Z'en was shaken up from his encounter with his fellow Senior Weyrling, she was so adamant that her way was right, it made him think for a while. He kept his thinking to himself though as he knew Kataith's view on the matter. They'd not returned to their Weyr in case the other greenrider was waiting, they'd seen them launch from their ledge. He'd sent his flits off to keep them safe, he wasn't sure where they were and he didn't call them. He wasn't worried about Viska anymore, since the fighting had started, as the oldest of his flits, she'd taken charge of the others keeping them together and safe.
He and Kataith were looking for stray herdbeasts for Kataith to eat since she hadn't eaten since before the fighting, and she was looking rather pale for her. They'd located a smallish group near the beach and Kataith tucked in on one large one, Z'en was nervous as he wasn't on her back but off to one side, he wasn't squeamish but preferred not to watch his Dragon eat, he felt it respectful somehow, not that Kataith was bothered.

Kesin and Kesisk, Initiative
All in all, things had been going relatively well for Kesin and Kesisk since their near-disastrous first fight. They'd been doing much better, first against a traitorous handler pair, then a green dragon, and next against the attempted infiltration into the tunnels. Feeling more confident, it wasn't long before they ventured out again. They weren't looking for a meal for Kesisk, though, as the young gold was still eating blood-porridge.
As they neared the beach, the sound of frightened herdbeasts caught their attention. What was going on...?

Kataith heard the noise before Z'en did, even over the sound of her eating, that or she felt the nearby presence perhaps. Regardless she turned from her meal, her face bloody and fearsome. They'd been forced to run in her last confrontation, today she was not prepared to let that happen. She bent her head low and moved to block Z'en from whatever was coming. She'd made the mistake of waiting for the other to make the first move, she felt that's why they'd had to flee.
"What do you want and who's side are you on?" she asked, her voice booming towards whoever was approaching, when she saw it was a Wher, her eyes flashed red/yellow she wasn't impressed and she was even less impressed at the sight of her armed Handler.
Z'en didn't notice the arrival until Kataith moved in front of him, it was a Wher, a young Gold, and her handler, he had Wherhandlers as friends, and ahd been hoping he wouldn't have to fight any, but this was a new-ish face. He saw the whip and swallowed hard, he didn't know what he could do, he was unarmed and vulnerable, that and he really DID NOT want to fight but he couldn't condone the killings.

Kesin and Kesisk, Idle
As soon as the young green came into view, Kesisk's eyes whirled red and orange, and when the dragon dared to speak to her so, she let out a low, clicking hiss. She lashed her little tail, and lifted her lips to show her fangs. She did not attack, though - Kesin had been annoyed with her when she'd attacked that bigger green without waiting to be told.
Don't like Bigs, she answered vehemently, turning her head to regard her handler. Was this another one she should bite?

Kataith: Attacking Kesisk
From the tone of the little Wher, they weren't on the same side, Kataith wasn't impressed nor intimidated by the smaller creature, though it was likely soon enough the Gold Wher-ling would be much bigger, for now Kataith saw the opportunity and bunched her hindquarters, almost leaping towards the Wher, swiping out with her claws, more to knock the Wher off balance than maim.... for the moment, Wher or not, this was a Gold and Kataith had little patience for the shiny hide of those that outranked her, perhaps she could take some of her frustration out on the creature.
"You should not be so quick to speak little Gold, We could have been allies" she spat in return as her claws swung at the small er form.

Z'en: Idle/watching in horror XD
Z'en blinked as Kataith charged, this was unlike his dragon, she was usually to calm and collected, besides the fight previously, he'd never seen violence from her beyond the feeding pens before. He just stood and watched as she launched herself at the Wher... and missed "Kataith!... what if she's friendly!!??" he yelled to his Green, who ignored him.

Even as Kesin gave her permission to go after the green, the dragon came at her - well, that settled that! The young wher used her smaller size and quicker feet to to avoid the weyrling's claws. As she danced out of the way, she struck out with her own claws.

Kesin, Attacking Z'en
"Oh, don't worry," Kesin assured the yelling greenrider with a smug grin. "We're not." Their string of successes had made her cocky, maybe excessively so, and she was already starting to anticipate victory. They'd already defeated a full-grown green, so how could they possibly lose against a half-grown one, even with her rider present?
Taking the whip in her hand, Kesin lashed it at the rider.

Kataith: Attacking Kesisk
Kataith snarled as the young Wher dodged her, she wasn't quite as fast our manoeuvrable as the little Gold but she was still fairly fast..... not fast enough to avoid a slash to her shoulder however but thankfully it wasn't too deep. She lashed her tail in annoyance and struck out again to try and give the Wher a good whack with her claws, there wasn't much she could do on the ground and if she took off, the Wher might target Hers and Kataith wasn't prepared to allow that.

Z'en: Attacking Kesin (but only because he has to XD)
Z'en bit back a pained grunt as the whip lashed at him, catching him along the collarbone, he'd unbuttoned his riding jacket while Kataith had been feeding. "Hey!.... what if we were on your side?!" he asked, his voice slightly on edge.
"MINE, THIS IS NO TIME TO BE AFRAID" Kataith yelled at him, feeling his reluctance to fight "If you don't fight her Mine, she will be able to hurt you AND me"
That seemed to give Z'en the nudge he needed, something threatening his Green, the Wher, he knew what they could do, and hoped that Kataith could deal with it fast, cause if it took her down for any reason, it would probably shred him, he had a respect for Whers that most Dragonriders didn't have and he had a special (to him) Bluehandler to thank for that.
He moved quickly to try and close the gap between him and the Wherhandler, trying to punch her in the stomach or something to make her winded and give him time. He'd fought with Weyrbrats enough, despite his preference to be by himself, to know how to fight.

This was almost becoming routine for the little wher. She'd been swiped by dragon claws countless times - not that she could really count - and this one's claws were not as big as the others'. Kesisk barely flinched, and was quick to snap at the dragon's foot.

"No, you're not," Kesin said, rolling her eyes. "If you were, your dragon wouldn't have been so quick to attack a wher." If he was trying to buy time with his protests, it wasn't working.
...the punch to the stomach did, though. She was never going to get used to that. The girl stumbled back a few steps, then collected herself enough to swing the whip at him again.

Kataith squealed as teeth clamped down on her foot, "So that's how it's going to be, alright" she said, dipping her head to bite at the little Gold's wings, they were useless anyway but perhaps she could shred them enough so that the creature was well enough maimed.

Z'en: Attacking Kesin
Z'en frowned, "Everyone makes mistakes and she was feeding, not REALLY the best time to 'sneak up' on anyone.... Please.. i don't want to hurt you or your Wher" he said as she backed up and got him with her whip again, evidently his blow hadn't been enough to stop her from attacking and he caught the whip along his arm, bringing up an almost instant red welt. He closed in again, reluctantly, and swung for her again.

Kesisk avoided the green's attempt to bite her wings, and turned to hiss at the dragon. Those were her wings! ..Which were already crooked thanks to the bronze Big stepping on her. While the dragon's head was down, she tried to lunge and claw at her face.
