Want

I woke up tonight
in tears
While my eyes were open

I sat in want
dying inside myself
my want turning to need

Crushing my hopes with my dreams
knowing all to well,
that all I crave is impossible

The thought came to me
to do something stupid
Actually try to be happy

But it isn't for me
you'd think I'd know it by now,
after all that's happened

You'd believe it too

It's just something
that doesn't exist

Lasting Happiness

There just always has to be
something
just standing there
blocking all that I want to be my fate
