There was a draw back to patrolling with a chibi senshi.
They had a much earlier bedtime than a regular senshi!
Iris had been good and patrolled with the youngest member of her team. However, when it was time for her to go home, the eternal senshi would only escort the child so close to her home.
There was a certain amount of danger with actually dropping the child off at her home while still reeking of a decent amount of energy. Nobody needed to bring a youma home to attack their family.
With a half wave to the orange haired child as she went on her way, the yellow suited senshi remained in place for a bit before eventually commenting loud enough for anybody nearby to hear "So... how long ya gonna stalk me?"
Eternal Iris had long noticed that some senshi had been following them that evening just by feeling their aura. However, she had kept quiet about it with the chibi senshi about. If Hygiea couldn't sense the senshi and the senshi wasn't causing any problems, then why bother?

To be fair she hadn't really been 'stalking' or at least.. intended it in a stalking matter. Polaris had been patrolling when she'd felt energy nearby, and pulled out her phone, detecting the sources of two names she'd scanned back in the past on the GPS. Had it not been for Niflhel's information and prodding, she might disregarded the names obviously traveling together and therefore likely not in danger. But it was the stronger name that caught her attention.
Iris That was the princess Niflhel had mentioned wasn't it? The one who had brought about that healing power after she had unceremoniously slung everyone around like pinballs?
It was enough to have her hunt down the two energy sources, confirming by sight that it was indeed the senshi she was looking for.
The 'stalking' really had come about more as Polaris wavered on what she should do. Was it really polite of her to just bust in when the two were obviously doing something and talking? She didn't want to steal away the older senshi's attention.. especially if they were doing something more important then a simple patrol.
But at the same time....
Fretting with her choices, she had hung back as long as it seemed she'd been unnoticed.
None of that really made any difference, or made her any less embarrassed however when Iris finally called out to her.
"Sorry" She piped up immediately in response, stepping out of the shadows, with her hands held up in that classic I'm not armed fashion. "I... didn't really want to interupt." The words were offered pretty lamely, her expression apologetic. Ick... maybe she should have just waited for another time. This wasn't exactly the way she wanted to start what might well have been a very awkward conversation already.

The eternal senshi turned nice and easily towards the apology as it was offered in such an overly polite manner. Eventually the source of such manners came into view, and the blonde's already looming grin seemed to spread out a bit further.
"Ah, if it ain't Princess Snowball 'erself!" she greeted in plain jest. "I was beginnin' t'wonder when ya were gonna come find me." She didn't state why she suspected Polaris would be seeking her, but her lack of surprise in the other eternal senshi's presence was quite evident from how lax her posture seemed.
Hoisting a hand to her hip, she asked quite simply "So... ya wanna talk words at me?"

The other senshi was a slightly familiar face, one Polaris had seen time and time again in passing though their paths had hardly ever crossed long enough for a real conversation. The other girl had an air about her that was slightly intimidating, taller, gruff, and with a.. way with words that wasn't quite what Aurora was used to. She was grinning and relaxed though and the words, as mangled as they might be, seemed pleasant enough in context, so the senshi of magnetism went with it.
"That's a new one." She mused good naturedly, having gained a small slew of nicknames in her days. Disney Princess, Girl Magneto, and now Princess Snowball. There were problem other names people called her that she didn't know about too, but those three that she knew of she didn't mind.
Talk words. It was a funny way to say it, but it was the truth. Her whole reason of tracking down and stalking after the other senshi was to talk to her. But now that she was... here.. what did she even WANT to say?
"Well.. unless I've been incorrectly informed." Niflhel had said Princess Iris, she was pretty sure about that. "I'm believe we have something in common."
"And if that's the case, then I owe you a Thank you for what you did back there. If it wasn't for that power of yours I think we would have been even worse off then we were...."

