Once Danny had left Yin's room, the zomboil had stood there for a time. Stunned, feeling empty inside. That cold numbness was working it's way through his insides again, but he chose to ignore it. Now was the time for action. If there was anything at all he could possibly do to save his bonded from what might be happening...Yes, now, he needed to do something now.

But first he turned, back towards Yin's bed, lifting the mattress up to reach in and grab the laptop from within. He flipped it open and wasted no time in checking in on a certain website, typing out a message almost frantically before clicking the shut back down, pushing the laptop back to the middle of the bed, and standing back up.

And now to do what he told Danny he was going to do. He was going to find a horseman, get into that camp, and find the Preistess, Medea. He was determined that this was the right course of action.

Shuffling to the door, he grabbed his skateboard, and left the room.

-------------------

The campus itself seemed far too quiet. It felt like to Alex that there should have been more of an uproar after what had just occurred. Of course, maybe that was just how he felt because at the moment he was struggling with the idea that his boilfriend might be in incredible danger. Still, as he rolled along on his skateboard, he kept an eye out, searching for what he needed. A horseman, any horseman. He needed help.

As luck would have it, there was a Horseman wandering campus. A tall horseman whose emaciated body was hidden under masses of fabrics and robes; the only hint to his stick-like figure was the thin arm that extended from the folds of the brown overrobe, holding onto a handmade notebook with a thumb acting as a page opener.

He was looking for someone, but hadn't the faintest idea where the Undead Dorms were. The sign he had found was no help at all, for it contained the logo of the faction, not the name; there were a few that could have been undead, and thus he set about to try and find it.

At least, that was his plan. Unbeknownst to most, this Famine Sage had the directional capability equivalent to the grace of a fish out of water. Salbei had tried to scour the campus, but in the end he'd gotten too lost to even remember which way he had come from. The notebook in his hand snapped shut and tucked into a hidden pocket as the tall male gave a frustrated scroff.

"Curse this place!" He grumbled to himself, throwing his skin-and-bone tattooed arms into the air, sending fabrics billowing. The rolling was heard as his arms were in the air, and he kept them suspended for the time being, looking over his shoulder at the maker of the approaching noise.

"...Oh praise the Heirs!" Sal cried out in relief, dropping his arms to give a more becoming wave. "Alex, my favourite little Zombie! I have been looking for you~" And got horribly lost went unsaid.

A noise caught Alex's attention as he rolled along. There was somebody just over there, a...very tall somebody in robes. It was a familiar sight, and the zomboil almost sagged in relief, closing his eyes for a moment to thank Jack before he changed course and began to roll towards the horseman whom he could see, even from here, was indeed Sal.

And..strangely enough it would seem that the Sage had been looking for him as well. Alex put a foot down to stop the rolling of his skateboard, his face grim, his chest still tight and his insides still feeling as though they were tied into knots.

"Sal. I was...Well, I was looking for a horseman, actually. I'm glad I found you." He bent down to retrieve his board, the Sage's exuberance not enough to lift his spirits even the slightest bit.

"I---I need help." It was probably clear from his tone of voice alone how incredibly distraught he was feeling, but he was trying desperately to hold himself together. "Medea, I need to speak with Medea. Is there any way you can take me to your High Priestess? Please?" He was cutting straight to the chase, not even caring about whatever it was Sal had been looking for him for. Whatever that was could wait. This was far more important to the zomboil.

Salbei's smile fled when he took note of the Zombie's body language, and that expression!

"Is that so? What's wrong, child?" He was concerned, honestly so. Few people came looking for Horsemen, and even more surprising was knowing that someone was actually glad to see him. His hands folded nearly in front of him, held locked like a kindly priest might as he gave the boil his undivided attention. Help? Oh dear...help that required Medea's assistance?

Alex's desperate request was met with silence at first, the Sage clearly working something out. He didn't think any scarelings had been on their land since it became their land - and would the Priestess even see him? Would it be a risk at all to bring someone so young? Then again, he would be with him the whole way...and this was Alex. He liked Alex, and owed him a long overdue favour.

"Oh my, this already sounds quite serious..." He said finally, stroking his thin, pale chin. The Sage had seen a lot of emotions in the boil in their short meetings, but this was new; and it had a hidden intensity that made him curious, if not understanding that this was dire. "If I may ask....why do you need to speak with her?" This was important; he couldn't bring just any desperate scareling to see her...and there was a chance she wouldn't see him if it wasn't honestly serious.

