Weeks had passed and the arctic gryphon had yet to leave her room. She had done anything but leave her room. Spent time downloading her favorite dork dome sort of shows and also spent a lot of time in front of the warm glow that was her television and game set. Her computer had also been occupied quite frequently. But all good things came to an end at some point. Usually when the rations of food were low did Tahki emerge from her room to stock up once more. Either that or when some one came a knocking at her door.
No one came a knocking per say but she did hear some noises across the hall. Tahki timidly tip toed to her own door and pressed a fluffy cat like ear to see if she could get a better idea of just what the sounds were. The room across the way from hers had been unoccupied since she'd been assigned her own. The gryphon had to wonder if maybe some trouble making students were causing some trouble which made her all that more timid about leaving her room. All the worst possibly out comes of what could be happening stormed around her head. Something made her hand turn the door knob and slowly let it creek open. The gryphon stayed timidly in the shadows of her own room letting the cold air mist out like she lived in some sort of refrigerator. Which was , to be fair, kind of accurate. For what ever reason her mini pets did not mind the cold to much.
Slowly, Tahki put a foot out of her door and crept forward. Her ears laid flat on her head and her wings were very close to her back. She reached the door and slowly lifted her hand. Her eyes shut and her body moved away but her fist did a knock upon that door. The gryphon almost ran back to her own room but found her self a little to scared to move. Something kept her standing there. She froze in place. Maybe from the cold air still creeping from her own room.

He hadn't realized he was bumping so much when he was moving everything in. It was his first time even touching a box by himself. At home, someone else had packed and loaded up this things, leaving the stag to do whatever he pleased while it happened. However, he wasn't home anymore. He was in a dorm room with other... things. Other creatures. Most of them didn't even look arctic. He would probably hole up in his room for a while before he even attempted to meet other people. His tri-colored hair was tied up in a pony tail and he was getting way to warm for his comfort. Some of these boxes were really heavy and Glasere Uller had no upper body strength to speak of.
However, just as he had gotten one box into the room, another would fall, which pissed the blue male off completely. The stomping probably drew the attention of the one who knocked on his door.
Wait. Someone knocked on his door? Flicking a long ear, he looked over at the door and let out a loud curse before he tried to make his way there. It was a maze. A messy maze full of hazards and probably breakable things that were probably cracked or worse. Finally, he got to the plain door and opened it up, looking huffy and like he was having a bad day.
"What?" He said to whoever it was, black eyes not even really looking at her. Finally, he looked away from the mess in the room and blinked. Oh. It was a girl. His room was warmer than hers was, she'd find out, because he hadn't had time to adjust the temperature yet. There were pets in cages that were getting really restless and making noises to be released. "...Sorry. Bad day." His replies were short, but he was not enjoying himself right now.

Sounds could be heard from the room and for a moment Tahki debated just going back to her room and hiding in her pile of treasure for a while. But that option died out quickly when the door opened and revealed a dark eyed creature. Did he have horns? Part of Tahki wanted to reach up and touch them but she easily fought that urge. He spoke and Tahkis ears went back. She did not answer the what only looked at him with big glowing yellow yes. The gryphon tugged on her hat sub consciously. And then he apologized.
Tahki blinked.
"...."
She blinked once more. Words were not forming. To be perfectly honest the gryphon wasn't entirely sure what to say.
"You must be new..?" Her courage was slowly knitting it self. She looked around the deer like student to peer more in to his room. Curiosity killed the cat after all. Her tail twitched a little. "D-do you need any help or anything?" Tahki was so nervous she forget to introduce her self. And her offer to help was a little half hearted. To be honest the gryphon knew just about as the deer probably did about moving. She had people for that.

He almost didn't catch what she said, she said it so quietly. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes at that and settled for a purse of his lips and a nod. "Just arrived, really," he said, a white eye brow arching as he stared at her. What she was, he wasn't quite sure, but she seemed to have a familiar air about her that he felt with all other arctic creatures. He leaned against his door frame and shrugged a little before looking back at his mess.
Help would be good, but what if she didn't do something right? Ah, screw it. He was hot and two arctics in one room would cool the place down. "Who are you, first of all? You offer help, but not a name? It's quite odd if you ask me. But, since you didn't say it first, I will. Glasere Uller." His tone was haughty, as if everyone should know who he was.
His darker blue hands moved to tug at the neck of his tunic shirt, fanning himself off before he sighed. "I guess you can help, but don't be too nosy. Don't break anything either." With that, the boy went into his room, tail flicking as he moved, carefully to the cages. He had to step over tall boxes and made sure he didn't step on the smaller ones. He prayed to whatever, that this girl seriously didn't pry into his personal life and ask him a bunch of questions. He hated that.

