Mahir saw Taima in shades of grey. Struggling. Pointless. "You are lossst. I can help you," he spoke just above a whisper, not so much an offer as a hint of what would come next. For once his hands did not ache from the infection. They felt right. They would make better tools for such delicate work as fixing the broken. He reached out a hand - one of his own, not one of the fake ones he had engineered as replacements - rotten down to the blackened bones, flesh grey with insanity where it still clung to the wrist and arm. In a quick movement he had made a small incision of a mark on her chest just below her clavicle. A mere preparation. OOC  MAHIR is targeting TAIMA! Taima's eyes narrowed at the Horseman as he spoke. She strained to hear him, but his words made no sense to her. She wasn't lost, she was supposed to be here! Taima watched cautiously as Mahir reached for her, taking in the ruined state of his hands. "What happened to you?" Taima asked with her usual lack of tact, not unkindly, but genuinely curious. At least she had been, until Mahir reached out and cut her. She gasped in surprise, taking a step back, her wings raised defensively behind her. She wasn't curious anymore--now she was just mad. "What the hell?" Taima snapped. "I don't think I need the kind of help you're offering. Go away." OOC TAIMA is targeting MAHIR! The horseman began to babble at her, walking slowly toward her with his rotten hands outstretched in a pleading gesture even as she tried to pull away. "You cannot hear it, can you? All around usss. "She does not understand," he babbled. One of the shadow arms whipped around and slashed one more thin, erratic line into Taima. And then stopped, suddenly. He raised his head to take a deep breath through his nose, catching the scent of something that seemed to be far more interesting to him, fortunately for Taima.
