He waited in silence until a panting senshi returned, the one he managed to stop as they ran down the streets. They seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere, but he could care less about where. What he was hoping was that he could talk to them without all the questions and accusations, and with a bit of charm and a smile, he convinced her to pass on a message. As she raced off, he waited in silence, wondering if he would be here all night till dawn. It was the waiting he didn't like, and would test him just as much as everything else. Luckily, he was blessed with the sound of clacking heels on stone.

The senshi returned, and just her arrival meant he would get an answer. The change of location was predicted and frankly smart. Due to their last and only meeting, he didn't expect anything less.

Noting the location, he moved quickly through the streets of the quiet streets of a quaint district of town, decorated with well-maintained shops and bright displays. There wasn't any neon here. Just street lamps and fragrant, flowering trees tall and slender on either side of the walk.

Arriving, he simply stood in open view and waited with his thoughts and a quick heartbeat. This was going to take a lot of him and he knew it.

She was terrified.

Walking down the street towards the meeting place with Troy and Neso beside her, and joined by Virgo and Capricorn on the way, Chronos was silent. There was a part of her who couldn't help but flash back to dreaded memories. When Charonite captured her and made the Zodiacs come rescue her, when she choked out tears and an apology as she looked into all their faces when they came, and explosion and fire engulfed them all. When Wiseman took the Opal Crystal right from her and they couldn't stop him. When she had been utterly weak and foolish.

And here she was, going to meet someone who she couldn't exactly trust.

But Princess Chronos was stronger now. And she remembered when Allie had been free of Wiseman's control, and had broke down, apologizing to her for helping him steal the Crystal. And she had forgiven Allie, and loved and accepted her. And it was with this memory that the she grasped her staff and walked towards where Endymion was standing with a steel hard gaze.

"It's been a year." She began, halting a distance away from him. "A year since I met you in Elysion, a year since you threw me to Tanzanite, a year since you broke your daughter's heart, Endymion." She had seen how anguished Chibimoon had been to stand with the Senshi and against her father. The very person whom Chronos could not bring herself to call him by his title of Prince. "And now you call to meet me. Why?"

It was nearly impossible for Neso to think badly of someone. He had been at the Surrounding when Endymion threw Chronos to Tanzanite. While others erupted, he had simply assumed it was all some accident, or perhaps a plan that the Prince of Earth had not yet disclosed. Still, despite his best efforts, the Super Senshi of Summer felt a chill rattle him. That almost never happened, not in his season. This was July -- hot, sticky, sunny. It was Neso's most powerful month. If only he could take some of that power and turn it into confidence in battle...

Nonetheless, Neso flanked the side of his Princess, a light smile playing across sun-kissed lips. It was his default state. There would be no reason for him to speak, or move even. Not unless he was doing something in defense of Chronos. His entire purpose was to support her, even if she chose to come to a meeting like this. It would have been better to have more of the soldiers there. Instead, Chronos had him. The idea of that -- Chronos and Neso, together -- never failed to bring happiness to his heart.

In spite of the tension, his smile widened, stance beside the princess still firm.

Troy stood on the opposite side of his Princess, standing tall. Unlike Neso, Troy was largely clueless about the past between Chronos and Endymion, but being largely clueless about something was nothing out of the ordinary for him. He had a lot to learn yet about the history of the war and his general responsibilities, but he was managing at his own slow pace. What he understood was basic: He needed to protect the Princess, and if there was any doubt about her safety, he wasn't going to let that slide.

He stared down Endymion, examining the potential threat. In his time as a Knight, he had seen people dress in quite strange ways - boys dressed in vaudeville drag and girls wearing armor; hell, the Princess next to him had fairy wings and the boy was wearing shorts short enough to be European - and this man was no exception dressed a lost actor of a gothic Shakespearean play. City people were weird, he thought as he waited for the Prince's response.

It had been a year. A year since Elysion, and it was still a very deep mark against him. The mistakes, his presentation, had been lined with mistakes, all of which he could list with a deep red marker. He strove for perfection, but this had been his first full fledged, all out battle. London hadn't had the sort of commotion Destiny City did, and he had been taken off guard.

It had been a year, but a year was a good time. If he had done this too soon, it would look as if he hadn't thought hard about his actions. Much longer and he pushed on not caring or his apology being too delayed. Too late.

He had been quiet for a year. Meeting senshi and knights alike one by one.