The gryphon had moved from gripping her hat to her headphones. Adjusting them in her own nervousness and looking very meek for such a creature as her self.
"Tahki. erm..." She paused, " T-Tahki Yukis the full name. Arctic Gryphon?" The gryphons clutch on her headphones seemed almost cemented even more as Uller went on about not breaking things if she helped. Tahki decided she better not mention she was not used to unpacking. For some reason she was feeling like she needed to help this student. After all she had offered. He didn't need to know she had almost no experience. Hopefully he would not find out by her performance.
"I won't break anything, " Tahki gave Uller a reassuring smile. At least she'd try not to break anything. She'd try her hardest and thats what mattered right?
"So .. uh.. You... gonna let me in?"

He paused mid step as she said Gryphon. There was no way this girl was a gryphon. She was seriously meek and looked to small for one. "Just follow me. I don't remember which boxes have breakables in it, so if you pick one up be very, very careful." Right now his whole room was littered in boxes. One of them was half unpacked, and it looked like he'd found his clothes. Several colorful shirts were laid out on the bed and she would be able to see where he was sitting before looking though the other boxes. "...You can sit on the bed if you want. Hold something up and I'll you what pile to put it in." He found the chair for his desk and put the box that was in it, on the desk before sitting down next to the cages. "Shut the door. I don't want these getting out." He pulled up a bird cage, and in it was a Thomas, his snow bird. He reached through the bars and sighed, petting his feathers and made soft noises. If she was sharp, she would notice Uller hadn't said what he was. He would think it was fairly obvious, what with the deer ears, small antlers and tail. Though her being a gryphon should have been obvious too, right? "If you have to know what I am just call me a White Stag." Those odd eyes looked back to Tahki, both brows raising. "Come in. Just follow the path and be careful of boxes." He nearly snapped that, she was taking so long.

The door shut just as Tahki was instructed to do so. Her nerves might have gotten the better of her and the shut might have been that more of a slam than a gentle shut. She jumped a little at the sound but managed to keep a bit of a dignified composure. Just a bit. Lucky for her there was no EEEE sound that escaped her.
She was careful to not bump in to any of the boxes just as she was instructed. The bed was made to with out a single thing bumped in to or knocked over. Already Tahki was feeling like a pro of navigating through boxes. She was secretly proud of her self. Tahki took a seat on the bed and ruined her stream of luck by sitting directly on some of the folded clothing that had been pulled out already. The gryphon hopped up and tried her best to flatten them back to their original state. She was having no luck.
"Uh." She managed and continued to try to flatten.
It was interesting to hear he was a deer. Tahki wasn't overly surprised by this, or maybe it was more she was a bit panicked from having creased the fresh unpacked clothing.

He hadn't seen what the gryphon had done. He was too focused on hanging Thomas' cage up by a cup hook in the ceiling. He knew the ceiling would support the weight of the bird ad cage, Thomas hardly weighed anything and the cage was nearly empty. Sighing, he smiled when Thomas let out a chirp and then moved to another cage. Glancing over at the grphyon girl, he watched her try to fold his clothes and shrugged. "I iron them before I wear them, so creases aren't really a big deal. Tears, though..." He arched a brow and shook his head. "I can't sew, so if you tear something, you'll sew it up yourself or you'll pay me back somehow." His tone left no room for nonsense. If she ripped something of his, he would have her head.
"What did you say your name was? Tacky? Like... That's tacky clothes?" He wrinkled his nose at that and shuddered. Tacky clothes... He hated tacky anything, honestly. "Who would name their kid Tacky? That's just bad parenting." Snorting a little more, he opened one box and dug through it. Ah, it was marked right. He pulled out a few pictures and books and set them on the table before looking over to her again.
"What year are you?" Oh yes, question time after insulting her name. He was a real piece of work, wasn't he?

Tahki continued to try to get the creases out of the clothing even more. She was pretty sure she did not rip anything but she nervously continued biting her lip and trying to get rid of any creases. Her tail twitched as her nerves twitched. The more Uller talked the smaller Tahki was feeling. She almost wanted to run off but she didn't want to hurt Ullers feelings.
But then the issue of her name came up. The gryphons ear twitched upward and shadows almost seemingly covered her eyes mostly from the bill of her hat. A faint glow from one yellow eye was all that could be scene and a blank expressionless mouth. Tacky? Really. The gryphon held up a finger and opened her mouth to answer.
"Tahki. Tah- KEY." Her tone was flat but her volume had improved at the very least. "Tacky is is is is is is is is is j-j-ju-just ruuuude!" In a matter of seconds the cool image Tahki had momentarily had was gone and the gryphoness was sniffling a little. How could some one be so mean. She was to busy sniffling to hear the question about her year. The gryphon turned to exit the first years room but knocked over a few boxes with out stretched wings. This made her jump back and cry out.
Tahki was on the floor trying to put things back in the boxes very quickly and awkwardly. A few sniffles could be heard.

