Dakota rubbed his face as he tried to wake himself up from his deep slumber. It wasn't...early in the morning...a little after...9am? He groaned as he looked at his phone, disappointed that his body had only rested on 4 hours of sleep after the horrible amount of missions the hunters were recovering from.
Even with all that though, the hunter and his sleep depraved body had slugged their way over to the training fields and had started to groggily think of the best possible wake up routine.
Except when he stepped on the field, his body instantly straightened, standing tall as he saw the two most beautiful angels to descend the pitiful foggy and usually depressingly gray Island.
One had short black hair and lavender eyes that always seemed so cheerful. He recognized her instantly as his one true Angel Eva, who he had managed to get close to...
The other one though was a Yellow green haired girl, Saya? Who was part of the moon division. HIS DIVISION. And he never really had a proper...introduction to the girl. Rubbing his face again, making sure that his hair and attire was decent, he strutted over with long tanned legs and called out a greeting.
"It looks like Valkyries from Valhalla have descended to fill a lonely trainee's deslote heart in this day of training." he eloquently said, winking at Eva and Saya. "Hello Angel...Saya."

Ah, training. Despite how tired the trainees often were due to...well, all the ridiculous missions they were sometimes sent out on, there was never really an appropriate time to skip out on training. As much as Eva used to like sleeping in, ever since arriving at Deus Ex, she quickly found that raising her chances of surviving a mission or protecting others was far more important than catching a few extra hours.
That, and Chara wouldn't allow her to sleep in even if she wanted to.
Thus, unsurprisingly, the girl had gotten up bright and early to head down to the training fields. To her surprise, she found that Saya was there as well, and she was quick to call out a bright greeting to the other girl. "Training as well, are we?" She chirped as she jogged towards her, "I hope you don't mind if Chara and I join you. We definitely need the prac--Gumdrop!"
Eva's lips spread into a grin at the sight of the moon trainee heading their way, though once he reached them and threw out a cheesy line about Valkyries, she reached out to give him a friendly slap on the shoulder. "Isn't it a bit early for that much cheese, Gumdrop?" She teased, before turning to look at Saya, "And you two have met, I presume?" They were, after all, in the same division, and Dakota clearly already knew her name.
...Then again, something about Dakota knowing the name of the girls in Deus Ex didn't strike her as very surprising. The thought brought a wry smile to the girl's face, but she said nothing, simply shaking her head and emitting an exasperated sigh.

Saya might have been practicing a few strokes of her weapon, suddenly dropping it at Eva's call. She fumbled on picking it up, at Dakota's call next, because everyone had to startle her today. She was careful not to let her sash brush against the ground, one hand holding it up, as she picked up her disgruntled weapon. "Umm .. Well, I'm pretty sure a valkyrie or an angel is a lot better at combat that I'll be." Saya tried to manage a smile, a tired one, in front of Dakota.
"We've met, on a mission before. With Ryan!" Saya's manner was a little more eager as usual, apparently pleased to know a little more of Deus. A little more, along with more and more, would eventually make a lot of Deus!
"Hello .. Dakota.. hero?" Saya lowered her head in thought, fingers brushing against her chin, in heavy thought over a nickname for Dakota. Since he partially gave her one, it was better for her to give him a name too, right? Thinking .. thinking .. thinking..

"Who has cheese? Can't be me. I spout nothing but beautiful and eloquently sensual words meant to seduce and flatter the ladies." Dakota came over to hug the death huntress, pulling her close and then looked at Saya.
"We haven't really met per se. But she's a moon hunter and I prefer to know all my huntress of my team. Plus I think we had a defending moment in one of the horsemen raids. Saya is pretty good for being a trainee." Ah he rubbed his neck and then looked at the said huntress. "Oh Sorry darling, didn't mean to leave you out but...Thanks for that defending as well." He blinked at her nickname and what she had said as well.
"Ah right! The mission with Ryan!! I remember that..Again, thanks for the defend!" He smiled and then added, "I think your just fine combat wise! Plus, Moons are really about attacking...We are fantastic at defending though." He tried to quell the urge to hug the poor little huntress...especially since she fumbled her weapon and...was just so goddamn adorable.
"Eva...Evaaaaaaaaaaaa." He hissed in the older trainee's ears and looked over at Saya. "Is she always that adorable?!!?"

Eva laughed, but made no effort to argue Dakota's point--she was sure that his way of speaking would have made at least a few girls swoon in the past, right? She returned his hug with an affectionate squeeze and then let go, chuckling as she glanced between Dakota and Saya. Aaah, so they had met on a mission? That made sense!
She looked puzzled when the boy suddenly began hissing her name, tilting her ear towards him so that she could catch his question. As her blue eyes flickered over to Saya, a grin spread across the girl's face.
"Yes," She answered aloud, shrugging her shoulders, "Saya is always that adorable. Kinda makes you want to hug her, no?"

