User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Gloaming by lamplight was remarkably lively, but not very moral. The streets glowed with a reflection from taverns, and a glance within showed floors crowded with dancers, the brightly dressed women striving to hide with ribbons and paint the terrible lines that marked the ages and injuries. To the music of violins and the stamping of feet the dance went on, and it could be seen in the giddy maze, old men who must have been pirouetting on the very edge of their graves. The bandits that ruled the town seemed to roost on every corner and in every cantina, watching with evil eyes. Even the building themselves seemed to cringe at the lack of law, as fighting often broke out in the streets. The fights usually let one or more men dead, or at least wishing for death.

It is here that many woke without memory, trying to do what they could just to survive. Most didn't make it, cut down by the very brigands that called themselves the masters of this city.

A crossroads of the worlds, travelers could find anything they needed, so long as they had cash, or muscle.

Yuffie came to her senses on her feet, walking to who knows where...Not that she knew where she was right then either. The reaction was a sharp gasp and abrupt movement that pressed her back against a stone wall. A few passerby's gave the young ninja an odd look but kept moving, ignoring her for the most part.

Brown eyes darted back and forth as Yuffie struggled to put the pieces together, but she was finding little more than her name in her memories. She felt that she was missing someone or something, and that she had to find it. It was so important, but... Finally the girl peeled herself from the wall and shook her head, forcing herself to get a grip. The area didn't look safe, and last thing she needed was-

A hand fell on Yuffie's shoulder as she was lost in thought,"Hey there girly, you look lost. I think you should come with me." Grimy teeth grinned from a pock-marked face on a man gripping a short sword.

Yuffie twisted in the man's grip, easily more agile, and brought her shuriken up to slice across the man's face. He recoiled at the sudden attack and decided to find easier prey, leaving Yuffie to shake slightly. She had to fins shelter... A quick look around brought her eyes to a sign with a wing on it...seemed familiar somehow....no matter. So she headed toward the 'Heaven's Door'.

Bright hue of crimson glinted off her midnight orbs as the young woman scanned her surroundings, waiting for someone familiar to pop in her line of vision. Yet…Nothing. Sharp line of tension hovered over her lips as luscious, dark locks swayed with her every movement, giving away the clear indication she was lost and had absolutely no idea where she was heading towards. Recollecting recent memories was like throwing punches in the fog, which had the young maiden pout in a discreet manner while cautiously walking down the street. Something about this whole area brought nervous chills up her spine, “Well, Tifa, it could be worse.” Ever the optimistic one, hm?

“Hey there girly, you look lost. I think you should come with me.” That did not sound right, at all.

Instinct knocked Tifa to be edgy, shifting her gaze left to right, searching for the poor victim who was being preyed upon.

There!

A petite, short haired youth caught her eyes, forcing Tifa to halt and hide behind a building. Mental images of balls came forth, which made Tifa tilt her head in confusion, wondering how that was even relevant to the current situation.“Well-“ The young girl took care of that shady individual quite nicely, and soon he was back in the shadows, lurking.

“Hm,” A whisper of a sigh broke through her lips, noting on relief. “At least she’s safe. Ah?” Tifa silently observed the other’s movements, watching her incline her head to meet a sign, staring at it for a moment before directing herself to a building.

Where is she headed?

Heaven’s Door.

“Heaven…why do I have the feeling that---No, Tifa~ Now is not the time.”

Sounds of glasses clinking together, chunks of ice melting into the sweet amber fluid, fingers and hands touching the cool object, and laughter filling the air ripped into her mind, shoving the brawler up against the wall with tremendous emotion that she could hardly grasp at.
Breathe~

There were people watching her, most that consisted of unwanted attention. Fingers twitched erratically as they seized the surface of the wall she planted herself against to push herself off, and properly stand up to briskly walk after the petite youth.

Call out or not?

Best not to….

