The trip to Nurse cricket didn't really help much but it was good to know that all Mitsu needed was rest. After the trip to her office, he made another stop at his room to gather a few of his things. And from there.. he finally was on his way towards the wolf's dorm room. He carried her the entire way. Shun was tired as well, and his injury was starting to act back up, but he wasn't going to make her walk. She was in a far worse state than he was.

Some of the things she was saying scared him to be honest. But it wasn't until he had reached the halls of the monster building that he actually said something regarding it. Her tone wasn't as it used to be. She spoke as if talking to a stranger rather than... him.

"I.. have to ask you this, Mitsu..." he murmured while his pace slowed down. A part of him already knew the answer but.. he needed confirmation. It was also that part that was afraid to hear it, "Do... do you remember who I am? Or... who I am to you..?"

He could feel his heart pounding a little more heavily as he anticipated the answer.

She had gotten his name right, but... the way she said it signified that she wasn't entirely certain. And though he was expecting it, there was no way he could really brace himself for her next answer. Shun stopped walking and closed his eye as the answer practically sank a dagger right into his chest. Mitsu seemed to be sad for it but that didn't dull the pain.

"I... I see.." he said in a voice that was barely a whisper in itself. Taking in a deep breath, he forced himself forward. He needed to get to her room. But, he felt like a lot of his strength had just drained from him in a moment.

Before her mutterings and confusion was just attested to her being exhausted but... now it seemed to be much more than just that. She shouldn't have forgotten that much. Even then, it had been several hours.. something should have come back to her by now if that had simply been the case. The Reaper was silent from there as he moved through the halls, focusing on pushing aside the new anguish he felt.

Once they were at the door, Shun fumbled a bit to get it open. It was a little difficult to do while holding her but he managed. Turning the knob, he paused once again as she asked him who he was.

"I'm your fiance.." he said, still sounding rather quiet. He pushed the door opened and stared down at her. Most people wouldn't have noticed the shift in his features but there a sense of sorrow within him as he peered into her eyes. She.. only felt comfortable around him. Did that mean she no longer loved him?

Struggling with this thought, he pressed on once more, only stopping to gently put her down onto her bed.

"This.. this is your room," he explained, though his voice sounded a little distant now. The pain of loss had been bad before but right now was something different. But... she still needed him. Or at least needed.. someone. He was going to need to bear the pain if he was to help her recover.

"Are you.. hungry.. thirsty..?" the reaper asked while looking to her collar. He needed to find a way to remove that as well... There were many things that needed to be done. Shun had worked through pain before.. granted that was all physical. There was a twisted bit of amusement in him that thought how if this had been a year ago, he would have thought he was ill or that he was injured somehow due to this feeling he now had. It wasn't even really the beginning of it. He knew that much now.

Shun just nodded silently at Mitsu, feeling another sting of pain at her outburst. She really didn't know anymore. For a moment, he stepped away so he could remove his coat and set it onto the couch. He was going to need to see to his own injuries soon but right now he wasn't quite feeling up to that.

"No. Don't.. apologize.."

Whatever had caused her memory to go like this, it likely wasn't her fault. Even if he was, he did not want to even deal with the thought of her possibly having wanted to forget him. Then again, there was a small part of him that wondered if perhaps this was for the better. This.. could mean she may find someone more capable than he. Someone who was actually a good person too for that matter.

Feeling his legs become shaky from this internal strife, he went ahead and sat at the edge of her bed, staring towards the ground as he was starting to get lost in his thoughts. However, a question tossed at him snapped him from them.

"I don't smile often in general," he said quietly while turning around to see the picture she was looking at specifically. His gaze soon shifted up to her eyes, peering into them as if trying to find his loved one deep within somewhere. Was she lost forever? This must have been how Malodore felt..

"Xiu. She's... a good friend. In a way she's like a younger sister to me," the Reaper explained softly while looking over the picture. His gaze didn't linger on it for long as he found himself looking back at the lycan.

"For about a week.." he uttered. It felt longer than that, however. Far longer. When Mitsu shifted closer to him, he couldn't help but bring a hand up to gently caress the side of her face as he stared into her eyes. Concern soon filled his one good eye as he asked, "What have they done to you..?"

It must have been horrible.. for her to come back in this state mentally.

Shun's eye had a touch of pain in it as he heard her speak. When she pulled back, his hand lingered in the air for a little longer before it fell back to the bed. It hurt to see her like this. To see her so upset. As she grabbed her own head, he moved closer and wrapped his arms around her in an attempt to comfort her.

"Shh... You're safe now. The ones who did this to you will pay.. I will make sure of it," he whispered. Anger was surging in him again as he thought about it. Those bastards... She might not remember it, but it didn't matter. They still had hurt her and caused her to be in this state.

"And I swear we'll find a way to get this collar off of you... We'll sort this out... M-maybe you just need some rest. For your memories."

Pausing, he let out a breath and pulled himself back, glancing down.

"I'm sorry this happened to you... I.. I should have been stronger.."

"I was there when you were taken though.." he whispered. Grimacing at the memory of just seeing her vanish with Candace in the Haunted House, he shook his head to himself before taking in a deep breath. He soon paused as he felt her warm hand at the side of his face. Opening his eye again, he leaned into her touch. He knew it wasn't quite the same as when she was before... but there was a flicker of familiarity there.

For him at least.

"I will do everything I can for you... You.. are the brightest light in my life... I can't..not leave you be," he whispered while bringing his hands up to take hers gently.

"Of course I will. Unless you don't want me.. I don't plan on leaving your side much at all while you're recovering.." Shun said quietly. While Mitsu got herself ready, he gently tucked her in.

"I will always be here for you.." he added before leaning over as if he was going to give her a kiss. However, he stopped himself and only ended up hovering over her. Right... As she was.. she may not appreciate something like that. Closing his eye momentarily, he pulled back and just placed his hand to the side of her face once more.

"Go get some rest.."
