[PRP] Cave Chat [Namid x Ku'síválte]

Warmth pulsated around Namid. The body heat from Asku drove her temperature up and it was rather uncomfortable. She stood up and stretched. The cave was a bit stifling from the day's heat. Namid glanced in the direction of the entrance and saw lazy colors of orange and red sink into cool blue. The sun wasn't quite gone yet, but it was time for Namid to get up anyway. Her eyes gravitated to Asku who continued to sleep. A smile spread across her face. She didn't understand it really, but she liked him. Some times he made her feel... different. Her ear cocked to the side while she thought. Yes, it wasn't the same as how the stars felt. Just...well, different. Namid couldn't think of anything else, so she shrugged. All of these extra emotions confused her.

She spun around and walked deeper into the cave. As she continued forward, the air became cooler. The heat couldn't reach this far in. Even though it was dark, Namid could see perfectly well. The patterns and designs on the walls seemed to glow and shimmer in her eyes. The cave was definitely interesting. She was a rather new member of the pack, so some of their meanings didn't make any sense. Though, a few of them were clear. Every now and then, something will click and she'll bark with joy. However--her eyes honed in on a few marks, which looked like slug-- others just looked plan weird. Namid stepped closer to the mark and placed her nose on the wall, her eyes directly in sight of the slug.

A few moments after pressing her nose against the wall, there came a softly rustling, tumbling, and bumbling sound from...well, not so very far off. A young pup meandered closer. Her eyesight wasn't so keen as her elder's, but she managed without tripping up, this time.

Ku'si wobbled over, the pattern on her elder companion's pelt drawing her. She spotted the mark on the wall, but instead of pressing her nose up beneath Namid's, hers wound up pressed near the dots on the female's right front paw.

She blinked a couple times, and sighed.

"...not dark stars."

Oh, young disappointment!

Her eyes started to ache from remaining crossed for longer than a minute. An ear twitched as she tried to decipher the slug mark on the wall. It bothered her a little that she couldn't figure out what it meant. Though, maybe it didn't matter. It could be that the point of this particular mark was just to bother Namid.

Her eyes snapped from concentration when she felt pressure on her paw. It startled her. The attention she placed on the wall took her senses away from the things around her. She drew her face away from the wall and glanced down at the pup. Her eyes spread open in surprise. The pup's coat seemed washed in the night sky. Namid tilted her head as she studied the star looking marks on her shoulder. Her ear flopped forward as she responded, "No, no dark stars. Though..." She pulled her head up and voiced out a thought, "...are there such things as dark stars?" The question was perplexing. If the stars were bright enough to reach the land, were there dark stars to take away the light? Namid folded her brow in thought.

Little Ku'si sure didn't know! But her tail wagged softly, and she let out an excited yip, still soft in the cave, when she was answered. Big blue eyes looked upwards to the figured silhouette of her elder.

"...maybe." There was a hopeful note to her voice. Something like that excited her, to be sure!

Of course, anything dealing with the stars was bound to excite her. She was a gift to her mother from the stars, after all.

Her tail began to wag from the young one's excited yip. It was rather infectious. She mentally nodded. Happiness was definitely the best because it was like pure energy. Namid couldn't help but move her body when her limbs hummed with inner lightning.

She looked back down at the pup, who surprised Namid with her one word, 'maybe'. She usually wasn't much help with pups, that was Asku's department. They were just too... much for her. Though, she enjoyed watching them, just not getting involved. The pure essence they exuded fascinated Namid. Plus, their minds weren't clouded by influence yet.

Namid took a moment to study the pup. Her markings were very intriguing. She could blend in with the markings on the wall. "You look like part of the wall." A thought hit Namid. The pup must be the champaign of hide and go seek in the cave.
