Season 3, chapter 26, part 1
in which Medea's army invade the Deus Ex Society, seeking Excalibur, a legendary key to the secret dimension of Ancient, whose existence is as symbolic, as absolute.

- What are you doing here?!... Why aren't you preparing?...

The voice of SWORD №9 was most unpleasant. Eisheth was one of the horsemen in Lady Medea's army, though her spiritual poweAnima r Fear was far from Protectors level, so she had to follow their orders, sometimes quite stupid.

- What exactly do you want me to do? How shall I be preparing? They were standing near the hidden lake, somewhere underneath the Amityville palace. Hellma, the old queen of Halloween used it as her royal court, before having been convinced by Lady Medea to become one of the SWORD members under the name №2.

- No idea! It's Lady Medea's order, and you better figure it out yourself, if you aren't completely dumb! We shall destroy those venator rats.

- But doesn't she have the SWORD, Protectors, the squad of most powerful horsemen, I thought they will be attacking, and the rest of us should just be supporting them...

- It is true. But you know, Lady Medea regrets she only has four Headmaster level warriors, so you, horsemen junks, would be granted a role. Perhaps, you can do some good coming in mass. You shall be ready to part with you miserable lives for Lady Medea, since she was the one who made you proud Horsemen, otherwise you would still be rummaging through the deserts of Halloween world as a mindless and ugly Student.

Eisheth sighed. Students are the lowest class of creatures in the world of Halloween, they eat each other, until they gather enough Fear to evolve into Professors, who are more powerful, but still mindless. And only a student with a really strong identity can one day become a Headmaster (awkwardly, in Halloween realm everything was named in English language) devouring hundreds of other students and professors. It is said Headmaster’s fighting capabilities are even higher than Deus Ex Society legatus’s.

“REVENGE”. Suddenly their conversation was interrupted by Lady Medea’s voice. “The greatest power of course, for us, for our path, is…”
Medea was holding a Chalice, an artefact she created from the hundreds of venator’s Fear. Medea, a former Deus Ex legatus, mastered all the possible arts of venators, and desired to move further, that’s why she was secretly working on creating a Chalice, an artefact of tremendous power invented by genius scientist – and another former Deus Ex legatus, Doctorus H, who was exiled long ago, thanks to Medea’s intrigues. After years of plotting Medea, and her faithful assistants (and yet other former Legatuss), Alke and Ylaria, finally broke with the Deus Ex society, and escaped into the realm of Halloween, creating a race of Horsemen: a cross-breed between Students and Venators possessing both of their powers.

“...Immunity!”

Eisheth took a chalice from another horseman’s hand, and made a sip. Now an were ready to attack. Medea wanted to get into the dimension of the Ancient, the legendary being, the centre of the Fear world, to kill him and took his place. The only key to got there was Excalibur, which was hidden somewhere in the Deus Ex society, and the person who knew the secret was General Imperator Caelius Marcus. First, Medea planned to attack the New York city somewhere in a humans world; absorbing the Fear power of its inhabitants would allow her to create another Excalibur, but venators, led by Caelius and his ruthless six division legatuss defended the city, and destroyed Medea’s Four Islands palace. Eisheth shivered remembering their battle over Ney York city, she still could not figure out who was more scary: noble and silent Aria, or berserk warrior Allan. Eisheth was scared by venators: she held a memory from long ago, when she just became an ordinary Student, and was nearly destroyed by a venator when attacking her first human. Venators were supposed to help souls pass to the world of Deus Ex society, and those unlucky who missed their chance and became Students needed humans with a good Fear power to feed themselves, and therefore became a constant prey for venators who were fond of defending humans.

And now… there were going for a revenge: they were attacking Deus Ex headquarters.

“Enough”, Medea’s tone was curt. Two golden snakes emerged from the depths of the lake, curling and twisting, they formed a gate, a Portal, the centre gleaming a deep black.
“We move now, or shall lose our moment, our path, forever”. She stepped through, the gate waiting, open, behind her. Eisheth sighed again. What good can come from such a lowly horseman as herself? How would she be able to be useful to Lady Medea?
