Here she was again, at the library. Toby let out a sigh as she leaned against the book case filled with tomes. In her hands was a book on Japanese Deities, the page turned to Sukuna-Hikona, the deity of medicine. The androgynous girl seemed a bit bored as her storm blue eyes scanned the page. No jobs, no offers, she barely had enough for a few more meals! Her usually blank face turned into a small frown at that revelation, because if they found her out here, she'd be dragged back to the orphanage. She couldn't have that, not after... No it's best not to think on it.

Toby watched in secret interest as others came and went. This was her life now. When not in action, she was here, wasting away as time moved on without her. Her mind wandered to the past and wondered if her decision was the right decision, but... Toby didn't finish the thought, and instead went back to her book.

Desmond walked into the library with an emotionless gaze. He saw Toby and smirked. 'Maybe I can have some fun . . .' he thought to himself as he strolled over to her. "Excuse me, but your blocking the bookcase. There's a book I've been meaning to get, and it's right behind you." he lied, pointing to the bookcase behind her. 'Gotta do something . . .' he thought as he faked a polite smile as he continued pointing.

Toby glanced up from her book, her storm-blue eyes locking with the boy's bright blue ones. Her face was blank as she looked at the blond that was telling her to move. With a decisive thup, Toby shut the book and pushed away from the bookcase. "Go ahead," she said in her androgynous sounding voice, her tone flat and bored sounding, "search for that book." It was hard to tell if she was sincere in that statement, or if it was just pure sarcasm. Well, since she moved from her previous spot, Toby leaned against a different bookshelf and reopened her book to read. Really, these Deities were fascinating. It was obvious that she didn't think that much of the boy who told her to move.

Desmond nodded when Toby said he could look for the book and "he" moved. Desmond looked over the books like he was really trying to find a book he wanted. He noticed that Toby had gone to another bookcase, and decided to bug "him" again. He walked over to Toby and sighed. He smirked, looking at the bookcase behind Toby and pointed to it. "I apologize, I was wrong. It's in this bookcase." he said. It was painfully obvious that he was lying. 'What better to do on a boring day then bug a guy eh?' he thought to himself. 'I'm royalty, so they can't do anything about it anyways.'

Mariana:
Blind Duchess of Einsworth

" I believe that the measure of one's honor . . ."

Mariana walked in the Library with her hand on the wall, almost as if she was leaning on it as she stopped by the door, hoping to hear whoever was inside as she sighed in relief after smelling that thick smell of books. She had wandered around the city itself looking for this place with her hand on the walls of whatever she was going to. Maria flinched as she felt someone walking inside right past her as she snapped out of her thoughts, remembering what she came here for as she took a step forward, keeping her hand on the walls and following where it went since it was the only thing there that could guide her. She used to have servants that would help her find what she was looking for since she was the Duchess, but know, she had run away and she had to do everything herself, something that she didn't care about anyway. Mariana's hand suddenly hit a bookcase as she moved it away, not feeling that as she stopped in her tracks while blowing on her hand since she had hit it pretty hard. Being blind was horrible in the place she was now. "Curse this," she mumbled to herself as she used both her hands to find the bookcase that hit her, "I have to find someone to help me, this is horrible." She spread her hands to her sides, feeling the two bookcases that were in her left and as well as to her right and she stopped again as she reached the end of those bookcases, moving her hands forward as she tried to find another that was in front of her that she couldn't see. But as her hand touched that bookcase she was looking for, she didn't keep going as she heard a voice that was familiar as she drooped her head down, Mariana's loopy hair drooping down with her as she tried to make out that voice. If she had known what kind of voice she was, it must have been someone royal and rich, that's for sure and if it was someone royal or rich, she would have to be careful around them, knowing that the person could turn her in as she grimaced, still trying to make out the voice. It seemed playful and cursing at the same time. terrifying and annoying, a voice that she's been used to all her life. Who could it be? She then heard another voice that she didn't know and decided to tune out that one, shaking her head as she tried to use her hearing to zoom into that other voice, the one that truly bugged her the voice in more ways than one. "Who could this person be?!" she thought as she walked, following the sound of the boy's voice and tripped on her foot, stopping herself by putting a hand on another bookcase, ". . This is annoying." Mariana decided to stay where she was and feel the vibrations of what he did instead since she was laying, her body back on the bookcase that he was supposedly searching for and then it clicked her who he was. This boy was a Prescott! Someone from the family that her father told her to stay away from! She had met him before when they were very young, but knowing this, she gasped a little and sighed, seeing as though she had to at least try and stay away from this boy since he had a lot of connections with her family-----and other things. Mariana walked straight with her hands in front of her and felt a bookcase, pulling out a book and feeling it with her hands as she thought, "I need to find it, no distractions. . " as she put away that book and pulled out another, knowing that it wasn't the one she was looking for.