It had been a year, and yet he was here before a power that could threaten his existence and his plans.

There was a lot riding on this very meeting.

Regarding the guards, he slowly set to un-latching his hilt and sword from his belt. "One year ago, when I was still recently awakened, I was called to the heart of a planet I had just realized I was sworn to protect. Despite this, I felt an intense urge to protect this planet, my home, and that there was a great danger if I did not do this duty. That if someone took a power, a Crystal, that protected my very planet, that all would be lost. When I arrived at Elysion, you could imagine my surprise to see an all out war taking place before my very eyes, and the Crystal, a power that I felt connected to despite never setting eyes upon it until now, calling to me. I was called for the purpose, in the heart of a place that I had never set foot upon in this life yet strangely knew it's turns and hallways, to the heart of my planet. I was called to protect it."

He reached down, unclasping the strap that held his hilt to his belt, and examined it. It was a simple broadsword, set in a black, detailed hilt. Holding it in both hands, he looked to those present, but most of all, he looked to Chronos. "I was awoken to protect my planet, but I did not have all my memories. What I did know was that I was called to protect, and when I saw my daughter as well, along with the Crystal sworn as my birthright, I knew I had to keep them safe."

Touching the hilt, he breathed deep. "Like many things, knowledge is always more powerful than physical force. Than weapons. That a mistake drives more deeply than a blade." He tossed the sword at them, letting it slide to stop at her feet.To this, he rose his arms up to show he was unarmed. "When I came to Elysion, I had made a mistake in the rush of battle and my desperate desire to protect my planet from destruction. To protect those dear to me. It was that mistake that had delayed me this whole time from meeting you now. I came into a situation because I did not have most of my memories and did not know the situation. In this time, I have talked to several senshi and knights. I have caused them no hard, just as I do not wish to cause you harm now.I wanted to know the truth, as I thought I knew it upon first glance, but one can never know something at a glance. I only saw members that I assumed were my knights fighting a group of senshi surrounding the Crystal. When I was called, I was given nothing but my fragmented memories to aid me, and I made a mistake. A grave one. So, I waited, I investigated, and I watched to make sure I did not commit a grave error again."

His raised hands lowered, one pulling his cape back and the other resting to his chest, as he swept into a bow. "Princess Chronos. I wish to give you my most humblest apologies for throwing you in the ring of fire and suspecting you as my enemy. I simply wished to do as I was called, and to protect my planet - and my daughter. I thought the worst, and it was my own ignorance and hot-headedness that had me rushing into the battle without knowing the situation. For this, I am greatly sorry."

There was a truth in his words she could understand. He had his Earth and the Golden Crystal, and she had the Surrounding and the Opal Crystal. Cerise eyes observed him, tensing as his hands went to his sword, her fingers clasped together, ready to call upon her Crystal's power at any time. And yet, he laid down his weapon and knelt at her feet, offering his apology.

She did not know what to think of it, but the pink wings upon her back disappeared as she relegated back into Sailor Chronos.

It was true that her Princess form looked, and was much more formidable, and Chronos had meant to use it to point out to him that she would not be messed with. But it also came as a price; the energy signature was like a beacon in the night, calling out to those who might attempt to harm her. And she didn't particularly want anyone to interrupt this meeting, not when she was trying to decide if his words could be trusted.

While she gazed down at him and contemplated his apology, the hairs on the back of her neck prickled. Something felt strange, no, it was strange.

The energy signature.

She could recall Prince Eon's being different, almost the same level as hers, but not quite. And yet, the man before her who claimed to be Prince Endymion did not give off the same vibe. It was not overwhelming, like Charonite's, but Chronos had enough encounters with Chaos to know.

"You are touched by Chaos." She realized. Had this been the cause of his actions? But if it was, why had Tanzanite attempted to kill him? And why then, hadn't Tanzanite... Chronos didn't understand what it meant, but she took no chances, removing the tiara from her forehead; the very weapon that had saved his life a year ago, and pointed it at Endymion. "I don't know if I can believe your words when you have been touched by Chaos."

But if he had been corrupted against his will, like how Allie had been, could she purify him? It had been a topic brought up earlier on in the meeting, and as she had stated before, she had only experience in purifying her own Court, which was a much easier task.