Alex swallowed hard. He hadn't really planned any of this very far in advance, and wasn't at all sure how to answer any of Sal's question, or whether, for that matter, he should. It was surprising to himself that he was actually relieved to see a horseman. He didn't exactly trust them, but Sal...he had been different. He'd gone out of his way to be friendly, even going so far as to make a point of talking to the zomboil during prom to assure him that he would be repaying the debt owed soon. But whatever had happened below the school in that cavern, that had been serious, and intense, and Medea had been a part of it, and the heirs but..but not any other horsemen that Alex had been aware of.

"I'm...I'm not sure if I should say but..Sal it involves hunters, and some students are missing. I think they might be captured. One of them is...He's very important to me." Sal might have even recalled that Alex had mentioned that he had a boilfriend at the prom. "Medea knows something. I need answers. Please just take me to her and let her decide whether or not she'll speak to me? I promise, if she refuses I will leave and just..try and find another way."

Another way, like possibly going back down that passage from the locker room, if it was still open, and seeing if any hunters were still around. Maybe Alex could willingly surrender to them and be taken to wherever his bonded might be.

Salbei listened to what Alex had to say, but listening wasn't the only thing he was doing. Lidded red eyes were studying the boil, looking for any inconsistency that would betray ulterior motives; he liked Alex, but he still had to remember his place as a Horseman of Famine.

He did strike a few important keywords, and he certainly did think of that boil Alex had been looking for at Prom. It seemed he was looking for him again, only this time a little more desperately. The pleading worked however, and the boil that Salbei adored had swayed the Sage. Besides, Sal had lost someone important to him; he knew that pain too well. He took the few steps it took to close the distance, snatching up one of Alex's free hands with both of his own. The gesture was meant to be calming, but it likely seemed too close; Sal didn't often remember others had personal boundaries.

"Shh, Shh, dear colt. Don't fret, I will at least take you to her." He conceeded, patting the back of the captured hand. "I can't guarantee she'll listen, but I can at least promise to get you there." There was...one small problem, though. "However...you are going to have to lead us out of the school. I am a little, ah, lost." He admitted, shaking his head to make the trinkets in his hair c***k almost sadly.

If that wasn't reassuring, he didn't know what was.

Alex's insides were now starting to feel like they had turned to stone, hard and cold. Sal wasn't going to believe him, or help him. He had been foolish to think that he would. The zomboil was probably just a foolish scareling, in their eyes, one who was acting over dramatic and not to be taken seriously. He let his eyes drop to the ground, his white and black hair falling in front of his eyes. He clenched his jaw tight, eyes closing, fighting not to just give in to despair.

And then, suddenly, his hand was being taken in two of the Sages. Alex's personal boundries weren't actually anything for Sal to worry about. He was a zombie who liked closeness, who craved physical contact, something to remind him that he was near others. His hand that Sal took was trembling slightly, but he fought to still it as he raised his eyes back up, staring the horseman of famine in the face. "Y--You will?" It was hardly more then a whisper, and then a new feeling wormed it's way inside of him. Hope.

"Thank you." He would have hugged him, if he thought it was at all appropriate, which it probably wasn't. "Thank you so much!" The relief in his voice was clear as he pulled his hand away, taking the skateboard that was tucked beneath his arm and placing it on the ground, hoping that the Sage knew how to move fast.

"Of course, I can do that. It's this way." Lost or not, Alex was reassured that this one horseman at least, he felt like he could trust. With a push of his foot, they were gone, back in the direction of the horsemen encampment.

"Certainly~" The relief he could feel radiating from Alex was contagious; for the first time on a long time, Salbei actually felt helpful. Luckily for Alex, Salbei was good at moving fast; he had some horsepower behind him. He ran after the scareling, bone feet clinking hard against the ground with every sprinting step.

But at the gate, the sounds of Sal's feet stopped all together. "Alex, wait." Sal commanded, a little more sternly than he no doubt intended. He made a few motions and the ground under the horseman moved, bubbling, breaking and twisting until a pale, thoroughly emaciated Horse sprung up from it's depths. The Sage was quick to get on it's back, taking very worn looking reigns.

"Come, this will be faster." Salbei sounded assuring, but the Horse under him looked like it could barely keep itself up, let alone two riders. No matter what the boil said the Sage insisted, and eventually had the somewhat smaller scareling between him and the horse's neck. Like a bolt they were off, the Sage's many robes billowing as his Stallion ran full tilt.