Toby blankly glanced up at the boy again with her storm-blue eyes as she doubted he was looking for a book now. A bit annoyed at the blond's game, she snapped her book shut once more and walked off and away from him. It was best not to bend to the boredom of other's who have an off feeling about them. Toby noticed that she was walking towards a blue haired girl searching for a book, but she seemed to be doing so blindly. "Do you need some help?" Toby asked, her voice androgynous with a flat and bored tone. The book the girl had in her hand seemed to be The Odyssey, but she out that back quickly without even looking at the book, but feeling it. Strange.

Mariana heard someone coming and turned her head to that voice as she would whenever someone would speak. She heard a girl's voice speak and sighed in relief, glad that someone had offered to help her. She finished feeling the inside of the book with her hands, a way she was able to read and closed it shut, putting it back on the bookcase after finding where it was supposed to go with her free hand. "Yes please," Mariana said politely as she smiled without facing her as sometime passed, "I am looking for a certain book, Lonesome Dove By Larry McMurtry. It's old, you may not have heard of it." As she said this, Mariana pulled out another book from the bookshelf behind her and did as she did with the one she put away before speaking, feeling it for its content. Mariana had been searching for this particular book for quite a while now ever since her teacher had taken it away from her back when she had classes because it was "distracting". Now that she was free from all those things, Royalty, Classes and having to drink Tea every afternoon, well, which was something she actually enjoyed, she can now read whatever she wanted WHENEVER she wanted and besides, that book had sparked her curiosity like other things would about the freedom of the American Frontier. It reminded her of herself, since it was Freedom herself that she was after.

Leonardo Ainsworth
"Yes, children can be quite demanding about their games."

Leonardo walked into the library, wearing his usual outfit and noticed a blind girl and a girl who seemed to be dressing as a guy. 'Weird,' he thought to himself. 'but who am I to judge? I've done that before . . . stupid dress . . .' He winced at the thought of having to cross-dress again, but he had to, so he could gather information. He heard that the blind one was searching for a book, and decided to help, maybe he could get a favor out of it. He looked along down the bookcases and came to the book. He pulled it out and read the back of it. It seemed interesting enough, at least the lady had a good taste. He was thinking about this while he walked over to the blind lady, who was looking more and more familiar. The sound of his cane hitting the floor as he walked resounded through the library, since it was so quiet. As he approached the blind young lady, he held out the book. "I believe you were looking for this." he said unemotionally. He then turned and left, to where a bookcase had books by Edgar Allan Poe.

" I believe that the measure of one's honor . . ."

Mariana heard the footsteps of a different person entering the Library. They were familiar, loud footsteps, ones that reminded her of her father's when he would walk back and forth in his office when she was a little kid. But with the footsteps, she heard the resounding sound of a cane hitting the floor constantly which made her remember something else, hearing how familiar that sounded to her as she kept feeling books and putting them back. A familiar voice suddenly approached her and offered the book that she was looking for and which at the moment, Mariana turned with her seemingly-blank, useless eyes as she hesitated to take it at the moment. Upon hearing the voice at that moment, she knew instinctively who the boy was, remembering her servants constantly referring to him as the "Royal Pain" or something of which. She remembered that one day when he visited her mansion and she was told to stay in her room the whole time, something that she didn't really follow as she would sneak in her father's office and hear them talking together about the Queen and what-not. Snapping out of her flashback, Mariana took her book from the boy's hand and smiled, feeling that this was the right one as she said, "Thank you." in a happy voice in which many had never heard of. Mariana then flipped to the first page of the book and felt it with her fingers, tracing the letters and whispering to herself the words that they resembled, walking blindly straight to who-knows-where since she was so focused on the book that she tuned out everything else around her.