"Um... yeah... we're not doin' this 'ere..." The blonde used one finger to gesture in a wide circle to their surroundings. She then used her other hand to grab hold onto Polaris' wrist. The hand which had gestured about them had a cell phone magically appear within its grasp.
As she had done many a time, the senshi closed her eyes and began to focus on the familiar sound of her old home. These days it was truly easier to focus on the asteroid, which probably had to do with the affliction that Polaris had just been hinting at. When she had managed to connect with her world, she hit the button on her phone, and the two of them vanished from Earth.
And reappeared in the dark sanded dessert of her asteroid. Where as it had been evening on Earth, the sun was shining intensely down. There wasn't even a cloud in the sky. Aside from the ruins of various wooden carts scattered about them, there wasn't a sign of civilization. No buildings, no castles, just sand.
"Sorry fer th'sudden field trip... but as I said... not doin' this sh*t on Earth... I don't think we'll be 'ere long enough fer ya t'get a sunburn though... though it ain't like it'd be nearly as obvious on you as it is on me..." Polaris already had pretty dark skin, where as Iris was quite a bit lighter in skin tone.
Releasing the other senshi, the native backed up a few steps before her fuku seemed to glow and grow longer. The hair framing her face seemed to also follow the same pattern, growing out as well. Her senshi tiara faded to reveal her symbol glowing of multiple hues, and finally a pair of wings seemed to extend from her shoulders, stretching out before she folded them back again.
"I must also thank you, Polaris. If it were not for your power, I would not have been able to use my power. Somebody had decided to try throwing some more of those smoke bombs at me as I was about to use my power, but I got pushed out of the way by that strange force of yours..."
It seemed as if Iris did know how to enunciate her words.

The circular motion and the sudden latching onto her wrist surprised Polaris, and when she felt the familiar sensation of movement that didn't help. Was she.. was she being kidnapped!?! If she were the less polite (okay.. or maybe just less surprised/dumbfounded) the eternal senshi might have attempted to snatch her own wrist back and stumble backwards. "What are you d..?"
Her free hand lifted immediately to try and block out the sudden brightness, a terrible surprise considering the dark night they'd just left behind. She was squinting against the sunshine, her feet shifting on sand now instead of the asphalt they'd be on. Her expression was not one akin with pleasure or even acceptance for a long while. Even after she deciphered the apology, the sour look continued.
Where in the world was she? Iris? As her eyes finally adjusted she gave a quick glance to their surroundings. It seemed so terribly foreign, unlike anything she'd every seen on Earth or in the universe. It was quite certainly almost completely opposite to the constantly snowing star Polaris. The heat radiated. The other senshi said something about a sunburn? Ughh.
Iris was transforming, and Polaris suddenly found herself on edge again. Sure Iris had seem alright enough on earth.. but suddenly being spacenapped, and now feeling Iris' power spike far up above her own.. It made her nervous, finally taking those couple of steps back, hands balling into cautionary fists at her side.
She didn't really think she could be any more surprised, but that the only way to explain the feelings that hit her when Princess Iris began to speak, her speech pattern noticebly and jarringly different.
She was thanking her? The words seemed just as foreign as the landscape as she tried to mesh them against the impression she'd been forming of the other senshi the moments before.
"I'm glad it helped someone.." The words were responded lamely, as Polaris attempted to wrap her brain around what exactly was going on. Her hands clutched her arms, as if she were somehow cold, which was pretty impossible.

"It helped many, whether or not they will admit it is another issue altogether."
It seemed that Polaris had not taken hint from Iris' own transformation that the visitor could transform as well. Practically speaking, the fuku that Polaris wore at the moment was more suited to breathing in the dry heat, but it wasn't as likely to protect one from the sun.
The blonde was quite certain the darker skinned girl had some questions as to the reason why she had been brought out into a space desert, so she offered an explanation. "I wanted to speak to you as equals...uninterupted, and unhindered... I promise not to complain like the folks in that meeting..."
The meeting was something that couldn't be avoided by any means, since it led to the ambush by the Negaverse and the DMC. It had seemed at every point, senshi and knight alike had decided it was just better to disrespect the one who had organized the whole thing. Even if the Negaverse and DMC had not arrived, the meeting itself probably should have been taken out back and shot thanks to the many obstanate participants.
The desert princess turned a bit, glancing across the relatively unremarkable landscape. "It took quite a bit of initiative to organize that meeting... I don't think I could have ever done something like that..." Her tone was absolutely genuine, somewhat filled with awe.

The reassurance helped. Whether it was simply to sooth her frazzled nerves or not it was hard to deny that words of praise of her attack affected the often proud senshi in a positive way. Her defensive stance continued for a moment, but slowly it began to fade.
"It was frusterating... But I suppose if any new senshi or knights were filled in then it was a partial success." She paused immediately upon the last word, a visable cringe suggesting that that was not the word she meant in regards to a meeting that had ended in the death of so many. "Well I mean.. at least some good came out of something so horrible."
They HAD been equals though on earth. Two eternal senshi. She had had no intention to go princess in the streets of Destiny City for no good reason. So that couldn't have been Iris' entire problem with it, could it?
Uninterupted though? She supposed that was a possibility.
The second hint, subtle though it was was enough to finally get through Polaris' head, and after a moment she shifted between forms, a bright spark of light leaving behind Princess Polaris. The dress was thin and airy, and strangely enough cooler despite the extra fabric, having lost her thick sturdy boots and long gloves.
"You... don't want them to know.. do you?" She hazarded after a moment, her voice thoughtful but curious. "Well.. didn't. It's a little late for don't anymore." If that was the case Polaris was sorry that she hadn't done enough to keep the other Princess from having to reveal herself. But at the same time.. why? Why wouldn't she want people to know?

