There was only one thought in Gale's mind as he stepped around to see the horseman, his gun raised into position, his thoughts all converging, mixing with Jinhai's.

Jay shrieked like a bird when the young hunter raised his gun—the sight made her laugh at first, it was bigger than he was for Ares’ sake—and fired a shot. It was only a shot, but oh for the love of Jupiter it really hurt. She stretched out her wings, feathers fluttering to the ground while she pressed a hand to her bleeding side, her scarf beginning to turn red at the edges. The warrior grit her teeth together.
HATEHATEHATEHATE She hated hunters. They had destroyed her home in the blink of her eye, tainted her comrades and friends with their accursed Insanity. This boy shouldn’t have been strong. He should have been weak. Why? WHY? “No,” she stubbornly answered while she brashly took her Arkansas toothpick and flung the weighted blade at him. The dragon reared his head, breathing fire towards the sky before sweeping the ashen colored flames across the land. His home. He would protect it now that he was here. They would protect it. It was back.
The coldness that erupted from Jinhai at the sight of this, however, did not go outwards towards the Insanity corrupted dragon - but instead flowed back into Gale himself, a strangely cool sensation sliding through his veins.
He felt the despair rising and a scream ripped from his throat, raw and angry.

Jay rushed to retrieve her blade, almost completely ignoring the blond hunter. Her priority at the moment was retrieving her dagger. It was her weapon. It was a part of her.
Then there was the scorching heat of ashen flames. She shrieked, covering her head with her arms as some sort of shield. When Jay lifted her head she wasn’t surprised to find the dragon flying overhead. Should she have been relieved? The dragon should have been on her side, but the dragon was not normal. There was something off about it. Something vaguely similar to the patches of grey that covered Senga.
Squinting her eyes, she placed a hand in front of her face as she attempted to figure out what she wanted to do. Her mind was swirling with confusion. Attack the hunter? Attack the dragon? But the dragon was theoretically an ally. Yet the dragon had attacked her. Decisions. Decisions. She didn’t know what to do.OOC Jay is targeting ACTUALLY JUST IGNORE THE DICE! Jericho heard the hunter's cry, but ignored it. Not his home? No. He was wrong. It was their home indeed. He would prove it. He was finally here. After all this time. It was not a fight he was willing to let up on so easily. With a thunderous roar, the dragon's claw swept over the land to try and barrel through the creatures that were here. Somewhere in the back of Gale's mind he could hear Jinhai calling to him, the dragon's voice sounding almost alarmed, a sharp edge to his thoughts, but Gale ignored him, pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the creature in front of him.

Did the gun from the sniper rifle really do much to him? It was really hard to say. It certainly didn't slow him down. Or did it?
