Thankful to be out of that cell, Mei followed Gale along in silence. The area they had arrived at was somewhat familiar to the doll. She had been here before, with Bul during her first year of school. This was actually where she had first encountered and fought a hunter. That felt like forever ago now..the are was still coated in the thick fog like it had been before. Thankfully, she didn't feel like she was losing her mind out here. That was back at the cells.
Halting in her steps, Mei stared down at the ground, not sure what to say anymore. Gale was a decent boil, this she knew. Otherwise, he wouldn't have stood up to the two like that for her sake. But he was still with the hunters. It was likely he wouldn't be able to help her and the others out of here. Even if she asked. Nor could she bring herself to. It would likely end in him getting into a s**t load of trouble.

Gale, at least, was grateful for the fact that he was out of that stuffy room and away from the annoyances that were Rep and Dakota. One he could deal with, but both at the same time made his head hurt.
Somehow the walk with Mei - which was spent in complete silence for the first five minutes - had resulted in them arriving somehow around the town. Gale resisted the urge to look around and find his house, considering he didn't her to know where he lived, and instead slipped his hands into the pockets of his coat.
"...I can't tell you that," he said quietly, after a moment. A small breeze ruffled his hair, and Gale stopped walking, leaning against the nearest building, his back against the wood. "Not now, at least."
There was another few minutes of silence. Gale felt Jinhai stirring in his mind, subtly reassuring, and Gale exhaled slowly, turning his head back towards Mei.
"Are you the only one of your kind?" he asked. "What exactly are you? What does being a 'living doll' entail, exactly?"

Somehow, she figured that would be his answer. But if he couldn't answer, then it couldn't be anything good. Following him over to the building, Mei claimed a spot on the ground beside him, leaning back herself. "You mean, we'll find out when it happens, right?" She sighed, stretching her legs out. She didn't blame Gale for that. It was probably his orders.
She was curious to know if Bul or the others had discovered their absence by now. But even if they did, would they even be able to do anything about it? Its not like they had ever been to the actual Deus facility before. How many others were in this situation before them, she wondered?
Lifting her head to look up at the hunter, she shook her head. "No. I have a brother in fact. There is also another living doll at the school Though, I haven't seen her around much lately. But that might be just because of classes and all these damn..uh.." she was about to say 'hunter attacks' but stopped herself. Raising a brow at the boil, she gave a perplexed look. "I don't know..? For me, I require my fear to keep going..along with this scroll." She lifted the long strip of paper to show the boil. "Without my healing, I will deteriorate, and without this scroll, I lose animation until I get a new one. Thanks to the school I'm in though, I don't really need to worry about the healing issue. My fear is under more control than before. I could heal myself completely if I wanted to, and leave no trace of a crack.