"I'd like to say you're welcome but it just doesn't seem right .. But anytime, Dakota! If I see you that is, I cant guarantee if if I'm .. not there.." She faded off, obviously imagining it. She shook her head .. It was no secret that casualties were a certain thing and moons were perhaps, one of the more uncertain divisions. She thought about it, a little farther, as she left Dakota to whisper to Eva.
However, Eva's sentence was indicative of their whispering. Saya wouldn't have guessed their whispering was about her, her feet shuffling nervously. Obviously, they were talking about her but it wasn't in a bad way but it was still about her! She tried to think of a quick and witty reaction to that sentence but those two adjectives were not on the list of descriptions for Saya.
If she was adorable, that meant Eva and Dakota were really cool. But saying that might have sounded like an empty compliment. So Saya said the next thing in her head.
" .. Umm .. Group hugs are fine!"
Saya might have tackled Eva and Dakota for a group hug because she always wanted to do one.

"I am sure we will see a lot of each other in the future now Saya. I'll probably keep a watchful eye out for you in any case." You know, because Moons were all about each other. That's why Dakota's closest bro's were Marcus and Harrison...Or well....They were his MOON BROTHERS. And Ryan! Ryan was part of that...And Ceres. But she was like his hot moon babe that he liked to hang around with but you know...she thought of him as like...a cheesy playboy...
Which was totally true too okay, He wouldn't deny it. He hoped though that his skills would MATURE over time and he would be able to just...woo the ladies with the look.
THE LOOK.
"It's better to assume we'd be there for each other when we can't be there. Otherwise it'll be us constantly thinking we are guilty of not being able to do anything." Dakota shrugged before nodding.
"Hug her is the most innocent of things I can repeat in front of you gumdrop..." He blinked as Saya noticed them talking about her and smiled, waving his hand.
And then she was tackling them, causing Dakota to wrap his arms around the two girls and pull them into the hug as well. And then he was just like:

Eva would have asked Dakota to expand on that "hug her is the most innocent thing I can repeat" thing--she had even lifted her brows at him and opened her to respond--had it not been for the sudden tackle. She stumbled back a few steps in surprise, but was quick to laugh and throw her own arms around both Dakota and Saya. Hurrah, group hugs!
...As they hugged, Eva conspicuously tried to make sure that a certain someone's hand was no on either her or Saya's a**. She tried to keep her hands on Dakota's arms, because, well...you know.
Just in case.
Drawing back, but keeping her arms around the two, the girl tilted her head and very gently knocked her head against Saya's with a smile. "You see, gumdrop? I told you that she was cute!"

Saya giggled, deciding that accepting the compliment was a more gracious move than refusing it, in this happy atmosphere. "I suppose we can all be cute, pretty and cool right?" Saya's hand reached up to affectionately pet Eva, although the girl was older and more experienced. However, to Saya, pets were always great, no matter which age she reached.
Except until she reached an age where she no longer got them. However, that was a long way off. Also, Saya's pets lacked the mature air that usually accompanied such actions, giving off a much younger vibe, similar to the actions of a little sister and older figure.
She thought she was one of the luckiest girls to make friends with Eva and Dakota. Such a line wasn't meant to be a secret either, as Saya gave them both a final hug for the day.
"I adore all of you guys, always."

If Dakota could overload from hugs...he would. Two fine ladies on his arms....even if one said lady was clearly keeping him from getting at least a grope in on Saya. Darn it Eva, why you do such things.
"Yes, I adore both of you ladies." Dakota squeezed one more time and then pulled back, coughing like he wasn't sharing emotion with the girls. Dude not cool Dakota, you gotta be cool. Impress the ladies. or something like that.
"So...even though I adore you guys...I was wondering if you could help me out? Do you guys...know what girls like to talk about with boys? I'm trying to get better at just saying things that aren't pickup lines...."
He seemed embarrassed since he brought it up but if anyone understood Dakota and his weirdness....Eva would be one of the people.
Saya though would be learning about a very insecure Dakota.

Eva laughed, gently leaning her head against Saya's for a moment. "Sounds good to me! There's nothing wrong with being awesome, right?" Eva was always happy to be surrounded by people, and she had two good friends standing with her right this moment, one of whom she was keeping a particular close eye on still.
No groping, Dakota.
Drawing back as the others did, Eva found herself looking at Dakota curiously when he suddenly piped up with a request. Oh ho, he wanted...advice? With a grin, Eva slung an arm around his shoulder and gave him a one-armed hug.
"Well, I'm sure we could give you a few suggestions, but aren't you already charming enough as is, Gumdrop?" A little cheesy, yes, but he was pretty well-liked among the ladies already, right? "Though if you're serious about this...hmmm..."
...What girls liked to talk about with boys, huh?
