Many of the traditions, laws, and social cues of the Regency Era are completely different from those of today, though some relics from the past remain. This guide is by no means comprehensive and is meant for those who want to roleplay with a degree of accuracy, but it isn’t meant to replace good old fashioned research when it comes down to the nitty gritty. The information in this guide was culled from books, websites, and other articles that can be found in libraries and on the internet. Please realize that even though a lot of research has gone into this guide, the information in this guide might not be completely accurate and some misinformation may escape the fact checking that this guide has undergone, and some information that hasn’t been explicitly stated in the references, but may play a role in roleplay or character history has been elaborated and been the victim of conjecture based on the most accurate and relevant information on the topic that can be found and existing information on the customs of the time.
