Satoru woke up to the sound of Ayuki cooking breakfast, his cold, sharp blue eyes opening slowly as he sat up, looking to his side and rubbing his hands through his blue hair as he started patting on the sheets where she lay last night to find his sister not there as he heard the sound of a frying object in the kitchen, probably his sister cooking again as he stood up from his bed, looking out the window to find the day shining as always even in this side of the city, the sun shining in this dark desolate place as he remembered the dream he had as he slept, the scene when Ayuki died replaying in his mind, that horrible scene where his sister had to die like that as she called to him from the kitchen, snapping him from his thought as he stared from the window. "Satoru," Ayuki called as she fried eggs, "I've already taken a shower, you can go ahead now, I'm cooking breakfast at the moment." Satoru looked over to his sister covered in her blue wardrobe as he sighed in relief since the dream had given him the thought that she'd died as he took a shower, the cold water trickling down his back. He was now the Leader of the Rebels, time went by so fast. . . First he was a small child struggling to live his life with his sister. . .Then he was a monk in training after finding out about Shikibane as he went home from work in his High School Life. . . .Then that horrible moment when his sister died, which truly scarred him since, even though he was the type who wouldn't care about anything, he truly cared about his sister. . . . Then the moment when she came back and was tied up like an animal and how he struggled as he agreed for her to become a Shikibane Hime. . . .Then the times when he worked with other monks with his sister and how horrible she felt when she killed. . .and then finding out the truth and before you knew it, leaving because he found that place to be annoying as he sighed, wondering how their life would end and how Ayuki would end up with him as he continued his reflecting shower.
Ayuki was cooking eggs and bacon in the kitchen as he smiled when her brother woke up. She was glad that he was there with her as he came out, her hearing him sitting down on the table as she smiled and turned around to him with her pretty face and her kind eyes. "Good Morning." she said kindly and cutely, hoping to lift her brother's spirits as he replied with only a nod, his cold tough self taking over as she turned back around, feeling disappointed at the thought of not really cheering him up------well, she has never been able to ever since they were little because her brother has always been like this. . .cold and distant. . .which was the reason she became a Shikibane Hime in hopes of making him feel happy and smile as Ayuki finished cooking the breakfast and set it down in front of him, 2 eggs and some bacon put in an amusing happy face as Satoru saw this and looked up, seeing his sister look to the side like she did, hoping that at least this would start his day as she sat in front of him, hoping to see him eat. "Thank you," he said coldly and usually as he ate, making Ayuki look up since she has never really heard him say that as her hands were on her lap clasped together, "Thank you for the food Ayuki." Satoru looked up at her with kind and caring eyes even though they still emanated a cold aura as she smiled happily, glad that he seemed better than he usually was as she waited for him to finish his breakfast since she already eaten hers. Afterward, they would proceed to their office and start working on their utopia as she smiled, holding no regrets of joining him in his journey after betraying the monks. . .her friends. . the people who cared about them. But in her heart, she knew that she had to follow her brother as she looked at him thinking that he was a good man----someone whom she would follow to the very end.
After they had finished eating breakfast, Ayuki had stood up and waited by the door for Satoru, holding his coat for him as he walked up to her after washing the dishes, something that he has always done every morning. Ayuki did this always as well as she held the coat to her face, smelling the smell of her brother, a very good smell as she thought, the smell that wrapped around her before when she was alive as a child when her brother would take her in his arms and just hold her as he would to make her feel better as she snapped out of it when her brother came and looked at her with his cold eyes, wondering what she was doing. Ayuki blushed a little as he stared and cleared her throat, running to her brother and wrapping his coat around him like always, Satoru putting it on as he sighed, thinking that some things like Ayuki's childness would never change, which was something Satoru kind of admired of Ayuki as he looked behind him to see her smile up at him. "Let's go," he said as he opened the door for Ayuki, letting her enter first as she did, "We have a busy day ahead of us." He also walked out and came to his sister's smiling face as she replied with the words, "I know.". . . Now they were off to the Main Building in the part of this city that they claimed to work and maybe be prepared for an attack.
