Angela.Tremaine My heart is like the ocean, it gets in the way
So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name... After leaving the apartment, Angela decided to head to the shrine first. It was really amazing there was a place like this near Rosentale. But since it was a place where all the worlds met together, she supposed she shouldn't be surprised. And somehow, it didn't really seem out of place at all.
It was so peaceful. So much had been happening lately and she was just glad to have a place where she could clear her head. She didn't know if it was because of her heritage or what, but places like this always made her feel at ease. They were so close to nature, instead of being at odds with it.
There was just a quietness to them that she loved.
When she reached the small shrine, she had to admit she found it a bit quaint. But it was still nice. She approached the door, running her fingers over the little wooden fence as she studied the lanterns hanging from the roof.
"I really didn't think there were places like this around anymore," she murmured quietly.You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

Storm fallowed the path up the hill. He had just gotten back from seeing his family or what was left of them anyways. He shifted his travel bag on his shoulder as he neared the shrine. He heard that all the students would be near this place so this is where he had his mates drop him.
It wasnt that he was a religious person. In fact he hardly believed in anyone god other than the one who resides over the seas. After seeing his family though he was always a little too over sentimental. His niece was now turning 76 this year and was having a hard time with her health. He told himself that he would pray for her well being.
He round the corner towards the shrine, he hanging low. These types of trips always tired him. His head snapped up when he heard a familiar voice. He had been to shrines before in one form or another and this was no different. That is except for the beautiful lady standing outside. Long white hair and a thin frame he knew her instantly. He stepped closer to her and commented on her previous murmurings.
" I believe they are out there. You just have to look for them alittle harder." he couldnt help his smile beam across his face.

So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name...Angela was startled when she heard a voice nearby. A familiar voice, but one she hadn't heard in a long time. Her expression brightened when she looked up and saw Storm next to her.
"Storm! Where on earth have you been? I haven't seen you in ages!" In spite of herself, she reached out and hugged him tightly, the feel of his warm psyche washing over her. He was one of few people at the school she had felt instantly comfortable with. She was glad to see him again--for a while, she'd just thought he had disappeared like so many other students, and she wouldn't see him again.
Angela gave him a tight squeeze. "It's so good to see you again."You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

Storm dropped his bag to the ground and wrapped his arms around her small frame in a bear hug. He had missed her and everyone he had befriended at the school. it was hard to up and leave like he did but it was something that had to be done. He was so glad to see her again that he didnt really want to let go of her yet knew any longer of a hug would be boarder lining intimacy. He laughed out loud and flicked at her hair.
"you havent changed at all! Im sorry for leaving without goodbyes beautiful, there was a few things i had to do away from school. But it is SO damn wonderful to see your face again!"
She did seem different in a way though unsure what that way was. Perhaps it was the fact that he hadnt seen her in months or did she actually go through more than he realized?

"It seems a rather lot of people leave and never return so I'm glad to see you weren't one of those." She sighed softly and looked back at the shrine. "It's been a rather insane few months. Most of it, I don't think I'd care to repeat, to be honest. Some of it, you were likely lucky to have missed."
She looked over at him and gave him another smile. "But still, I'm glad you're back. And look, you came back right at the perfect time."
"You get to come out here with everyone so I'm sure it'll be the perfect way to get back into the swing of the craziness that is Rosentale."You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

"Yes i am really excited to be back." He looked over at her and smiled softly. He studied her face. Sunken eyes and an exhausted look as if she had been pulling heavy stones up a hill all day. He wondered what all had happened while he was away. If he would have been able to stop any of it. he placed a hand on the back of her shoulder in a concerned way but didnt press anything.
"So are you hear to pray?" His eyes finally left her to look upon the shrine with a new found energy and passion.