The obvious power spike was enough to regain Iris' full attention, the yellow adorned figure turning back to face Polaris. Her wings seemed to ruffle slightly at the very last comment, which made it obvious there was some truth to it.
"I have seen how willing folks are to put a Princess on a pedestal. Or to undermine them simply because of their rank. I am not all that thrilled when it comes to either aspect. I would rather be known as a senshi than as a princess..."
There was a pause as she bit the edge of her lip, as if debating on how to phrase the next part. However, when she felt she had a reasonable way to phrase things, she continued on. "...My parents... the ones who lived on this asteroid years ago... firmly believed that being a senshi was a far greater title than being born into royalty. 'A Princess is just a person.' A person just has to be born to a king or queen... or marry into the title. A senshi... that is destiny."
Using her hands, she lifted the edges of her dress and moved over the sand a bit in a small circular motion. "Either way... many of them know now... so I will have to deal with whatever comes of it... hopefully my team will back me up..."

"It's unfortunately true..." She responded thoughtfully, her wings making a whisper of a rustle before settling into a more comfortable position closed low on her back. "There are people that seem entirely bent on bucking authority. And even the other end of the spectrum... those that follow unquestioningly. Well that's as much of a recipe for trouble if things go awry." Princess Ares anyone. Polaris didn't know from experience, but was it possible that Ares wouldn't have corrupted if she'd had someone there to tell her she was going down the wrong path?
As Iris spoke of her past parents, the senshi of magnetism listened, though whether she agreed entirely with the moral was another story.
Polaris had always been the proud sort, or at least, in this lifetime Aurora was proud perhaps to a fault. She had been proud of her useful attack as a young senshi and was happy to show it off. Just as she was proud of her duty and perceived 'duty' as dealer of justice. It was why she'd so happily showed off her eternal wings when she'd got them, and probably why she'd doned her Princess form on more then a dozen times, a handful of them unnecessary, simply to gush. Being a princess was an elusive thing, wasn't it? If so few of them had emerged in the figurative ocean of senshi... it had to have something to do with worth, didn't it? That they'd earned it? Perhaps it was different though... the mere normal title of princess, the kind that was dealt with thousands of years ago. But now.. one couldn't become a princess without being a good senshi right? It was the assumption she'd told herself but.. who really knew.
In the end she finally nodded, slowly and thoughtfully. "Being judged for your merits and actions would be the ideal. But that's harder said then done without us carrying around signs of our battles or triumphs. While I'd personally like to think that those who have risen to the role of a Princess had the moral character and had done the work behind it to earn it, I guess you never really know..."
"I wish there was a way to quall and prove ourselves to the naysayers, but considering the passion behind their distaste, by many of which I've never met and who know nothing about me, I think it is easier said then done. I'm not sure whether or not it's even worth our time and energy." It could potentially take time from other important things like patrolling.. but how deep were the seeds of discontent? What is possible those naysayers could become so jaded that their hearts darkened and passed to the other side?

The native of this world nodded her head, letting the foreign princess know that all her words had been heard and considered. "I would enjoy being able to prove myself, but a time comes for everything. A time to be tested, so to speak. I believe that if we continue on strongly as senshi, some of the naysayers will come to respect us as senshi, and then follow suit with these forms. Some will always be sheep, following with blind faith. Some will always be obstinate, refusing to believe the truth even if it is laid out in front of them."
She paused for a moment, leaning down to scoop up a small handful of the dark sand before standing herself up again. Her gold eyes looked over the grains, as if she was considering something before closing her hand and bringing it back to her side. Whatever had passed her mind was not mentioned.
"I find respect is to be earned, and you have earned my respect. However... as I mentioned earlier, there are tests out there to test our resolve. The meeting.... was a test if I were to guess it."
She did not mention which part of the meeting had been the test, but it had been truly obvious which part. The portion in which the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Senshi had invaded and slaughtered many innocents.
The fact Iris had even mentioned the meeting seemed to imply that the blonde had reason for it. Rather than directly mention what was on her mind at first, she asked "...how do you think you did on such a test, Polaris?"
