was for the best that she was--they could protect each other through fighting. Her maroon eyes widened as she watched the athletic girl vault over the youma, the shout from behind the creature telling her that she had landed safely. Pasiphae brought nothing to the table, really, other than some practical experience and determination, so Tsui's abilities were very impressive to her. "I... I might now. I can call a shield around myself--maybe you can use it to propel yourself towards the youma with more force? Either... onto its back or into its eye or... something? Whatever you think best," Pasiphae stopped herself short of babbling, but her nervousness was beginning to increase. Tsui would surely be looking to her for answers, the way that the Shame Senshi had looked to those more experienced than her for information. Europa would be better, or Kallichore, or Chaonis or... or anyone! But Pasiphae was the one that the Tiger Senshi had at the moment. "Either way, it should make it reach up, and I can slide under to try and flip it over?" She wasn't even sure if her plan was making any sense, and she dodged the next snip from the crab youma a little too slowly to avoid a blow. Luckily, it hit mostly butt-bow, but the slight scrape against her back did make her hiss. Whatever they were going to do, they would need to do quickly.

While Tsui was more of an all action kind of gal, she did have a small part of her that respected strategy. Perhaps it was the part of her that wanted to survive the encounter that made her appreciate the strategical approach that Pasiphae offered and she saw the wisdom in her advice. She needed Tsui to propel herself at the youma with more force? White aura gathered at Tsui's arms and fists, and her shout was to draw the youma's attention back towards her and alert Pasiphae of the incoming attack. "More force? You picked the right Senshi... alright, here it comes!" A part of the pre-ambush Tsui had shone through for a moment, as her charge left her feeling strong, confident in herself again, and her yell could only be compared to that of a roar of a tiger, as she brought the claws crashing down on the crab-like face of the youma. "Tiger Fist STRIKE!" As armored and heavy as the youma was, it could not hold its ground after such an attack and flew backwards, straight towards Pasiphae. Tsui hadn't stopped in her charged, running after him and preparing to strike it again if she needed to. "Pasiphae, use your shield! Now!" Quicksilver the Archangel

Of all the strategies that could have been chosen, Pasiphae wasn't quite expecting one that would send the giant crab hurtling towards her face! Still, when she heard Tsui's warning she sucked in a breath and shouted for her lower level attack, not wanting to grow too weak in case she needed to throw another shield around her ally, "Pasiphae Shameful Isolation!" The maroon barrier barely had time to form before the youma crashed into it. It cracked and crumbled beneath the youma's weight, falling faster than normal. As a result, the Shame Senshi was struck by the somewhat slowed youma and sent flying back herself. All the same, the goal had been met. The moment of distraction provided by the shield kept the youma from righting itself. The youma's jointed legs waved in the air like a roach turned over onto its back, and it gave a loud screech as it tried to right itself. It knew that its weak spot had been exposed and did not like it one bit!

"Dammit! Sorry!" Tsui shouted at the sight of Pasiphae being knocked down, but she had no time to waste in helping her back up. The youma had fallen onto its back and was kicking frantically, and Tsui had to move quickly. Once again, she put her years of training to good use, vaulting off of the exposed stomach of the youma and launching herself into the air with a flip. Once she was in the right position, she summoned the white aura back to her arms and gave another shout, summoning her attack and charging directly down. "Tiger Fist STRIKE!" She had done this once before but not when the enemy was directly below her, but in principle if should have been the same as if it were pinned to the wall. She rushed forward and slammed both of the claw-shaped energy downward, striking the exposed underbelly and not stopping until she felt herself practically exploding through him and hitting the ground below. Her arms and feet stung from the blow but it was worth it to hear its last garble of pain before dissipating into dust. Another youma killed, another score for Tsui... and her partner. Tsui was too proud to admit that her ankles were stinging too much for her to go check on Pasiphae, so she called to the Senshi as she remained as she were, kneeling on the ground where the youma once was. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean for it to hurt you like that. Are you okay?" Quicksilver the Archangel

Pasiphae looked up just in time to see the crab explode into black dust, and she let out an inaudible sigh. Good. It was done. The plan, half-baked as it had been, had worked. It would not bring back any that they had lost in the ambush... but at least Tsui and the citizens of Destiny City were safe. She scrambled to her feet whenever the other Senshi shouted for her, and though still somewhat winded, she was able to call back, "Not... your fault. I'm fine, really. But... are you? You attacked from so high..."

Had it been pre-ambushed Tsui that Pasiphae had been worried about, Tsui would have scoffed at the very notion that she might have hurt herself in the attack and would have went to great lengths to walk it off. However, after the ambush and how she was still physically, mentally trying to recover from it, Tsui couldn't bring herself to brag. Not this time. She tried to rise and her legs gave away from beneath her. Another blow to her ego, and Tsui allowed her frustration to be seen with a half angered, half pained spat. "I'll walk again, I'm sure... for now, I'd rather just sit here in the enemy's remains for a little longer." She looked to the Senshi and even after all that she's been through, she still found herself adoring her attire, and she fought down her sense of envy so that it wouldn't sound like she was angry at her. "Nice to see you made it out in one piece, though. I didn't worry you too much, did I?" Quicksilver the Archangel