Leonardo found a book to his liking and opened it to read. He sat down on a chair with his cane leaning against the table and began reading. He was quite into the book when he noticed that the blind lady was walking toward the table blindly. "Um excuse me, but you're heading for a table." he said, his voice now hid a tinge of worry in it as he didn't know exactly how he could help. He then stood up, grabbing his cane again, and walked over to her, standing in front of her to stop her from going further and thus stopping her from bumping into the table, which could hurt. "Excuse me, I think maybe you should pay more attention to reality then fantasy." he said, a hint of mocking in his voice, although his voice almost always mocked someone it was very rare that he would say something nice, although he was also quite smart, so he could say things most 13 year olds wouldn't know or say.

" I believe that the measure of one's honor . . ."

Mariana was reading the book as she started walking blindly wherever she would walk to. She was already in the 10th page when she heard the boy warn her that she was heading for a table. It was too bad that she was so into the book that she didn't hear him although there was such a nice smile on her face as her hand swept through the page. Mariana then heard the footsteps and the cane walking getting louder and before she knew it, the boy had already stood in front of her, blocking her way from the table she could have hit or maybe jumped over if she was given the chance. She heard his comment about focusing more on where she was going and then gave a smile, her eyes still staring at what was in front of her instead of his face which was above her head. It was exactly what he had said a long time ago back when she was at her mansion when she was sneaking a book from the Library and reading it while walking to her classes. " How funny that the Queen's Watchdog would watch out for a Blind Girl like me," she stated as she pushed her glasses up, wondering why she even had glasses when she was blind, " It makes me feel special in a way, Leonardo Ainsworth. " As she said this, Mariana inflicted upon it her proud, Royal Tone with of course, more politeness as she tried to mimic his mocking voice as she curtsied like she did before, knowing that it was proper to do so in front of someone with his stature.

Toby was about to help the strange girl search for that book she wanted when another boy showed up. From the regal air he, the girl and the blond she ditched had, it was obvious that they were all well off or rather rich. The androgynous mercenary felt a bit out of place in her usual hangout now. Well, either way, the girl was happy now and so immersed into her book that she almost ran into a table. Toby watched in slightly morbid fascination as the newer boy blocked her way and proceeded to make a scene with the now revealed blind girl. Why does a blind girl have glasses? Oh well. Toby shuffled a bit away from them and sat down at the empty table to read her book. It was best not to get involved with nobles.

Desmond watched as the "boy" left to help some blind girl. 'Is there no way to have fun around here?' he thought to himself as he looked around the library. He noticed the other royal, a boy with an eyepatch, and smirked. 'So Leo's here huh? Maybe I could mess with him.' he thought. He waited and watched as the newest arrival helped the blind lady, then started a scene. He decided to stay back til that scene was over and he could bother the newest arrival in peace, which he would create chaos from.

Leonardo heard her comment and knew that his cover was blown, he had worn the normal civilian wear, or so he thought. Although, he was thinking about what people would usually wear in London, this was Okinawa, so obviously he had been mistaken. He sighed and said, "I thought I recognized those curls, blind eyes and attitude. Didn't I catch you sneaking books from you father's library?" His single uncovered eye searched the room quickly, and noticed a blonde boy with light blue eyes and cursed under his breath. 'I was sincerely hoping he wouldn't be here . . .' he thought to himself as he let another sigh escape from his mouth. 'Could this mission get any more difficult!?'
