Today would be a different one, he knew it. Scanning the scene of his home, he had wondered why he had even attempted to search for Nasu. Nasu.. he one he was responsible for. Where could he have gone? Simplyy just disappeared. No other in the herd knew about his whereabouts, and even his other brother was missing. Odd. Strange.
That didn't matter much to him though. Ever since he was gone, Voltaire had recieved what he wanted. Others fearing him. Some started a rumor that the blue stallion not only killed, but ate the two brothers, enjoying every taste of their meat and blood, just leaving the bones behind. That rumor was hilarious. Why would he do that to maybe one of his only friends?
All that mattered was that he was feared, especially because of his horns and largeness. No one dared to disrespect him, and he was bound to be called "Seven" of the Six ever asked for his assistance.

Avalanche walked up the hill feeling proud of himself. He had found a cave for Jeppe to live in while he nourished the miracle of life that had started between the two of them. Now he was off recruiting. He was tired but felt fulfilled. Today would be a good day. Hopefully this herd would have much promise. All he had heard told him this was so. So when he came in view of the herd he called out. "Hail! Who here is loyal to the six?" A few heads came up including that of a well decorated blue stallion. He was powerfully built and looked like he knew his way around a fight. Hopefully the big brute would come peacefully. Dare to dream.

His train of thought was broken. Narrowing his eyes staring at the newcomer, he stepped forth. Thank goodness he had sharpened his horns yesterday! Whatever azrein came through the lands whom he did not know was either too stupid to know not to enter, searching to join, or simply looking for a fight. He carried a grin of confidence.. and full of himself.
"Why would you question that? Are you yourself loyal to the Six themself? Best not to just say yes here because he knew that some in the badlands did not, just like Nasu. He knew by the look of him, he would rather talk than give a fight. That was just fine with him.

"I am Avalanche. I am just under the six. As high as one can get so yes I would say I am loyal. Why so offensive friend? You seem..tense. Where is the alpha mare? Perhaps I should talk to her instead." Avalanche wished his mate Jeppe were there. He could tear this stallion in two if he so wished. And conviniently Jeppe's coat looked just like blood already. Whearas Avalanche would get rather dirty.

He laughed. Thank goodness he was on his side! Well, not so much, but still they had one thing in common. "A lead mare? Please. My little band does not consist of a lead mare. Just myself." he snorted. Walking around this stallion gave him an odd feeling. Something was wrong here, but what? Oh yes, the fear.
"Avalanche. What a name for a brave stallion, or maybe a naive one. Anyways, I'm Voltaire." He smiled a toothy one. "You look like you don't belong here though. Why not run home to where you belong?"

Avalanche lifted his head a touch. His eyes flashed. "Where my path leads is none of your concern. It is matters above your horned head. The point is there is a war coming. And if you are not with us you are against us. And that cannot be tolerated."
Avalanche looked Voltaire straight in the eye. A powerful stallion but yes naive as he accused Avalanche of being. Avalanche flicked one ear back, keeping the other trained on the blue stallion.

Uneasy, he broke away from his stare. "Baw! The war! There's really nothing to worry about. We shall receive victory and take the throne! The Six shall rise over the goody-goods once and for all." He smirked. "I.. I do have one certain mare that I have been planning to kill in the war though. What a good waste of a horribly disgusting life."
He shook. "Don't even get me started about them and their. what's it called? Oh yes.. Human companions."

"The war itself is nothing to snivel about Blue One. In everything there is balance they may overcome us, they have the numbers if not the brute force of some of our own. Which mare do you speak of? Perhaps I have heard of her. And on humans I can agree with you. They are so wrong!"

His ears flattened. Was this stallion kidding? Did he just doubt the powers of evil? "Look kid," he snorted, avoiding harming Avalanche. "Around here, its best not to say that the other side 'may overcome us'. You're quite lucky to meet me on my good day, because I awfully can not stand those not having enough faith in our forces." Sighing, he muttered, "A mare full of purple with green flowing hair. Her mate," he snorted once again, "has lost his ways and is becoming as soft as one of them. Filled with love for the other kind."

He hated the fact that he had just lost this simply battle of words. Refusing to reply, he took a short walk, circles around Avalanche, wondering what the stallion would do.

Avalanches lip curled. This was a threat display and Voltaire darn well knew it too. His ears flattened down on his head and he snarled at the big arrogant beast that dared test him so. Avalanche had been living close to his Jeppe for so long he had gotten slightly unused to the pure rage that so rarely reared its dragon head within him. He growled deep in his chest. But stood there, waiting for the moment that would catalyse the battle that was sure to come soon.

The kind of stupid stallion continued his little stroll, eyes locked on his enemy. Many things to dislike about him already. No one made a fool of Voltaire! Smiling, he noticed the obvious tension between the two, but was unaware of how excellent of a fighter Avalanche was compared to him. Finally coming to a stop, he blinked, rearing himself up.
