Perhaps the problem with being left alone after not just a near death experience but having blood on your hands as well from a more accidental form of death. Is that no matter how hard one tries, it's impossible to sit still and get some rest, even past the brink exhaustion it doesn't relieve much guilt.
At least for Azzo that's what he was beginning to find out, he sat on the edge of his bed. Long after Zirconia had left but still before Polaris had turned back up, a few hours into his stamp a letter and send it motions. He found himself slowly becoming agitated, restless and well paranoid. Never mind that Zirc had told him that Ares couldn't find him, as he'd never shown the Chaotic Queen his room, Azzo was still worried.
As the saying goes idle hands are the devil's playground, Azzo had no intentions on continuing to sit there and do nothing. Wobbly as he was from fatigue and staggering drunk from lack of sleep he began to gather his puppets, they were all being relocated. No longer able to stand the judgmental eyes on him, Azzo began to move them to the attic. He had more important things to work on anyways. Recently he'd seen something a lot more interesting, perhaps a lot more intricate in details as well. He had been surfing the web for new ideas when he found them. They were puppets that were life sized, horses to be precise. There were a lot of working and moving parts to them and perhaps metals and other such things. However, Azzo was interested in attempting to build his own; he knew they weren't something you could just buy.
First though, he needed all the other puppets out his way. Assuring them that he'd still use them, they just needed a new home. When he was finally done Azzo sighed and sat back down on the edge of his bed. Soulless glass eyes were no longer hanging there staring at him, as he scratched the back of his neck and yawned looking around. "Gramps would've said I've gone crazy by now."
He muttered softly to himself as he sat there watching the sky out his window. He felt as it if should rain. A downpour would be more than appropriate he thought to himself. Finally taking note of more scratching and whining from down stairs. Merlin knew he was home; he just hadn't dragged himself downstairs to get the dog.
Eventually, Azzo staggered down the stairs, bringing letters with him. Finding it a task not to fall on his face while moving and trying not to drop the letters, "Ugh, I'm staying on the couch." He muttered as he opened the door to the let the dog in.
Though Merlin was paid no mind as the door shut again and Azzo found himself on his couch sitting there with the TV box in one hand and flipping through the channels with the other. "There's gotta be something on..." He stopped finally when he happened across a cartoon he remembered from his younger days. "... Ah... well at least it's not that violent." He muttered placing the box back on the coffee table and drifting off, sitting and waiting for Polaris to show up. There was a sigh as Merlin nudged his hand looking sad.
"No Merlin." Azzo mumbled.
