Every time he got the chance to come to Camphoreon, before going anywhere in the city, he had to stop and sniff the air. To him there was nothing better than the breeze blowing off the sea, the smell of the salt water. The desert was nice, but sometimes he just wanted to be near the sea.
Rory shook his head and took one more deep breath before heading further into the city. He wondered around looking in the shop windows for a while before finally going into the specialty shop. He pulled a list from his pocket and started browsing the shelves.

Though Dove was new to the town, shopping certainly wasn't anything new to the young model. She wandered the street, glancing every so often into stores through their windows, stopping every time something caught her eye.
She tucked her hair back from her face as she paused yet again before a simple window display. "What do you think, Lovey? Think we should try this one?" she asked the small eevee as it shifted in the bag she had thrown across her back.
The eevee yipped in response.
"In we go, then." The trainer pushed open the door and headed inside in search of something new.

As Rory skimmed the aisles, looking for the items he came to get, he found a basket to put the few things he had already grabbed in to free up his hands. He looked back at his list and looked at the shelf he was in front of to see if he needed anything.
Not seeing anything he needed, he went on to explore another aisle. So far he had found Pinkie's treats and some that he thought Cosmos would like. Maybe he should get some to try to lure that Charmander he had seen at the party? Then again the pokemon had probably moved on already to a different area.
Deciding to get some treats for it anyway, after all they could always be given to other pokemon, he grabbed a pack off of the shelf and walked on as he read the back of the package instead of looking where he was walking.

Dove strode through the aisles, casually picking up things at random and showing them to Lovey. The eevee yipped calmly at each thing her trainer showed her, content with the young woman's leisurely way of shopping.
The young woman looked down to the small pokemon in her bag. "Why don't we look for a new bow for you, hm?" She laughed as the eevee squirmed around in happiness. "Maybe one in a different color this time, since we're on break..."
The eevee yipped up at her once more, then leapt out of the bag she was being carried in, taking off for the next row. Dove quickly followed, stopping only just in time to see her pokemon crash into a young man's legs.
"Lovey, be careful!" she scolded, scooping the eevee up, before she addressed the boy. "I'm so sorry about that... She gets excited about new accessories..."

Rory felt a light, furry weight hit his leg and looked down to see a small Eevee staring up at him until someone, who he presumed was its trainer, picked it up.
"It's fine," It's not like the little ball of fur could have done much damage.
He looked at the girl that had picked the Eevee up. Accessories huh? He remembered Pinkie's excitement when it came to getting dressed up. All of the accessories he had for her had been left in Kanto.
"It's okay." He replied again and looked around the shelves. "Though I don't think this is the aisle she's looking for. Unless she's hungry." Most of the items on the shelves were bags of different pokemon food and treats.

Dove laughed, embarrassed. "Well... Lovey gets her 'wonderful' sense of direction from me, so I'm not too surprised she's here..."she admitted, holding the now squirming eevee close to her chest. The trainer herself was horrid at navigating by her own skill, used to letting others lead her. Even when she had travelled in her past, she had let her companion lead her on.
She glanced around at the shelves, stopping at one small bin in particular. "Then again, there are dried pecha berries here. She might have been coming after these. They're her favorite."
She peeked at the young man again. "I'm Dove by the way,"she smiled, shifting her hold on the eevee to extend a free hand for him to shake.

Rory chuckled slightly. Thankfully he had never been directionally challenged; it would have made his time in Kanto a lot worse than it had been. He grinned at the squirming pokemon, "Looks like she's gonna rebel if she doesn't get them. I know how it is when they really want their favorite snack."
Granted he didn't get nearly trampled anymore since he was a lot taller than Pinkie, but it still wasn't very fun to have a hungry, fire horse charging at you. When she introduced herself, Rory looked at her hand and tried to remember if he had seen her around the base at anytime. Then again she didn't seem to have the same attitude as a typical Rocket.
His heart beat a little rapidly. The last time he met a trainer there had been no mention of names. He didn't want to contemplate what could happen if he gave her his name and it somehow led to the League or others finding out about him.
He tried to keep the grin on his face at the thought as he shook her hand. "Xander."

Carefully setting Lovey into her bag--and grinning as the eevee poked its head up out of the opening-- Dove stooped to scoop out a handful of the treats, sliding them carefully into one of the plastic bags provided. "You're right!" she laughed, tying the top of the over stuffed bag. "Now she'll just paw me to death until I hand them over."
Dove smiled back as he shook her hand, nodding at the name. "Xander... huh. I did a shoot--"
She paused, mentally taking a step back. It would do no good to flaunt her claim to fame here. Though she had met a few people on her 'vacation' that had recognized her as the model-actress she was, it was becoming more evident how much her lack of appearance in this region had cost her fame. While she was a well established model and professional actress, she hadn't done work in this new region. In fact, the past few days had been her first on this soil. And while she had been considered 'up-and-coming' in the world in contests, and had done well to secure a spot amongst the ranks of the coordinator world, she wasn't elite--not yet. She was determined, however, to one day reach the title.
But he didn't need to know that. At least, she wouldn't be the one to let him on.
"I worked with a guy named Xander once. Good guy."
"So...what are you looking for?" she asked, out of the blue in an attempt to change the subject before he even had the chance to catch on.

