I want to see your creative side in this one. Please I want a decent story set in Skyrim. I know I know whats the catch right yup well there is one or two. I want your story to have sides. I want at least one Daedric lord in it and for it to revolve around Vamps or Wolves. It has to be at least five paragraphs and not just three sentence's each.Ohh and sorry but if only one person enters I am scraping this project and prolly never doing it again. Now that I have that out of the way you prolly want to know what you are getting if you win well I can tell you The Event Horizon Guardian Worth around 60k I know it isn't much but it will do for the first contest untill we get more donations to me. So have fun and don't copy anyone please I have read all the books since daggerfall so nothing there to.

Where do we submit these writings, and can we have more guidelines on what exactly it is that we're writing? Original stories.. or.. what?

Sorry if it's shorter than you wanted, has a weird format, etcetera. I'm on my Droid 4 on vacation, but I have some downtime (and damn do I have an urge to write). The phone part also explains why I'm just going to post here; the signal sucks a** here and I can only post from the window of the room my parents are staying in. So! Now that that's out of the way, here you have a crazy story about Eldanril, her faithful if dead friend Lucien, Sanguine, and some freaking crazy vampires.
"Night Mother have mercy, are you almost done yet?"
"This is a master level lock, it takes patience and a steady hand."
"Patience and a steady hand my spectral a**. If that was the case you would have gotten that door open ten minutes ago."
"Oh shut up. Not everyone is as good as this as you were."
"Then why don't you let the professional do his work?"
Before there was time to protest, Eldanril felt a farmilar, spine tingling chill. It lasted for a few hair raising, spasm inducing moments until he finally settled in, promptly usurping her hands thereafter. In less than a minute of tinkering, the lock slid aside with a light click, and ever so soundlessly the hands pushed open the door wide enough for a slim figure of a woman to fit through.
"And that is how it's done." Lucien's voice echoed smugly through her mind as he relinquished control of her hands, reappearing, silent and victorious, beside her once more.
The elf shot him a sour look, obviously meaning to say she would have gotten it eventually, before dissolving into the room to find her mark. Lucien gilded after her, wearing a crooked grin, a mischievious twinkle flickering in his eyes. He knew he had won this time, regardless of whatever rebuttal she thew at him later.
Inside the room that had been so precariously locked, there was, disappointingly, not much of value. A few septims, an amethyst on the nightstand, and two lockpicks in the drawer. The somewhat wealthy design of the place had hinted at more than that. Eldanril might have been cross, had the contract not provided a large sum for this task. After giving the room another glance to affirm there was nothing else, she turned her attention to the figure in the bed and slowly unsheathed her trusted dagger; the Blade of Woe. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Lucien take his position at the door, ready to silence anyone who happened into the room. With everything in place, she moved to strike.
Her blade was centimeters from its throat when it lunged at her, eyes glowing like hellfire. She rolled to the side to try to avoid it, but this person, this creature, was faster than anything she had encountered. It barreled into her full force, sending her sprawling a few feet away, where she landed, breathless, with a not so graceful thud.
The creature hadn't noticed, however, that it had left its back open to the other deadly assassin in the room. Before it could continue it's battery of his companion, Lucien plunged his shortsword into its heart, twisting the blade for good measure. The thing loosed a deafening screech as it crumpled over, presumably dying.
Eldanril stepped over to the scene of the slaughter, cautious of the balled up form on the ground.
"...Is it dead?" She asked, her voice lowered to a barely audible whisper.
"Any normal being would die from a good stab to the heart...but this isn't any normal being, not that I've seen." Lucien whispered back, nudging the thing with the toe of his shoe.
"Dammit, it's laying on my dagger!" She hissed, gesturing at a portion of the blade poking out from under the form, but hesitant to touch the motionless body after her first attempt.
"Well get it then." Was his exasperated reply.
She paused for a moment, then kicked the body hard as she could without a running start. It skidded forward a bit, enough to expose some of the hilt of the dagger. She reached down and got a firm hold on the hilt, and was in the process of tugging the blade out when the creature bit her arm in a last, desperate attempt.
With a shreik, she tore the blade out from under the thing and let loose a flurry of stabs on it. When the jaws still wouldn't let go of her, she resorted to cutting off its head, then prying the vice-like jaw off her forearm.
"I'm sure it's dead this time." Lucien laughed as he made his way over to the door.
"It better be." the elf muttered to herself. "...I think we have an issue though." She added, this time to her companion as she held up the severed head, and it's teeth, especially the long, white fangs, glinted in the meager traces of light that entered the room.
"Vampires...lovely. I suppose now we know why our contractor paid so highly for this job, eh?" He pointed towards the door. "How about going to find you a cure before we go anywhere else?"
"Sounds wonderful, now let's go before I start melting in sunlight." She sighed, brushing herself off and sheathing the Blade of Woe.
When they emerged from the home, the sky was still mostly dark, save for the smouldering pink stripe of dawn to the east along the tree line. There wasn't a person in sight, and it was a time when the night creatures had gone to rest, but the creatures of the daytime had yet to rise, leaving only a complete stillness in the air, one as if it would suspend time until its spell was broken by a noise.
"We haven't had a moment like this to ourselves since Cyrodil." Eldanril noted quietly as they continued towards the trees.
"I find it pathetic that it's taken us this long to get back something we already had." Lucien pointed out.
"Hey, I got myself tangled up in a nasty freeze trap for two hundred years. What's your excuse?" A Cheshireish smile had crept onto her face as she spoke.
"Oh, I was just a little bit dead. My colleages only skinned me and tore out my lungs." He retorted, giving her a playful elbow in the ribs.
"Tis only a flesh wound, therefore not an excuse." She admonished an a tone of mock irritation, accompanying it with a swat to the back of his head which led into a small war of jabs, flicks, pinches, and pokes that got them both snickering.
"Hey kids, sorry to interrupt your frisky business, but I believe that I have something you're looking for." Chimed a voice from behind the two, causing them both to turn to face the man wearing a simple black robe with the hood up.
"If you're looking to blackmail or pickpocket, you've chosen the wrong woman." Was Eldanril's flat response, her blue eyes staring coolly as her hand rested on the pommel of her blade.
"Oh, no my dear. Not I." Laughed the man. "I merely wanted to offer you a cure for that vampirism if you could do a small favor, it won't take very long, after all."
Eldanril shared a suspicious glance with her companion. "What's the catch to this 'task'? Nothing is ever that simple."
"Well, it could get a little messy, you see. There's a group of vampires that are dampening the spirits of one of my favorite taverns. I need you to find the leader and execute him with this rubber chicken, and as for the rest of the clan...cast this spell and it'll be a sight to see." The man explained as he handed over all the implements for the mission.
"...and what is your name?" 'So that I can hunt you down the second you try to screw me over' she almost added, but held her tounge.
"Sam Guevene's the name, now you kids have a good time, and don't let the vampires get you." He smiled, and with a wave of his hand he had teleported the pair to the front of an old castle fort, presumably where the vampires had holed up.
"He really doesn't leave much choice in anything for someone we could kill in fifteen seconds or less." Lucien grumbled as he analyzed the castle, itching to just sneak in and slit every throat in sight. "Shall we?" The ghost made a sweeping gesture as he stood aside, indicating a drainage grate that looked perfect for the job they were about to do. (AUTHOR NOTE, PLEASE READ: Not going to edit tonight, to worn out., 'll have some good material by tomorrow though, after a good, long night's sleep in my own room. I can finally think and plan my projects freely again, without fear of waking anyone~.)
