Once they were outside, Madison pointed Israfel towards the beach. "Stay with me, now, or I'm gonna get in huge trouble," she said, though the easiness of her grin indicated that she wasn't too worried about that. Not with this one. "Thought we might go down to the beach. It's usually foggy, but it's still water, so..."

Earwings pricked up then began to flick about as it trying to catch the sounds of something in particular. The island for the most part, looked mostly unchanged, the the fog was still present and it unsettled him.
"Hrm... the fog is still here. Does it ever go away?" Wings shuffled, testing the air. "And if it's all the same, I'd be worried about me flying than running. But no, I have no plans to flee. After all, where might I flee too?"

He could certainly swim into the sea but who knew where that would take him? Probably not home he was guessing. More than likely he'd just be sent tumbling back by the waves and currents. Bending down to pull off his boots, the toes looked human. "Hold this for me?" Pulling off the skull pin the change was subtle change. Taller, larger wings, and a more mature face. The feet however were the most obvious change, becoming thing bird like talons. "It's much nice in my true form. the sands in my feet is just... nostalgic? I am not sure if that is the right word for it. The action simply reminds me of home."

"It did once," Madison said, wistfully. She was studying him, though, curious. "You seem... kinda different? Then you were when I met you, I mean." She took the pin automatically, feeling the faint tingle of FEAR against her skin. "Yeah, definitely kinda different."

She hesitated for a moment, pushing a stray strand of hair behind one ear. "So when were you here before? What happened? I didn't know any of you, uh, students had been here before, but then there's lots of stuff that goes on here that I don't know about."

"Once." He looked up to the skin frowning slightly. "That must have been nice. Its always twilight... or night in Halloween. So a bright day is... rare. In some places you'll get them, others not so much." Walking down the the sand he pause, raking it in between his toes. A smile of contentment as he breathed in the salt water air. This was comforting, fog or not.

"The Pin holds us in a more human form. Required by the school since some students are a bit.. large? So many various shapes and sizes it helps to have everyone a bit more uniform in size and shape." Wings gave another flap. "Do my form bother you? My kind are more human than most but-" He looked at his feet with a shrug. "Some humans take fright by that aspect alone."

Walking further on the beach he spotted the light house, shying back just slightly. "We.. came on a field trip. An accident I think. We set out on boats and crashed here. Something... made us go a bit insane but eventually we managed to escape. It was confusing not just because our minds were muddled, but no one had any answers to give us. We were shoved to the side and were more or less silenced."

A seashell underfoot, he picked it up, tapping it off from sand. "It was the start of our fear."

Madison laughed. "Scare me? I've seen... god, I've seen all kinds of things, by this point. Hell, this guy right here..." She tapped at the beads currently encircling one wrist. "He's a four-headed snake bigger than two of me. That would've freaked me out so hard - not any more, though. The mindless ones, that's the thing that gets me. The things that just keep coming. Ugh." She shook her head as if to fling the thought bodily out of her mind. "But everyone's different, I guess."

She noted his faint recoil from the lighthouse. "Wait, a field trip? Your school sent you here?" she said, boggling internally. It was obvious that Amityville didn't shy from danger, but that seemed over the top. "That must've been before my time, then." She, too, nudged at the sand with her feet before speaking again.

"Fear of what? Us?"

Israfel giggled. "That's good. Well not the mindless things, I mean, not being scared. the less scared we are of each other the better. After all fear will just keep us from having a good discussion er-" he tapped his lip, "-understanding? Both I guess. It's all just confusing."

Skipping to the water, he stopped just short of the waves. "Yes. I am not sure if it was intentional, but the end result was the same, were crashed and were stuck here." He sighed, "And is it so surprising? They think you kill us for fun. Untrue, they don't see much past that."

"Heh. Some of ours think the same thing about you, y'know," Madison replied, with an ironic smile. "But we went over that last time. Thanks again for the pendant, by the way..."

Her words trailed off. "It's the Horsemen we should be hunting, anyway. They're the ones who do most of the killing, I think..."

That was true. Things had not changed by much since last time, if anything had changed they had only gotten worse. Wading a bit into the water after pulling up his pants, the siren began to walk, splashing slightly with the waves. "I hear that and... was told it to be true. They think poorly of your kind. I pity them in that. Humans are fascinating. We can learn so much from your kind but they would shun you and treat you as lesser. It's not very right."

Huffing he pulled out his pin. "Well if anything I am glad it was of use to you. Um... if it not to rude to ask.... was his death.. taken well? Er as well as one could hope?" He wasn't sure how to phrase it. "Ah.. death is... so odd. We have such differences with it... Much um... final for your kind." Awkwardddddddddddddddd.

"It... well, death isn't exactly uncommon," she said, with a sigh. "There's a cemetery here, you know? Uh, but the graves are permanent. And there's a lot of them, especially from before we were able to have partners." Again her hand went to her wrist, indicating her weapon's unsummoned form. "Our weapons - being a team, working with them - they help us survive. And then we can protect others."

She tilted her head at him. Maybe now was the right time... "Did you... um, you know why you were brought here, don't you? I don't want to hide anything from you. You didn't hide anything from me, after all." He seemed to appreciate honesty.

Or at least the perception of honesty.

"Yes but- ah sorry." Earwings gave a small flap. "I- I'm sorry. It's just a very odd thing. I mean we can die die too, but... we can come back sometimes. Maybe not the same but... sometimes..." He shook his head, death as something permanent was a strange concept to him.

Kicking at the water, he saw a small fish dart into deeper water. Resisting the urge to dive after it, he kept walking on the shore, content with the sand under his talons. "No. I honestly can't think of a reason. I am rare for my race so it's possible that it's that but, hunters don't seem to much interested in sirens. Not to mentions I'm a bit... on the smaller side. A runt if you will." He gave her a sad smile, eyes going to the water. "I just wanted to make sure everyone was safe, that they got out alright."

Madison took a deep breath. "We... we need more partners, Israfel. More of your kind willing to help us protect ourselves - not just us, but the whole human world." She ran her fingers through her hair again.