'Xander'? Really, he couldn't have come up with a better name to use instead? Granted, he had a right to the name; his middle name was Alexander after all. Still if this got back to Xander, he'd be dead! 'Xander' smiled slightly at the bag the trainer put her Eevee into and was amused when the Eevee poked her head out of it. He had to admit it was probably a decent way to carry a small pokemon that didn't want to stay in its pokeball.
He looked over the assortment of dried berries to see if there were any the pokemon he was in regular contact with would like. "At least her paws are covered with fur. Imagine three feet of fire and diamond hooves." Rory shuddered slightly at the memories of Pinkie's training when he first got her.
A shoot? Huh? What was she talking about? Rory observed her slightly out of the corner of his eye as she paused. Ahhhhh the trainer was hiding something. With as many times as he had to do it since coming to base out here, he was able to pick up on the signs.
"The pokemon biscuits they import from Kanto," Rory replied, gesturing to the two boxes in the basket. He wanted to stock up just in case he couldn't get the time to come back to town later. "They're my pokemon's favorite. They're made with aguav berry filling."

"You've got a ponyta, I take it?" she smiled, scruffing Lovey's head gently. She'd seen her fair share of firey feet, working with the breeders back home. "I'd much rather be pummeled by fluffy little paws."
Lovey yipped happily from her bag, cutting in at just the right moment.
"Kanto...I've been there." She nodded, knowing that admitting such a thing wasn't impressive at all. "I did a lot of traveling with my boyfriend there. We saw a lot of really interesting pokemon! And the towns were great as well."

"Yep," If it wasn't for her coloring, he would let her out for the trainer to see. With the bright pink coloring that led to her name, however, she was too noticeable. Even if she wasn't recognized as being owned by a Rocket; someone could recognize her from his contest days. So far the only person that seemed to recognize him from that time was on base with him.
Coming back out of his thoughts, Rory grinned at the Eevee in the bag, "Fluffy little paws are definitely preferable."
"Kanto's nice, though I think there's more interesting pokemon here than there," Then again he had been raised in that region, of course the pokemon wouldn't seem as interesting to him.

Dove shrugged, smiling bashfully. "Well, I only just got here, so I really can't compare the different types of pokemon. Each of the other regions have their own interesting pokemon, so I guess it's just preferance."
Lovey continued to wiggle in the leather bag, setting of the trainer's pokegear. When a young man's voice--the disgruntled young man's voice, more like-- sounded from the bottom of her bag, Dove gasped and released the eevee onto the ground to dig for the source.
Lovey took the opportunity to pounce at 'Xander's' feet, taking it upon herself to make her own new acquaintances.

Rory nodded. "Probably. I've never been to the rest of the regions so I'm not too familiar with their pokemon." Hopefully one day he would have the chance to rectify that, even if it was just doing a rec mission for the organization.
When he heard the voice come from her bag, he chuckled again. "Someone doesn't sound too happy," he commented as he watched her dig through to find the device the voice was coming from.
He smiled at the Eevee and, while her trainer was distracted, picked one of the pecha berries out of the bin. He held it out in his hand to see if she would take it from him.

Dove triumphantly tugged her pokegear from the bottom of her bag--as it always seemed to turn up underneath everything else-- and started to utter her apologies to the grumpy young man--her boyfriend, whom unfortunately, had rightfully earned himself the nickname of 'shadow lord' or 'the devil', due to his evil personality, especially when woken early from his slumber....
...especially so early in the morning, as it was back home where he was currently toying with night and day. She grimaced, realizing it wouldn't even be dawn back in her hometown. "Hey...sorry...."
Lovey, ears perking at the dark young man's voice, tipped her head toward the light haired young man, took half a step back in surprise, then darted toward the treat, snatching it in her teeth and settling back down between her trainers shoes. She yipped happily in thanks!

Rory tried not to eaves drop on her conversation with whoever the disgruntled man on the other end of the pokegear was but he couldn't resist. Besides a Rocket tried to gather as much intel as they could while they were away from base, right? Though she seemed not know much about the region yet, it still couldn't hurt to be cautious.
He laughed lightly and petted Lovey's head when she darted towards the treat he offered her. For the first time, the idea of trying to steal a trainer's pokemon started to sound appealing. If any other trainers had pokemon like this Eevee, it would be so easy. Offer the pokemon a special treat while the trainer isn't looking and grab the pokemon.
He watched Dove on her pokegear and stored the idea in the back of his mind. He wouldn't attempt it with this trainer but maybe someone else.
