I HAVE DECIDED! WOOOO! So I've decided on getting the cartridge because I enjoy collecting box art (Yes I do biggrin ) and if I ever get a 3DS XL (whether it's just for me or for both me and my sister) then I can play it on both! Thanks for your awesome opinions everyone! 3nodding If you still think differently, you may post your opinions in this thread if you like! ^-^ --
https://club.nintendo.com/double-coins-nsmb2.do I was looking at that and I was wondering, "Hm, if I download it on my 3DS, I get 100 coins and I'll have it as an app forever, but I think that game cartridges are a little bit more valuable..."
I don't know. What do you guys think? Download is nice, but I think the cartridge would have more value, you know? ninja

The only reason I don't really want to download is I don't know how much space it will take up on my 3DS. Will it take up a lot of space? Will it save to the SD, or System memory? Does anyone know?

It depends, will the download cost more or less than the cartridge? not to mention what am I going to do if I beat the game but not want the cartridge anymore? I'm at a 50/50 split decision on this, but hey there may be a time where they will stop doing cards/cartridges and you'll have to buy/download games, people are always trying to be efficient, but some of these efficiency methods are double edged swords though. but I am still pondering this though. card or download?

I am going for cartridge, since I already preorder the game. I, however would of chosen download since now a days, the instruction manul is being short. That may be good to some, but I prefer the thick manual that they use to come with.

I think I'll go for the physical when I get around to getting the game.
Memory isn't really an issue for me. I managed to find an 8 GB SDHD card at Walmart for $10.
What I like about physical is the collection of games I can display.
If I ever get a game digitally, it would be one that I would always want on hand to play (say, Animal Crossing).

Lunar Halo 24 The only reason I don't really want to download is I don't know how much space it will take up on my 3DS. Will it take up a lot of space? Will it save to the SD, or System memory? Does anyone know? 3DS software saves to the SD Card and DSiWare saves to the System Memory I'm fine with saving to SD because I got a lot of space on my sd card (16GB micro SD) But im still iffy about which version i should get XP

Maxmel It depends, will the download cost more or less than the cartridge? The download costs the same amount of money as the cartridge, I think.

It depends on the game a bit to me, but a game like this I'd prefer cartridge. Its one of those things where that type of game I'd probably play through once and be done with it, and want to get some trade-in value. Other games that tend to be more open-ended or quick play (like puzzle games) I'd be more likely to get as a download. I'd also bet a game like that takes up a good amount of space versus your normal eShop fare.
Though the coin bonus is pretty cool, that in part depends if you see anything on Club Nintendo you want. That many coins still isn't going to get you much unless you're already an active member.

I'm going to get the game itself, I don't want to waste all that space by downloading it, and if I beat it and don't want it anymore I want to be able to get something back for it

Just figured out the file size for NSMB2. 2,950 blocks, which is the same as 370 megabytes. The file sizes will change depending on the game. From: Nintendo 3DS Blog.

Personally, I'd rather have the ability to sell it or give it to someone when I'm done with it. But if you can't make it out to the store, then it's kinda worth it, if you can sacrifice the space. (Maybe if you had a 16g SDHC card?)