The shadows were more welcoming than the streets themselves to the young man who currently stayed out of the light that was cast down from the street lamps. His mako eyes darted around the area, the only thing giving away that he was unsure what was going on was the fact his muscles were so tense. He only really knew two things at the moment... His name and the fact that he had to find two others... two others... Why couldn't he recall their names? They were very close to him, he knew that much, but how? The silverette closed his eyes for a moment, trying to get a grip on what was going on before reopening them to look around once more, his pupils thinning to slits.

It didn't take long before he had heard the sounds of a small struggle, which caused the man to go check it out to find that it was a young woman who had been approached by an older man... Then again he had only got there right as the culprit was making his escape.. Not that it really mattered to him considering he hadn't planned on helping her if he had got there in time. No, the remnant was only curious about what was going on near him, hoping that it could have shed some light on the situation, and yet the only thing that it told him was it appeared the young woman was in the same situation he was in...

Interesting... Maybe I should keep an eye on her...

The silverette's attention turned quickly to another presence as soon as he had noticed it... Another young woman? He closed his eyes for a moment, wondering if she too was in his situation. Maybe there were many more in their condition, roaming this area with very little memories... He had to search for answers on who he was looking for and why he was here to begin with, then he would be able to continue what he had been doing before... what he had been... What was I doing anyway?

Masamune looked around as he walked in a direction. His lilac eyes scanned the world he was in as he frowned. He had woken up in an alley wondering how he got there but didn't remember. The only thing he could remember was his own name and the sense of finding someone he was close to.

"Like I can find someone here I know....." Sighing deeply as he kept walking, a few other people walking passed him glanced at the silver hair that he had. He stopped as his ears picked up a few noises that were out of place. "What......?" The silver haired walked a bit faster as he stopped.

First he saw a young black haired woman run out from an alley and into some building, then next he saw an older brunette woman following her a bit later. His lilac eye's widen as he saw several images of some kind of memory containing the woman. Shaking his head afterwards, he rubbed his head gently. "What was that? Huh?"

Glancing over, he saw another silver haired being as he tilted his head then looked back to where he last saw the other two ladies. "This has been a very weird day so far........"

The creak of leather and the rustle of sackcloth was the only comment given by the man shrouded in a heavy traveling cloak as he navigated the streets in near silence, eyes like none possessed by any human peering from the recesses of the dark cowl to take in the surroundings. This place was not within his limited memory. This was someplace new. It intrigued him to find someplace entirely alien to him after all this time, and yet even though he had never set foot here before, he felt a strange sense of nostalgia, as if this place was once his home. Perhaps this had to do with those memories still locked away from him, shrouded in the shadows of the mind as he was shrouded from sight by the heavy sackcloth cloak. He allowed his boots to make sound on the streets as he approached the sound of voices, the rhythmic thump of boot heels acting as a herald to his presence.

Something will happen. Something important. What it is, I am not sure, but whatever it is... I will be prepared.

The Black Caped Man stepped from the back alleyway into the open and towards the path of destiny.

Tidus woke up on the ground and heard small voices all around him he sat up and said, "Where the hell am I, and why can't I remember anything except my name?" He stood up and looked around. He noticed a small tavern near where he had landed. "Maybe I can go there for some answers." Tidus walked over to the tavern and walked in.

A young man awoke to find himself laying face down on the stone cold sidewalk, his wrist ached as if he had broke his fall with it. "Ugh..." Came a low grunt from the man's throat as he sat up "My wrist... Why does it hurt?" He then blinked a few times as he looked around, only to realized that he had no idea where he had ended up "And where am I?"

The wanderer got to his feet in order to explore the area around him, noticing that a few people were headed into the tavern, and as welcoming as it seemed at first, a little red flag sprung up as he approached. Even from out here in the street he could smell the thick stench of alcohol and body odor... but no matter. He had no idea where he was or what happened, so he needed answers... Unfortunately it seemed that the best place to get them was in there.

Can't chicken out now.
