Name:Jimmy
Okay lads. Right here guess what. We're going to put the name of our characters. Let's call our character Jimmy for now so we know what we're all talking about. To do this I just write Jimmy next to Name
Race:
Currently only Shinigami are available so for now we'll fill this out as 'Shinigami'. The other races may phase in but let's keep things simple for now.
Squad:
Now our Jimmy lad wasn't the smartest in the bunch and nor was he especially talented at precise fighting. Our Jimmy though he could run at something with a sword. Squad 11 sounds like a good fit to me.
High Concept Aspect: A phrase, word or something that explains our character in a heartbeat. Easy to digest and easy to get a feel for the character. It can be either humorous or serious. It's your choice. For our Squad 11 lad Jimmy we might start with the idea we want him to be good at hitting stuff damn hard. A title like 'Great Beast of the Sereitei" might be good as a start but we could get more creative. I'll leave it there for now though.
After this write a bit about what your High Concept Aspect means. We're not psychic and we can't understand what your phrase means automatically.
Trouble Aspect: The thing your character has trouble with. It could be a force of questionable morality that stalks them, it could be something they did (or had done unto them) in their past or it could be a personality factor. It's basically anything in your character's personality which will affect them throughout the story.
After this expand on it and write what exactly you mean. As always we're not all psychic.
Appearance:
You write about how your character looks here. This should focus on key features (Eye colour, hair colour and style, lack thereof hair, outfit, distinguishing features) first and then possibly move onto more precise features. If you want to write about your character's jawbones for example you're quite welcome to.
As long as we can clearly picture your character this section matters little else.
Personality:
Give us an overview of what to expect from your character overall. This should include aspects of the High Concept Aspect and Trouble Aspect as well as other personality factors to form a complete picture of your character and how the two aspects sit alongside each other.
Character Relations:
You met some guy? If you've got a meaningful relationship with him then write about it here. You met a love interest? Then write about it here. This is the section to go over all your key character relations even if they're with NPCs.
Personal Effects: These are items that are not standard equipment that you keep personally. They could be special pieces of equipment obtained during missions or anything you find lying around. For example if you were to have throwing knives they'd go here. If you were to later obtain special throwing knives for your character then they would also go here.
Essential Equipment: All the essentials. Rations, tents, radios. The stuff which keeps a person going on day to day and stops them from falling over dead.
Unique Items: Special items unique to your character. You got a ring from your character's fiance in the past? You'd put it here. Obtained a trinket from another character. Then it'd go here even if it was previously Personal Effects as it is now a special item from that character.
Your Stories
Background: Where Did You Come From? Write about where you were born, how your character grew up and the most lifechanging events in early years. For example in Batman this might be when Bruce Wayne sees his parents killed in front of him. It could also be something very simple that unlocks new facets or characteristics of that character.
Aspect: Like all other aspects. A quote, set of words, item or anything at all that defines this area of life.
Rising Conflict: What Shaped You? The event which truly shaped your character into what they are today and put them on the path. A good place for this for Shinigami is the Academy though it is possible to use entirely different areas as well. These should be the activating events that lead to both your Trouble and High Aspect in tandem with your 'Where did you come from?' section of the profile.
Aspect: Like all other aspects. A quote, set of words, item or anything at all that defines this area of life.
The Story: What Was Your First Adventure? The first time your character goes on a mission fill this area out. You can wait for the second or third as well but this focuses on the early days when you first start using your character. This should activate early changes in personality and prelude to further character development as they meet new people with new viewpoints.
You can also use this for another story if you like though.
Guest Starring: All your squadmates you went adventuring with in this mission. List them all here.
Aspect: Like all other aspects. A quote, set of words, item or anything at all that defines this area of life.
Here we end this section and move onto the second section of the profile. Now we press submit and make our first post in our profile.
