The first floor is dominated by vast sprawling plains and dense timberlands with occasional hills. There are two towns located on the first floor – Ebona Thistle and Remora Blue. The first town, Ebona Thistle, is the beginner town where all new players first emerge into Eidos and it is the most populated town on the first floor or anywhere in the game at the moment. Ebona Thistle is a large town complete with shops, guild homes, a town square, and even a clock tower. The buildings are constructed of wood and stone, closely resembling a medieval village in its design, but is far larger than any simple village. The other town, Remora Blue, is an even larger town. Constructed of white stone and marble, it takes some of its design concepts from ancient Greece. While its population is less than that of Ebona Thistle, it is where most of the guilds are and where guild members typically hang out. Between the two towns are the plains and the forests where enemy creatures spawn. The creatures near Ebona Thistle are typically low level monsters, while some stronger ones are near Remora Blue. The strongest monsters on the first floor live in the forests that dominate the northern half of the floor. Some rumors state that the first floor boss is located somewhere deep within the forest.
✖ Ebona Thistle [town]
The town's concept is based off the traditional medieval setting seen in many roleplaying games. The core of the town is a large stone building, resembling a cathedral with large stained glass windows and tall towers. A vibrant crystal set into a bronze gyro serves as the town's log-in point. The cathedral itself serves as a general meeting spot for many players and has four stories to explore. Beyond the cathedral is the town's main street, which leads directly to the plaza where the marketplace is set up. Hundreds of guild members set up shops here, selling their old equipment and rare items. The entire plaza is packed with players, who come and go, moving off into the many streets that lead away from the plaza. Further on are the npc stores, which are decorated with banners. The interior is designed with flat stone floors and laid about items. Npc shopkeepers stand behind wooden counters, appearing as elderly men and women in drab rags. In the southern part of the town is the guild hall – a large building with banners and elaborate statues crafted into the stonework. Any guild member can approach the two double doors and teleport to their guild home.
✖ Remora Blue [town]
The town is a scenery of white stone with an ancient Greece design to it, The log-in point is located within a large capital building near the coliseum, which dominates the center section of the town. The capital building is a large building with a single, round room of white stone walls and marble floors. Directly outside is a large area called the garden square – a vast plaza filled with garden-variety plants and fountains. Most players in the town center themselves in the garden square due to the marketplace. To the right is the largest structure in the town – the coliseum. The coliseum is constructed much like the original Greece coliseum and is where pvp matches occur. With the vast size of the coliseum, several matches can be held at once and seating around the arena allow anyone to simply walk in and watch the matches. On the southern side of town is the npc stores and a lower street area called devil's respite, known as a popular hangout spot for high-level players.
✖ Plains [spawn area]
A field of lush green grass that dominates the terrain, halting only at the approach of the forest in the distance. A sea of clear blue sky descends to greet the horizon, spreading a glow across the plains. Everywhere there are monsters with the clang of cold steel ringing in the air as players trade blows with the creatures. Looking out across the plains, there are the distant shapes of large, cut stones that jut out of the ground at angles and further on are the rusted remains of large mechanical structures silhouetted in the light. To the north is a great crevice in the earth that parts the land. The rugged edges of the divide descend into a bottomless abyss over which long wooden bridges are built. They are not bridges of simple construct, but breathtaking constructs of reinforced wooden planks, chain railing, and towering stone pillars supporting each end. So wide are they that a dozen people could walk abreast across them. Beyond the windy depths of the crevice is even more flatlands, broken up by occasional outcroppings of rock and bubbling streams. Near the eastern front of Remora Blue, the fields fall away into the sea, which goes on seemingly without end.

✖ Forests [spawn area]
The timberlands invade where the plains cease, stretching north to engulf the lands beyond the towns. Where the forests begin is but a dense entanglement of old trees and thorns that reach up no more than twenty feet. The forest floor is a mess of roots and dead, fallen leaves. Where light penetrates the forest roof at the timberlands' entrance is clogged further in. As the forest presses north, the trees grow taller, standing as giants to mere mortals. Their limbs reach towards the sky, covered in dying, brown leaves that fall and flutter to the ground in the slightest breeze. The light becomes poor within the depths of the forests and the spaces between the trees becomes wider. At the heart of the forests the trees seem to grip the heavens with gnarled limbs like claws. Their bodies have become dark like ash and their leaves, fallen, leave the canopy bare. In a vast clearing were light and darkness merge, a grandmother tree grows above its children. Its roots branch out in every direction, ripping through the earth and coiling around the surrounding trees. In the base of the grandmother tree is a gaping hole that seems to have been torn into existence where bleached bones sit idle. Black smoke pours from the hole, rotting the earth and vegetation around the tree.