Lately I've just found myself...seeking out solitude, for lack of a better way to say it. Besides, I'm under doctor's orders to take it easy and it seemed like this would be a peaceful spot to just sit and contemplate and 'take it easy' and all that."
"What about you?" she asked, leaning against the fence. "Here to pray?"
He hadn't really struck her as a religious sort. Perhaps because he was a vampire. Then again, she once met a Jewish vampire so, really, who knew? Still, it made her feel a little bad that she was probably disturbing him if he'd come to meditate or pray or something. He shruged " yeah i need to pray for my niece. She is turning 75 this year and is having health problems. I worry about her and her kids. I told myself that i would pray to please the gods even tho i hardly think it will do any good at this point." he trailed off and slily looked up at her. "honestly i was really nervous coming to pray. Im actually really glad i got to see you. you'v given me an extra boost if you will."

Even though he was a vampire, his family was still Human. That must mean they aged normally. It must be strange to see them grow old before his eyes while he stayed the same. She reached over and took his hand, giving it a squeeze.
"No reason to be nervous. I don't think God judges anyone who sincerely goes to him for help. I'm sure he'll listen to whatever prayers you offer up. What's her name? Your niece." She released his hand and gave him a sheepish smile.
"I mean, I'm already here, I might as well say a prayer for her as well. Who knows? Maybe two voices will attract a little more attention than just one, yeah?"You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

He smiled up at her and nodded. "Her name is Grace." He shifted into the shrine and looked up at all the shininess inside. It was odd how one would pray silently or out loud to the gods and still have faith even though no reply is ever received in return. It was odd how tranquil and quite it was here. Like softness melted into every polished figure and every wooden banister.
He grabbed angelas hand and gave it a squeeze. He never liked praying. He always felt like he was being judged too closely by the gods. It was at moments like these were he really wished he wasnt a vampire and hadnt done all those horrible things.

So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name...Angela shifted her hand, lacing her fingers through his as she headed around the fence to the gate. "Let's go in here." There were two small stones inside with something inscribed on them. She assumed that's where people were supposed to pray. But then, who knew? She wasn't really used to shrines like this one.
She knelt in front of them and pulled Storm down with her. Clasping her hands in front of her and closed her eyes. Praying wasn't something she did often--at least not through this. She liked to think, sometimes, that she spoke to God through her paintings. It wasn't really the same thing.
She knew that. But still. She supposed it was nice to take time to speak one on one sometimes. She wondered if she should ask for help with her...eh. Probably not.
After a moment, she opened her eyes and glanced at Storm to see what he was up to.You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

Storm was kneeling next to angela but his mind was ten miles away. Sure he had been to other shrines. There was even one where they worshiped large boa constrictors. He had to kiss their heads and everything as a sign of gratitude. That didnt mean he knew which god to pray to here and now for this particular problem. As angela closed her eyes and started to pray his eyes began to wonder around him looking up at all the fancy statues and stones.
When angela looked over at him she could see him looking around mouth gaped, eyes darting here and there. His fingers laced laying in his lap.

So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name...Angela shook her head and smiled. Storm was so goofy. She didn't think he meant to be but he definitely was. Adorably goofy and melodramatic and flirty. Of course, there was that other side of him that seemed so heart breakingly sad--he always seemed to keep it hidden behind that happy, flirty facade but it was that sad side of him that made her want to just hug him until all those shadows melted away.
Though when it came down to it, she didn't think she had the ability to heal anyone's emotional wounds. She just wasn't that talented at comforting people.
So she just watched Storm stare around them like he'd never seen a place like this, before smiling slightly and raising up so she could lean over and put her lips right next to his ear, just barely grazing against his earlobe. Her hot breath ghosted over his ear as she whispered, "Storm, what are you doing?" in a teasing tone.You can say it one more time, what you don't like,

It wasnt like he was oblivious to her next to him. he could sense her let alone her blood even though it wasnt very appealing to his tastes. That didnt mean he didnt jump when he finally noticed her only an inch or two away from his ear. Her breath warm on his cold skin and a shiver slipped down his neck and spine. He froze, wanting to look at her but knowing if he attempted to turn his head they'd bonk into each other. His eyes looked around innocently.
Taking the chance he leaned back alittle and turned towards her, their faces close. He made it obvious to look her over.
"Just admiring the beauty surrounding me. Its not often that i get to be this close to it." Teasily he gave a boyish smirk.
