One more day at the candy store, one more very ordinary, dull, tedious as anything day. He sighed and carefully dipped a strawberry into the chocolate, turning it, and dipping it again so that he could turn it into a ridiculous ‘tuxedo’ before setting it onto a tray with it’s companions.
Somehow, working a ‘day job’ got harder once you’d spent the night rousting a den of Senshi, never mind converting the fresh recruits. It was something of a surprise to see Howlite, sorry, Kess walk through the doors of the candy shop with a look on her face that made his well practiced ‘Customer smile’ into a frown.

"Ho, there, bossman." Kess raised a hand in quick greeting as she let the door shut behind her, the bells offering a musical jingle that was at odds with the mood in the room. A quick survey of the shop let her know there weren't any customers, and she glanced outside for a moment, before looking back toward Zac.
"Mind if we step in back for a sec?" Her hands shoved into the pockets of her jacket as she shuffled behind the counter, following him into the supply room. A jean-clad hip hit the wall, and she leaned against it, thinking for a moment with her eyes on the ceiling.
The silence lingered for a moment, before she spoke, in usual blunt-Kess fashion. "We got a problem."

He hesitated a moment with his hand on the back room door knob, considering his options towards making sure this conversation stayed private and uninterrupted. “How big of a problem are we talking?” He asked, though given that she’d felt the need to interrupt him at ‘work’, and to make her way behind the counter was enough that he wished he didn’t need to leave the room to hang up the ‘back in 10 minutes sign’ on the outer door.
Maybe they could get this covered fast though, perhaps it just needed orders and she could handle it.
Alarm rang a sudden bell in the back of his mind. “No one found out who you are did they?” He almost demanded trying to keep his tone even. There was incredulity at least in his voice when he asked, the idea that she of ALL people would be ‘found out’ seemed about as likely as discovering that the Loch Ness monster was living in the locker room.

Kess sorted, blowing pale hair from her dark eyes. She needed a haircut. So did Zac. One of those freckled hands came out of her pockets, and she waved it. "Naw, nothing like that." I mean, really. Who would suspect that the laid-back delivery girl was also an incredibly deadly, cut-throat soldier of Chaos? They were way more likely to suspect the shady little dude that wore black and sold them candy with a glower. Candy shops were sort of creepy, in that way. Kess had just seen another horror movie last night involving a candy factory...
"So, I was at Daph's last night," She lifted one shoulder in a shrug, automatically flashing that lopsided grin of hers at the reminder that she and Zac's favorite employee were hooking up [he loved that], "After I got off duty, and..."
How to say it.
"She's definitely playin' for a team in the game, and it's not ours, broski."

His face shifted from ‘why are you telling me your love life’ to a fallen, blank faced stare in a matter of seconds. If it was creepy to be served by someone who at least part time looked like he wanted to boil you in the chocolate kettle the look on his face just then implied you just found the boogeyman.
“Do you know who?” He asked in a quiet and even tone. “Did you deal with it last night? Or is that part of the problem?”
Blue hair, blue hair, what senshi did he know who had blue hair? The names started clicking through his head, a meticulous list that he currently doubted the accuracy of. He wanted his notebooks, he wanted his war room, and he wanted to KNOW.

"No."
Her tone was just as even, both of them handling the news with remarkable calm. Of course, they'd been almost as level-headed the night before, while bringing havoc to their enemies. Why would this be different? After a moment of incredulous silence, with Zac staring at her with his bright eyes, Kess realized he wanted her to extrapolate on her succinct, complete answer.
"Don't know, yet. I just made a connection." A pause. "She's at her place right now. I wanted to talk to you, first. I'd have had to kill her." A longer pause, as dark eyes met pale. "I don't have your kind of power."
Her implication was clear.

He drew in a breath, holding it for a long moment and then nodded. “Noted.”
For all the calm on his face, if he’d been powered up right at that moment he’d have crushed something, possibly destroyed the store with the sudden burst of adrenaline that knowing, KNOWING they had found one of the people of Order, and that they had what amounted to the drop on them had just given him.
He –wanted- to rush, wanted to leave the store, close the store, consult his notes. Part of him wanted to jump in with both feet, catch her off guard, power up and just corrupt her. But there was a part of him that knew not all of the ‘Defenders’ of Order were created equal. There were people that, even corrupted he would consider a fundamental liability to the cause.
He could not –afford- to jump into this. “Are you comfortable keeping an eye on her?” He asked after what seemed an age of thinking. “The Glamor, whatever protects the identities of both sides may be too much, but I’d like to see, I would like to assess which option is the best. If it comes down to killing her… you’d be in the ideal place, if the alternative is better.” He waved a hand as though laying the idea out on a table.
“If the alternative is better, you’ll help get her somewhere that we can handle it with minimal chance of interference.” He nodded again, solidifying the thought, exhaling softly and massaged his temple.
“I’m glad it was you who found this, I don’t think I could ask for a better person to be In this position.”

"I'll do what I have to," and Kess was Howlite in that moment, in temperament, if not appearance. "General-King." She would kill Daphne, if came down to it, without hesitation. Considering last night's recruitment drive, however, there was a chance that she could be 'conscripted.' Time would tell.
Hearing the bell out front chime, the blonde straightened and walked out front, flashing a friendly grin to the cute girl that'd just entered. Looking over her shoulder to Zac, she lifted her chin in farewell.
"I'll let you get back to work, buddy. I've got a job to get to, myself."
