It had taken a few days, but Taima thought she'd finally tracked down the chimera ghoul whose bag she'd gotten in Professor Darcy's class. She hadn't been so lucky as to see her on campus, but they lived in the same dorm; asking around about her had gotten Taima the chimera's room number. She stood just outside it, pen and paper in hand, and double-checked the number before knocking firmly on the door. She hoped the ghoul was in--she had finished the worksheet she'd gotten in class, except for this bit of extra credit.

Taryn perked from her homework, eyes wide. Who in Halloween was coming to see her now? She eyed the clock, decided it wasn't too odd a time, and got up to answer the door. As she passed Windham, he woke and watched her go. The ghoul opened the door only so far as she had to to see who was outside and-- ah. She recognized this ghoul from class... and she had a pen and paper. Maybe she wanted to study? Opening the door only a fraction further, Taryn smiled.
"Can I help you?"

Taima grinned back, relieved that she had found the right room. The due date was drawing nearer, and Taima didn't have time to go on another wild ghoul chase. "Yeah, hey, I don't know if you remember me or not, but we were in Professor Darcy's class together--the one with the bags? I got your bag, and I'm supposed to ask you about the things in it for the bonus question." She held up her pen and paper for emphasis. "Are you free now?"

"Oh! Absolutely, come on in," Taryn nodded. She finally pushed the door open fully and stepped back to allow the other ghoul to enter. Her room was fastidiously organized, but perhaps a bit more decorated than in the past. Windham, a cycorgi, leaped from his bed to come and sniff at the new ghoul's ankles as she entered.
"I haven't been able to get in touch with the ghoul whose bad I had, unfortunately," Taryn sighed. Maybe it would make due to look through the student database to get a smidge more information. It certainly would have been easier if a yearbook was out, although she had asked here and there and seemed to get a fairly decent idea.

"Thanks," Taima said, stepping inside and shutting the door behind her. She looked around the neat and sparingly decorated dorm, fighting the urge to draw further conclusions about the room's occupant--that was outside of the parameters of the assignment, and she wanted to turn in an accurate report. She bent down to pet the cycorgi instead. "Cute dog," she commented, scratching between his ears before straightening. "Yeah? That sucks," Taima said with a shrug. "Which building is she in? You should try asking around there; that's how I found you." And that would be the extent of her advice on that matter, as the next words out of her mouth were, "Anyway. Shall we begin?"

"I believe she was a reaper," Taryn nodded. Windham reacted to the scratch with a happy nub-wag and followed the new ghoul as she entered further.
"Sure, feel free to make yourself at home," the chimera offered, going to move her books before sitting primly on her couch. She wasn't sure just how long this was going to take, but there was no use being uncomfortable and overly formal with it all. "If I'd known you were coming I would have made something..."

"Oh, it's okay," Taima said as she sat at one end of the couch. "I didn't exactly call ahead." She settled her notebook in her lap, making a few initial notes before looking up at the chimera. "Let's start with an easy question: what's your name? I never got it," she admitted sheepishly.

"Taryn," the chimera ghoul nodded, offering a little smile, "T-a-r-y-n." She hoped that this new ghoul would offer her name as well, but she would understand if it was left out. She didn't need it, after all.

Social niceties were for other people. Taima had been content to exchange pleasantries while she had determined that this was, in fact, the person she was looking for, but now there was work to be done. Progress would be made; the rest could come later. "Okay, Taryn," she replied, looking at her paper long enough to write the ghoul's name down before refocusing her attention on the chimera, "what did the things that you put in your bag mean to you?"
