its because they want the population to remain stupid which alcohol helps accomplish and because weed makes people think and god forbid we as people think for ourselves. They can't control how people behave if they think for themselves which is why weed is consider more dangerous than alcohol, cocaine and heroine according to the government.
Also keep in mind this is the same government that approves painkillers, antidepressants, amphetamines, and anti anxiety drugs.
Painkillers are opiods which is basically lab made opiates like heroine,
they give little kids amphetamines ie Ritalin, adderal, vyvance which is the same class as methamphetmines and has similar effects
anti anxiety pills like xanax, dizapam, clonphan which the withdrawls can literally kill you because your body goes into shock. (Even heroine, cocaine and meth withdrawls can't make you die.)
and anti depressants alter the way you think and feel on a long term scale.

It's amazing, isn't it? The way doctors prescribe these crap drugs that do nothing but further ******** up the mind, body and spirit, instead of getting down to the bottom of the problem. Maybe the children's activities & nutrition (or lack thereof) have something to do with their "A.D.D." Maybe chemically altering drugs aren't the cure, maybe spending time outdoors, and/or with productive projects & creative play are a better solution instead of allowing the child to continue their routine of television, video games & junk food binging. When an adult's career is the cause for depression or extreme anxiety, perhaps Zoloft isn't the answer. Perhaps said adult should find a more suitable career.
Say a 17 year old girl is considering suicide. She brings this up to her health care professional and what does he do? Prescribe a magic pill that will "make it all better" (or should I say prohibit her from feeling her own emotions, leaving her feeling numb and empty). Never mind that she is in an emotionally abusive relationship, her mother was recently diagnosed with cancer, or her brother ran away from home.
(Maybe I didn't use the best examples, but I'm sure you see what I'm saying?)
