Since their return from the island, the mermaid had taken to texting as a form of talking. It was harder, required time and patience from her friends as her voice had constantly failed her every time she wanted to talk.
Since coming back as well, she had never left Roch, clinging to him in fear and mistrust of herself and others. He was her rock right now, suffering through her depression...She was trying hard to brighten up...but it was hard with the thought of something inside her that allowed hunters to see through her...
As it was, Roch had his own things to do and a life to lead as well. Her hob was busy doing battle of the bands, finishing his project...and she couldn't cling to him forever.
But she did still want the comfort of another person. Someone she considered close to her. She sighed silently as she fidgeted outside of Danny's dorm, her hand brought up to tap gently on the door. She hoped the demon was okay for a mermaid to snuggle with?

Danny, on the other hand, had avoided Amphi entirely. Not on purpose, she just couldn't seem to find the mermaid. She'd even ventured and visited the disgusting perfectly acceptable dorm, and nothing.
For now though, she was asleep. It'd been a long day, and she wanted some shut eye.
If Amphi knew anything about Danny though, she'd know that the door was always unlocked.

The door yielded to Amphi's quiet intrusion, her head peering around. Unlike her dorm, Dannys didn't sport a large aquarium, nor water of any sort. It was a little hotter then a volcano vein under the sea but...nothing the mermaid couldn't handle.
She furthered herself in, ducking around rampant minipets and almost avoided tripping and being buried in piles of boxes to a bed that sported said resident she was looking for.
However she couldn't rouse the ghouls to wake with no voice and instead merely slipped into her bed, turning her back so that it faintly touches Danny and curled into a little ball. She was asleep not even a minute later.Chimarii phone tag for you too...whut whut.

Danny didn't move. She was a heavy sleeper- no probably the heaviest of sleepers. In fact, the only thing she was was turn over at some point in the middle of the night and wrap an arm and a leg around Amphi, probably imagining it was a tanner, taller reaper.
By the time she woke up, she blinked lazily and then realized not all was right in the world. She was holding someone who was very not reaper-y and very not boilish.
On the plus side, she was much softer.
Danny stretched out a little, still keeping an arm around Amphi, but moving her legs off the poor ghoul she was probably crushing. At least Amphi didn't have to worry about Danny drooling in her sleep. She stayed like that for a while just because she had to wake up properly. After a while, she said, "Morning Amphi!" All smiles and giggles, even at this hour. Even more so now that her mermaid was back.

Amphi too had fallen asleep like a rock. She was tired and exhausted everyday since she had returned and didn't mind the warm heat of the fire demon who had suddenly moved over and wrapped herself around her.
In fact, Amphi moved in closer, gave a happy sigh and continued to sleep. It was all well and good until she heard a soft murmur of her friends and then blinked her eyes open...slowly.
She rubbed them, gesturing for five more minutes and stretched. She looked over shyly at the ghoul and then reached for her phone, her only way to communicate right now and tapped a text message to Danny.
The face that followed the text was O v O.Chimarii Text to Danny: Good morning Danny.

Danny frowned at the phone, not really understanding its purpose. In fact, Danny wasn't even aware that Amphi was mute. She just thought the ghoul had been quiet on the way home because of exhaustion. The fact that Amphi might be injured was just ... crazy.
"Huh ... uhhhh just a second!" Danny said, letting ghoul of the ghoul and rolling over so she was splayed all over the bed. One long, tanned arm reached across the bed and grabbed the eyephone that had been sitting there. Danny was never very organized, so things just ended up all over the place.
She rubbed her eyes and tapped out a message. It was hard to text so soon after waking up!

Amphi dodged the splayed out Danny, moving around arms and legs with a silent laugh before blinking. The text being sent. Tapping another one off to the ghoul, she flopped back on the bed as well, splaying herself so that her hand spread in Danny's face.Quote: Text to Danny: Hi! Are we not suppose to text?

Danny tapped a message back. It was rather impressive considering she was doing it with a hand in her face. Quote: hi! no its fine i juz dont get y we arnt talking??

Amphi squealed silent, her body shaking with laughter as she pulled her hand back...and then wiped it all over Danny's arms, making a 'BLEH' face.
She read the message and then frowned. Did Danny not know that she didn't have her voice?....

Danny propped an arm up on her pillow and looked at the mermaid skeptically. "Nuh uh. You could talk before! I know 'cause I heard it," she protested proudly. Clearly Amphi was just mistaken.
She put a hand on her chin and said, "Well we'll just have to get it back! Or I could just talk for you ..."

"They put something inside you?" Danny gasped worriedly. Poor Amphi! Hopefully it wasn't like a human scareling or something. That would be terrifying. Maybe Danny had just watched one too many scary movies. "I'll get it out, okay!"
She'd played operation a few times. It totally counted.
Danny adjusted until she was laying with her head on Amphi's, with the mermaid resting on her chest. "Okay okay, try thinking something really hard and ... and I'll say it for you! Yeah!"
This could only end well.

Amphi nestled in the fire demons arms and then thought really hard.
"Do you want to go eat something Danny?"
Was her thought, her eyes narrowed as she WILLED THE THOUGHT TO THE FIRE DEMON.

"You ... want ... HUGS OKAY," Danny said, divebombing the ghoul and squeezing the crap out of her.
Danny was not psychic.
She wiggled out of the hug and said, "So? How'd I do? Did I get it? I did right?"

Amphi was all excited, waiting for the ghoul to repeat what she said.
Instead she got divebombed and squeezed, hugs being shouted left and right.
Huh? Maybe she had thought about hugs...Maybe she didn't realize that she was thinking about hugs at all.
And Danny picked that up.
Oh jack, Danny had read her mind and done something even Amphi didn't know she was thinking about.
She clapped her hands fervently and nodded, assuring Danny that she had been in fact right.
