Alex had gone to Yin's room first after waking up, having noticed pretty quickly that his bonded was not with the other students that had all appeared at the nurses office. He figured it was just that the other boil had left before Alex had even woken up, though somewhere a voice was telling him that Yin wouldn't have done that without at least waiting for the zomboil to wake up, to make sure that he was safe.

Still, he couldn't really see any other explanation, so to Yin's room he went, intent on finding his boilfriend, on seeing that he was okay and figuring out what to do next, because s**t was still going down and they needed a plan.

Only Yin's room was empty, save for the minipets that lived there. The vaisels, the kittens, Princess Eva...they were all here, but no Yin.

Still, he didn't want to give in to panic. Maybe..maybe Yin had come here, and had left to try and find him. Maybe they had just missed each other. Still, from past experiences Alexander knew it wouldn't do to give into panic. Things like this had happened in the past, where he had tried to find Yin and could not, had started to worry only to find that he had been absolutely safe the whole time. No, he could sit here, and wait, and try to ignore the cold feeling in the pit of his stomach.

A sound on the other side of the door had Alex rising to his feet, taking a shuffling step forward. Finally! He could feel a smile start to break out on his face, but then there was knocking on the door and...wait, Yin wouldn't knock on his own door! The smile slipped away, was about to ask who was there, but then the door was opening, a figure slipping in and speaking.

"Danny?" Alex's voice sounded a little strained, and he had to tell himself again to stop getting worked up. Nothing was wrong. "Yin's..Yin's not here. I haven't seen him since..." He let that sentence trail off.

"Calling him? Like out the window you mean? Danny, Yin doesn't have a phone." He thought that was common knowledge, since the boil almost refused to learn how to use any form of technology.

Wait, Amphi? "I..no..wait, who's Amphi?" He was getting confused now. But that cold feeling was gnawing at him more and more. Was Amphi another student? A friend of Danny's that was also missing?

Okay, so panic mode was definitely starting to set in.

The description was familiar. He had probably seen her around the school a few times without officially meeting her. "I..I think I know who that is maybe. Was she trapped in a net near you? Oh, was she your partner in the adventures class?" Ya, he was starting to recall her a little more clearly now, though without the description he wouldn't have ever figured it out. Really, though, his brain felt like it was made of mush at the moment, trying to piece something together that he wasn't quite sure he was going to like when he was finished.

"Do you want to walk? I think I need to get out of here." His chest was definitely starting to feel tight, and it was probably a good thing he didn't need to breathe because if so he was sure he'd be prone to panic attacks and hyperventilation.

"I can grab my skateboard so I don't slow you down." It was propped over against the wall next to Yin's closet.

A haze, Alex was in a haze. Yin was not the only one missing, it would seem, and the pieces were beginning to take shape as more clicked into place. He nodded mutely at Danny when she told him to stop, even if he could barely hear her over the cacophony of his own thoughts that were roaring in his ears now. The hands she held up got a glance. "I--okay. I don't actually feel so good." His words were slow, as though he was having trouble even speaking now. It was like he couldn't stop himself anymore. The panic he'd been trying so hard to keep from taking over was starting to rise. He felt sick, dizzy, and he stepped backwards away from Danny until the backs of his legs touched the side of the bed, and he sat down.

Silence for a time, and Alex struggled to regain some composure. No, Yin was not missing. He just wasn't...he wasn't captured. He was somewhere on campus, or maybe even just somewhere in Halloween. He might have dissipated and reformed somewhere outside of the school, and was trying to find his way back right now.

As he worked his way through his thoughts, it was Danny's voice again that had him raising his gaze to her from where he was sitting.

"May--maybe they just didn't reform here. Maybe they're somewhere else in Halloween." Giving weak and shaking voice to these new, desperate thoughts. At some point he was going to have to give in though, and face the worst possible scenario.

Yin..and Amphi, whom Alex didn't even know. The hunters might have them. Would admitting that out loud make it more real? Make it worse? He didn't want to have to say it...

"The hunters got them."

She was right. Of course she was. It was the most logical explanation. But..but how!? Yin hadn't been trapped. Alex had just looked at him, just made brief eye contact before the voice had come on over the intercom again, before Medea appeared, and then the hunter with the glowing blue scythe. How had Yin been caught, when nearly everyone else was allowed to dissipate and return? Why him?

His eyes were starting to burn, his throat starting to clench up. But it wasn't what might be expected from the zomboil. He wasn't giving in to despair.

He was giving in to rage.

"I know." His words were strained, his teeth clenched shut, the muscles in his jaw twitching. "You're right. I just didn't want to.." He glanced up at the ghoul. She was opening her arms for him, offering him comfort, and be damned if he wasn't going to take it, even if she could light him up and turn him into a 6'2" undead bonfire. He stood up from the bed and moved forward, wrapping long cool arms around the much hotter ghoul. After all, she might have needed this as much as he did.

"I know. But I refuse to believe that he's..that he's dead or worse." Worse meaning weaponization, of course. "If he is captured, we need to find a way to get him back. Him and your other friend." He sounded sincere in his commitment, his voice gruff. He was keeping things in control, but just barely.

Okay, hugs were nice and all, and he was used to the warm ones that he got from Yin, even if they were few and far in between. But Alex was slightly nervous that if he stayed in Dannys embrace for too long he might actually roast, and burning undead flesh was probably a very unpleasant smell.

"Thank you." He murmured, before pulling away, still managing to keep his emotions in check, mostly by letting his rage push back everything else.

And then silence, again. He wanted to be doing something. There had to be something productive they could be doing right now. "What about the horsemen. Medea...she might know what happened." Was there a way to get in contact with her? As much as Alex mistrusted the horsemen and their motives, he was racking his brain for ideas on what to do next, and that was the first thing he came up with.

"Danny we have to do something. Now." The longer they waited...well, he didn't want to think about what might happen.

His thoughts were still running a mile a minute, his head buzzing. If at any moment Yin walked through that door he was going to feel awfully silly, but the longer the time went without that happening the less likely it seemed as though it would. But then Danny's words cut through him again, his gaze flickering to the door and back to her.

He did not at all like what she had to say.

"So what. We just stand around and do nothing? I can't just do nothing Danny! He's my...he's just..he mean's everything to me! I can't..." The defenses he had built up were crumbling, his anger retreating slightly as he let her words ring in his head.

"He can't die. That won't happen." He was sounding less sure of himself now.

Damnit, Danny!
