Okay, that was something he didn't need to know. But at least this time he was pitted against a creature who wasn't, well... more innocent.

Lan's sweet smile was met with a look of disgust. He didn't care for fighting, especially when the creatures were arguing and talking like any human. It was unsettling. But if all the creatures they fought were like this, he didn't think he would have a problem with it.
"Conquest huh?" There was a ghost of a smile as he ducked out of the way of the arrow. "Wasn't it us lowly filth who nearly wiped out your kind?" He asked before he lunged for her again.

Ryan let out a hiss of pain as the arrow grazed his cheek. If it had been any closer to its mark, it may very well have killed him.
"Keep dreaming!" He snarled back, driving all five points of his gauntlet into her shoulder. "Try all you want, but I'm not about to bow down to someone like you!"

Okay lesson of the day. When battling some insane and potentially lethal creature---don't piss it off! A rule one would think he would have learned by now.
Apparently not.
Ryan moved to block her attacks, but inevitably felt the woman's nails tear flesh. It was painful, but nothing he hadn't experienced before. Though guaranteed it was going to ache for a week.
"We'll see about that." He spat on the ground, glaring after her as she sped off on her mount.