When she corrected him about her name, Uller arched a brow. "Oh, that's a lot better than tacky," he muttered to himself. His eyes widened at the sniffling and he pinned his ears back. Shite, he was being a d**k, wasn't he? Sighing when she knocked over a box, he just rubbed his face a little more before watching her. "....."
Feeling bad that he was making her so jumpy and nervous, he got down on his knees to help her pick things up without getting onto her about it. It seemed this was just a box of books and loose papers anyway. Sometimes Uller wrote things and he had to have research for it. "....I did not mean to make you this upset," he said softly, sighing, ears flicking this way and that. He didn't want to make enemies. He had to make friends here, didn't he? It was just really hard starting over. "Tahki? I did not mean to insult you at all. I.." he sighed and frowned a little more.
He frowned and looked to the side before he found the cage that held his little 'kitten'. Pulling Snow out, he held it in front of the gryphon and smiled a very small, smile. "This is Snow. She likes attention..." He said, putting the kitten down in front of Tahki. Maybe this would help her stop sniffling. He seriously didn't want to see an arctic cry. More often than not they cried little drops of ice, and it was a mess to clean up when they left the room and it thawed out. Snow, however, wasn't a real kitten. She was a Sunekosuri.

Tahki couldn't meet his eyes as she continued to go ahead and pack things the best she was able to. The ghouls tears were starting to dry but the sniffles continued a bit. But then he apologized. Tahki froze for a moment and looked up to meet his eyes. She sniffled a few more times and lowered her head a bit.
"Thanks." Tahki wiped her yes and blew her nose in to her sleeve. It was a little messy and gross but Tahki felt really really sticky in that region. That seemed the best option to rid her self of that feeling.
He was offering her a kitten. Tahki happily accepted the kitten and hugged it to her. Her frown turned in to a small smile in no time. Maybe Uller was alright after all.
"Do you game?" Tahki set the kitten back down and reached for another object to pack.

He had to look away when she cleaned her face up and tried not to be too grossed out by it. He cleared his throat and got up when she took the kitten before sighing. Uller just didn't do well with crying ghouls. Crying in general wasn't something he did very often. He went back to the box he was unpacking before he heard her question. Again, he paused and looked over to her before letting a confused look cross his face. "What? Game? Like .... sports? No. I'm not athletic. If you're talking card games, then yes. I enjoy card games quite a lot. I don't know any other form of gaming though..." Unless you are talking about teasing smaller children and scaring the pants off of them a game. Then in that case, yes, yes he did.
Something, however, told Uller that isn't what she was talking about. Seeing the headphones, he assumed Tahki was tech-savvy. Uller didn't. He couldn't even use a computer without messing something up and freezing the stupid thing. Then he would hit it and it would shut off or make a really annoying, single, long beeping noise. The last computer that did that was literally thrown out of his window at his home. He couldn't deal with that annoyingly loud noises like that! Not even Thomas made that noise.

Tahki made a very disapproving face at the mention of sports. The gryphon was not very keen on the idea of anything like that. In fact, Tahki made a point to avoid most athletic type outings most of the time. Card games on the other hand weren't so bad as long as they had something to do with fantastical sort of things. RPGs were her favorite. Battling wizards and dragons and stuff were cool.
"I mean like video games?" She smiled a little bigger and almost expected a yes. Most of the students she'd come across enjoyed video games. It was hard to imagine those that didn't enjoy games. It was like telling Tahki you didn't like music. Just not possible in her world. She leaned in a little closer expectantly.

Video games? "I've never played them. I can't even work a computer properly without beating it senseless," he said offhandedly, unpacking his books and moved to another box. "Ah! My lamp." He pulled out a lamp that had a deer head shape and the antlers held the light bulb and lamp. Grinning to himself, he set it up on the desk and then delved deeper into the box. "I read, mainly. I find it entertaining and it doesn't give me a headache. However, I do listen to music on my... I don't even know what to call it. It reads those little circle disks? We do not have a lot of technology where I am from. I have to get a phone while I'm here, though. At least, that is what I've been instructed by several people. The driver, my parents..." He could tell her that without it being too much personal information about him, couldn't he? Frowning to himself, he pulled out a new box after emptying the books and nodded. This one was posters he was going to hang on his wall. He hadn't found his thumbtacks yet. This was a little distressing. "By the way, most of this is clothes, so just fold it and put it on the bed and I'll take care of it later, when everything else is unpacked."

Tahki couldn't help but smile hearing that he was a book worm. She her self also read quite a bit but her type of books were the romantic kind. Something she was not fond of openly admitting. Then he mentioned discs and music. Tahki couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Oh?" She mused trying not to sound condescending. She let him go on about it and said nothing. Only smiled while she happily started to unpack more of his clothing. Her folding was something terrible. Tahki almost crumbled the clothing in to a ball with how she folded. It was awful. But the gryphon happily continued her awful folding. A reapers snake familiar had taught her how to do laundry only a short while ago. Because the reapers familiar had no hands the two had never gone over the proper way to fold things. So Tahki thought how she folded was the correct way. "I read too," The gryphon continued her 'folding'. "And I think what your talking about is called a CD player. I had one of those at one point."