Prince Endymion's story sounded perfectly reasonable to Neso, though most things did. He was more than happy to hug it out with him and then head off for a couple of beers. Chronos, though, was not so trusting. She noticed something that slipped the short attention span of the Senshi of Summer -- a Chaos aura. Bright blue eyes flickered once to Chronos and then back to Endymion. Was he corrupted? The question made Neso's head hurt. He focused, instead, on the calming, power-charged summer air all around him.

Endymion's speech were lost words on Troy's ears. That wasn't Endymion's fault - if a story isn't told like a Dr. Seuss book complete with pictures, chances are that Troy wouldn't understand it. He got the vibe that Endymion was apologizing for something - apparently he had thrown Chronos into a "ring of fire" which sounded pretty painful and mean, but Chronos didn't look to be burned! - because he was under orders to do so. But orders from who? The Negayverse? Run-D.M.C.? He was suspicious and adjusted his stance, ready to charge and attack at Chronos's word.

She had made no moves against him thus far, and he counted his blessing. Still kneeling, he heard her pick up on his aura, and he accounted for that much. "I have been told so." He said. It would be stupid to say he didn't know after visiting both knights and senshi, and discredit his statement. "..but as you saw in Elysion, I am nothing but a traitor to that side. They have....lost the order of being a knight, and I deeply regret that it has come to the point they cannot see their own Prince. That they had tried to kill me under the title of a Betrayer." He cringed at that word, and whispered. "My very own citizens." He was nothing to them, and that stung most of all.

As he looked up to her, he noticed she had removed her tiara. "What do you plan to do with that? Would you strike an unarmed man on his knees?"

The situation was tense. He wasn't prepared for an attack, and was very aware of how vulnerable he was. The meeting was tense as it was, but there was multiple worries. Not only physical harm, but of being purified by a Princess as he had been warned. Above all things, he could not let that happen.

That was when the worst possible situation could have happened, and as a far off battle rang out, and the masking shield of the guardian cats dropped, that even Endymion shot his head to look at a surge of mingling powers further off. For once, he was honestly confused, and his wide eyes looked out to the distance as if he just heard a cat get hit by a organ and couldnt' exactly figure out what noise it was. "Wha....?"

Oh so eloquently put for a prince.

"I am tired of being tricked." Chronos said wearily, letting go of her tiara, which reappeared on her forehead before even reaching the ground. Still, he was right. She would not hit an unarmed man, even if she was wary of him. What was the aura of Chaos doing around him then, if he wasn't exactly working with the Negaverse? But there had been Wiseman too, and his corruption of Chibimoon, and they hadn't exactly worked together...

The Princess of Zodiacs did not know what to think, and it was another overwhelming aura and Endymion's reaction that made her glance to that direction, eyes widening in horror. That was where the Senshi meeting was. And to confirm her worst fears, her Senshi phone pinged, twice, as she received messages reporting the situation from both Aquarius and Flora.

"Meerng undrr attxk. Syay awat. Damger."

"chaos here lots of smoke r u ok"

"No." She whispered, hand clenching the phone. Had this been a trick? To lure her away? But Endymion too, had seemed shocked by it, as if he hadn't known. Did smoke mean Ares was there? Chronos could only swallow back a lump in her throat and address those who had accompanied her. "They say the meeting has been attacked. By Ares, presumably." Cerise eyes flashed in Endymion's direction, and she took a deep breath before speaking, before her suspicion and anger got the better of her.

"Chibimoon is in there." She told him, dread filling her entire body. Along with those of her court, along with another Princess, along with countless senshi and guardian cats. "Your daughter is in there, and they are being attacked. By a bloodthirsty maniacal Princess of the Dark Moon Court called Ares, most probably accompanied by the Negaverse. The very same people who tried to invade the Surrounding months ago. What will you do, Endymion?" She took a step backwards, almost wanting to break into a run and go to their aid.

But there was unfinished business here.

Endymion was just as surprised as everyone else present. He didn't know there even was a meeting of senshi, but why would he? It had been a quick discovery that the Negaverse acted upon, and due to his own mission, he wasn't alerted as much as the others. As for Ares, he had no idea who she was. A downside of not really talking to your superiors other than beryl, who tended to not want to talk to anyone, let alone him.

However, this Princess was working with the Negaverse, and they were attacking senshi when he was having a meeting with one of their Princesses. Realization didn't take long as to how badly this looked. Even worse, this Princess was attacking a place where Chibimoon was. The one person he had to keep alive. Without her, all his plans were ruined.