The Shame Senshi winced as she began to walk towards the Tiger Senshi, her back injury aching slightly. Really nothing worse than a bad brush burn, but how was she going to explain it to her parents if they saw it? She'd have to be extra careful, especially since she had already had to explain away the two large bruises General Benitoite had left her with. Her parents were much more vigilant now than they had been when she first started out as a Senshi... which would normally be a good thing except that as much as she hated to lie to them, she hated actively thinking up lies more. Unspoken lies were much, much easier. When she made it over to her, Pasiphae offered Tsui a hand, and her nervous smile, although friendly, did nothing to hide the seriousness of her concern, "I'll help you get closer to home, at least? Or... or to a doctor, if you need it? I don't think anybody should be out on the streets alone right now... and since it's the middle of the day, we may get the police called on us again." She wasn't expecting, or forcing, the other girl to reveal her civilian identity. Pasiphae still took Chaonis's warning about hiding her true self very seriously, although she had revealed her identity to many, it seemed. If Tsui wanted to do so, she would power done; if not, then the two fuku clad girls would walk each other home. Either way, she was not going to abandon another Senshi and her expectant, waiting hand proved it.

Tsui had been so distraught from her fight with the crab-like youma and events prior to today that she simply did not think about the time of day in which she had transformed, and her cheeks lit up with embarrassment as she did nothing to hide her surprise. "I... didn't even notice the time of day..." Without ever looking around or even thinking about her actions, Sailor Tsui powered down, revealing her civilian identity but still finding it impossible to stand up on her own. As the last of her fuku had disappeared, she took that hand, figuring that where Tsui would have been too prideful to accept the help, Gwendolyn Caspian wouldn't have thought twice. When she touched Pasiphae's hand, however, it dawned at her as to what she just did and she looked around frantically. "Ah... please tell me that you're the ONLY one that saw that, right?" She didn't SEE anyone else around, but that was no excuse. Gwen kept most of her embarrassment to herself at least, berating herself mentally as she pulled herself back up to her feet and standing steady once more. 'Gwen, you're an idiot... you were an idiot before the meeting, during it, and you're just as big as an idiot now!'Quicksilver the Archangel

Pasiphae could not hide a half-wince as the other Senshi returned to normal without any prompting, worried (as Tsui was) about whether someone else had seen. She was half-shielding the other girl from view and, thankfully, they were not in a part of the city that was especially busy during this time of day between lunch and rush hour. For her, the anxiety was not only in whether or not they had been seen, but also in the formation of this relationship. Pasiphae had been extremely lucky thus far in her allies, but it would only take one chance for her to screw up. Then what good would she be to anyone--if, indeed, she was of any good now? In some way, however, the revelation was a relief. If Tsui was willing to entrust her with her real face, then Pasiphae would do the same. For her, and for many Senshi she assumed, it was a matter of trust, a sign of a willingness to work together both in uniform and outside of it. She pulled the girl into a side street, the same one she had used for henshining earlier and powered down. The lace, ribbon, and other fine detail faded away to reveal a girl, just a normal girl, in a floral sundress. Penelope Seneca released her ally's hand and blushed, planning her words in her mind so that they wouldn't fumble out of her mouth, "Um... I don't think anybody saw it, but you can always duck into a side street, like I just did, or behind a building or... a rock, or something to disguise the magic. Are you alright now?"

"Yeah, I'm alright, just... feeling incredibly stupid as it's something I've never done before..." Gwen said with an angered spat, but none of it was directed at her. She was relieved to see that no one had spotted her, as well as Pasiphae powering down as well, though more discreetly than she had done. It was such an amateur mistake and Gwen wasn't going to allow herself to get over it. "I've been doing this for a couple of months now and you'd think I'd learn... I'll never get my stripes at this rate." It was a stupid thing to be bothered with, as Gwen hadn't thought about the topic for awhile now. But it was hard to ignore once it was triggered in her mind. Now that she knew what ranks were, she wondered why she hadn't achieved Super status yet, like Pasiphae had, or if she'll ever reach Eternal and stand toe-to-toe with Kallichore and Ganymede. 'Likely not, if I keep making stupid mistakes! No more after this!'She was able to stand on her own now, and she made quite a show of it with the way she dusted herself off. Little bit by little, more of the 'old' Gwen was showing through, but it was a facade. A mask to hide her troubles from someone who likely had problems of their own. "But really, I'm fine now, thanks to you. That's twice you helped me out... meaning that's twice I now owe you." Gwen thought about it for a moment, before extending her hand, this time in introduction. "My name is Gwendolyn Caspian, but you can call me Gwen." Quicksilver the Archangel

Yes, one would think that someone who had been doing this sort of thing for months would be above such mistakes. Penelope, however, knew all too well what it felt like to make mistakes. She had made many in her time as a Senshi--powering up in front of Chaonis, getting Harper involved in this war, letting Remarque tempt her into believing he meant well, and perhaps the largest of all, her hiatus between the large battle in the Surrounding and the more recent battle. Yes, she knew what it was like to make mistakes, and she was somewhat tolerant of them. Tsui's mistakes--Gwen, she corrected herself as the other girl made introductions--were of the honest sort. She was headstrong and brash as much as Penelope was conservative and quiet. All she had to offer her was the truth, "You get better at it, or most people do. I'm still not a really good fighter, even after all this time. You're already a better fighter than me!" At the idea of owing her, however, she openly balked, waving her hands as though to disappate what her all was saying, "Oh no, you don't owe me at all! We're... we're all on the same side and need to support each other. Please, don't trouble yourself." Which lead her to realize she hadn't taken the hand extended for her and she did so now, half-flushing at her own lack of manners as she shook it, "Penelope Seneca. It's nice to meet you... um, again, Gwen."
