And when he gets to Heaven,to Saint Peter he will tell...
The Russian night sky outside the windows of the helicopter was clear, with the moon illuminating the ground below sufficiently that Aingel, in the pilot's seat, did not have to use the searchlight to see the ground. Off to the left and right of the chopper were the navigation lights of the two escorting Mi-24 Hinds that were sent by the Russian government to guide the Venom towards Chernigrad. On the horizon, though, something was wrong. the spot where Chernigrad's lights should be, and the area around it, was all a dark void. It looked like fog, but black in color, as if all light from the outside was being absorbed. As the chopper approached the threshold, the Hinds peeled away, speeding off as if they could not get away fast enough. Indeed, the closer the Venom drew to Chernigrad, the more a feeling of dread welled up within Aingel, and he felt compelled to bring the Venom to a stop before entering, to reconsider this contract. However, he held fast, and braced himself as the helicopter crossed through. Total darkness was the only word to describe it. It was as if the moon and stars had been erased from existence. Aingel flipped on the Venom's searchlights, carving a beam of light into the dark, but it did not seem to help the mood any. To make it worse, the GPS systems had gone out, and even the satellite phone stopped working, forcing Aingel to pull up a map of the area on his internal HUD and navigate by the landmarks he saw in the Venom's light. Below, on the ground, there was occasional movement as something humanoid was caught in the chopper's searchlight. However, whatever they were, they were not human, shambling away before Aingel could get a good look at them. Their infil point was the train station, but, since Aingel was forced to reduce speed so that he could navigate without hitting a building, it would be a few minutes before they arrived. To break the annerving atmosphere, Aingel turned and addressed his passengers.
"Alright, five mikes till we reach the infil point. Everyone ready?"
"One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell."

Brigadier General Thomas Pryor
General Pryor was sitting on the outer most seat of the Venom, giving him a good look outside. He dint watch the search lights for very long, being that if you saw anything from them it was already moving, so he kept his eyes so he could let them adjust to the dark, even though he didn’t get a whole lot, but he would see shadows moving every now and then. Thomas had his M4 propped up against his chest, his arms wrapped around it, with his hands over his mouth. Pryor was deep in thought and only let out a sort of grunt when Aingel came over the radio. This situation was not a normal one, for an entire city of this size to lose all of its power and to have zero lights what so ever was not a settling thought. He caught the radio transmission from the Spetsnaz and for one of them to be scared meant something was wrong, Thomas knew he would be able to hold his own against one, and that if there were two he would have a problem, and for an entire team of them to go out the way they did meant that was a major problem. As Thomas caught the ladder end of Artyoms words, he reached over and patted his shoulder, he knew what a team like this meant to someone. But Thomas never said a word, he was unsettled about the situation but he wasn’t showing it, even though it wouldn’t be hard for someone to notice it.

And when he gets to Heaven,to Saint Peter he will tell...
Aingel nodded ant turned his head forward again, starting intently out the windshield. At this slower speed, the humanoid creatures could be seen more clearly in the lights as they stares up at the Venom and snarled before shuffling away. Whatever they were, they were indeed not human, at least, not anymore. They were emaciated, their clothes barely hanging on, and a few of then were no longer wearing clothes at all. Their faces were hollow, with yellowed teeth in a mouth that seemed locked in a permanent snarl. Their eyes were completely white, though they seemed to still retain their sight, and their hair had fallen off in clumps only leaving small tufts of dark, wiry hair on top of a barren scalp. Despite their horrid condition, they moved rather quickly in an awkward, half-shuffle, half-stumble, and many nearly fell as they shambled out of the light. Aingel shook the images from his mind, and continued to navigate, until, finally, the spotlight came upon a large sign in Cyrillic: Chernigrad Train Station. Carefully, Aingel brought the Venom over and swept the light's beam over the station, looking for a place to land. Finally, he found an empty spot in the rail yard, and he brought the Venom over, touching down softly. There were no signs of the creatures, but everyone in the chopper would feel them; or rather, they would feel a hostile presence in the air, as if they were trespassing in an area where they were not welcome. Aingel shook his head in an attempt to clear the feeling, and looked back at his men.
"Ok, here's the plan. You guys are going to infil here on foot to look for survivors and traces of the Russian Spetsnaz team. I'll be overhead, providing CAS. This station was the last recorded location of the team, but the distress message reported that they were closer to the city hall, about three klicks away. That will be where we'll be headed. Rules of engagement are simple: If it doesn't saw words when you shine your light on it, shoot it. My callsign will be Archangel, as usual. Now, let's get going."
"One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell."

Commander TridentMarine Commander --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trident looked over at the private and gave him at stern and serious look.
"Better be careful there private. People fall off these things all the time,"Accidentally" of course."
He told him in the most dead serious tone of voice. You could tell that he didn't mean accidentally. In his line of work many other people have been injured for doing something or say something to a fellow Marine. It's always been written down as an accident or mishap. He looked back another way and closed his eyes and began to say a prayer to himself out loud.
"I address you, my God, because you give What we cannot get ourselves Give me, my God, what remains Give me what no one ever asks of you. I do not ask for rest Nor tranquility Whether that of the soul or the body. I ask not for wealth, Or success, or even health. All that, my God, you are asked so much for That you no longer have them. Give me, my God, what remains Give me what others refuse. I want insecurity and anxiety. I want turmoil and brawl. And that you give them to me, my God, forever So that I am always sure to have them. For I will not always have the courage to ask. Give me, my God, what you have. Give me what others do not want. But also give me courage And strength and faith. Because only you can give, my God, What we cannot take for granted."
He finished off his prayer and pulled his ballistic face mask down over his face. He did not pull his hood over his head yet just because the wind of the chopper would blow it off just as it was pulled up. He could feel them start to descend and approach the landing area.
As the Venom set down he unhooked himself and stepped off the the skids, he pulled his ballistic mask over his face and pulled the hood up and onto his head. He was the first off onto the ground, he pulled out his dual M1911's out of his thigh holsters. He took a knee, aiming his pistols at the two and ten o'clock position, and watched all points of interest, scanning for any signs of life or hostiles. He provided cover for his team so that they would get off safely, as he wait for them to step off and get this mission started.