"No." He couldn't let her die. "Not her."

Face paling, he rose up, moving to her to pick up his sword from the ground as Chronos had stepped back. "Where is this meeting? Where is she?!" He had to get there and stop this Princess from screwing up all his plans. Did they just NOT get the memo that he was doing important, Earth-changing business here?!!!

Keep calm. "Show me where the meeting is being held. I need to keep her safe."

The sudden blinding flash of auras back the way that they had came also stirred in Neso. His pulse quickened, palms sweaty. Battles always made him nervous. "Princess, we should get you to a safe place," he said, extending a hand to her. If Ares was there, he didn't want to send her into danger -- especially if he was one of her main protectors. Neso's record of battle success was not particularly long.

The Super Senshi of Summer had no idea what to make of Endymion. He tended to believe most everybody, all the time. If Endymion said he was confused, then Neso believed him. If Chronos told him not to believe him, then Neso wouldn't. For him, it was as simple as that.

It was immensely confusing.

On one hand, she couldn't exactly trust him because of the aura surrounding him belonging to the force that she had been fighting against for two lifetimes. On the another, he was Chibimoon's father, one Allie had acknowledged. And he did indeed seem anxious that she be safe, emotions that Chronos understood. Swallowing down a lump in her throat, she made a decision.

"Alright." She told Endymion, her eyes narrowing slightly. "But if you try anything..." I'm watching you. Chronos did not trust him, just yet.

The Princess breathed out a sigh, and turned towards Neso. "But we need to make sure that..." She was cut off by loud police sirens wailing from a distance, from where they had sensed the group of auras, where the meeting was, and where all the auras started disappearing.

"They're... gone." She whispered, the realization sinking in. She knew it was dangerous there, with the police milling about, but her feet did not listen and started taking slow steps towards the meeting place. Even if the battle was over, they had no clue as to what exactly had happened, and if the Senshi and Knights there were alright. Would it have been better if she had been there? If she had postponed this very meeting... Her phone beeped then, stopping her in her tracks.

"we're fine now! WE ARE ON THE MOON!! is everything ok with you?"

Upon reading this, Chronos breathed out a sigh of relief, shoulders relaxing. "Flora says they're fine and they're..." A glance towards Endymion. "Somewhere safe." It would certainly be quite unwise to announce to someone she didn't quite trust that the Senshi had somehow made their way to the Moon. "We're fine." She texted back.

"We should go." She decided, taking Neso's hand. "The police are nearby and we shouldn't risk getting caught. Chibimoon should be safe now, along with the others."
PostPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2012 10:28 am

He didn't like sirens as much as the next person, but hearing them only meant things were becoming increasingly messy. Teleporting anywhere would be a bad mistake, and he moved with Chronos to race in that direction and hope that the senshi were evading the police, especially his daughter.

However, just like that, another text was sent and Chronos stopped, making him pause a few feet away from her. They were safe somewhere. The somewhere was noted. Distrust, most likely thicker now due to the string of events that had played out tonight at no fault of his own. Still, Chronos had stopped to show that wherever they were, it was secure from everyone else, and that racing to the police in their current garb would be a mistake.

At least Chibimoon was safe.

He also breathed a sigh of relief at this, and then noticed that Chronos was done here. Giving a curt nod, he remained where he was. "Thank you, for telling me." He avoided the current topic of the Negaverse ambush. Saying anything could only be incriminating.

Looking directly at the princess, he only had one last thing left to ask. "This Ares. What does this princess look like?" He had to know.

The moment the auras were felt, chills shot up his spine. He remembered - one of the few things he understood about his responsibilities as a Page - that when powered up he could sense people's alignment through their aura, and he hadn't felt that many auras in such a concentrated albeit distant area since the Surrounding. That was not an experience he would want to live through twice, so as thankful as he was that he was not there, even his simple mind wondered if this "Prince" had called Chronos out as a diversion. He had some loose friends and allies who were still in that meeting and he worried what would happen to them - how responsible he would be if something bad were to happen.

The Prince seemed just as surprised as everyone else, but something still did not feel right about it and he stood idly waiting for Chronos's word to attack, putting all of his focus into restraining his short temper. Only Chronos finally received word of safety from the others was he able to relax.

"Shoot," he whispered to Chronos and Neso. "I almost punched the feller's nose in."
