Watching threw his only functioning photoreceptor, HK-27 watched as his new master Rod’rlilk moving him into a new looking room… from the surroundings it was a lounging area. Hk-27 was also introduced to the other droid R5-D6, it looked like a newer model then he was. Shutting down all the rest of the un-needed programs of his body, HK-27 watched as he was left alone for a moment. His master returned with tools and a cord, the moment he was connected to the power core was when he started a warning. “Warning Master, my battery seems to have suffered more damage than it seems, it is recharging at only 7% capacity and will only hold 36% power. But I will start my full diagnostic now… “ Spoke HK-27 as he finally surpassed the three primary systems and started to go into the others, which erupted into a dozen or so sparks per second all over his body. HK-27 started to move slightly now, it was slow but then again, the loud creaking noise of some of his internal rust in his body and systems. After a few more hours of scrubbing and upgrading, HK-27 Reactivated himself and did a full scan of his systems again. HK-27 was disappointed but he knew that he had to do something, he had a skill set after all… going through his scans, He finally had an idea. “I understand Master, Maybe I can help you… While I ran the diagnostic, the rest of my remaining skills had been restored and available to be used. If you have chemicals or components, I can build mines and weapons for you on your behalf at the workbench.“ Spoke HK-27 as it turned it’s head around to examine the ship, looking for a workbench onboard.

Following his new master over to the workbench, HK-27 took a moment to examine the entirety of the workbench. He was familiarizing himself with all the places that the pieces were in and stuff, memorizing where everything in before he turned back to talk to his master. “Theory: I do believe I have enough components here to upgrade one weapon to improve anything you want… but I must warm you as well, it’s been a while and it might take me longer then I usually do.” “So please Master, make sure you have plenty of components in case… I need to go through the new data in this workbench and all the new inventions that have been made since I was last operational.“

Listening to his master about being careful, they were interrupted by the little trash compactor that was saying that 5 bounty hunters had arrived outside. The droid listed to it’s master swear in a familiar language, before making his thoughts be known. “Suggestion: Master, I strongly suggest that you use your ship and the ships weapons to blast those morons out of the hanger. It is also a likely possibility that they may have brought equipment to cut through the ship, or a tracker so that if you do escape they can track you again. But I will make you an energy shield for protection master, they may be physically gone, but I have the original blue prints in my old backup memory files. “With that being said, HK-27 started to go to work on making an ancient and long since decommissioned energy shield. It was a metallic glove that would be worn to the elbow, but he was going to be protected threw one fight before it burned out… there was enough to make only one however, but it was enough to protect his master.

After they had jumped into light speed, HK-27 was happy that his advise was followed. The fire of the ships weapons and the joyful screams of the dying lit him up more, it felt good to indirectly kill someone. But with that being said… HK-27 continued to working on the shielding device, but he was running a few programs at the same time that slowed him down. He was examining the old specs and building it, while he was also examining for ways as to upgrade it to modern day usage. He had a few ideas for upgrades and the first was just to complete the prototype, it was same as the first time specs when it was just a prototype itself. The original specs had been copied and saved, the other was being updated and modified with his basic and standard systems. The specs that were being upgraded only allowed for 2 upgrades, small but he was working his way around it. But it was going to be awhile before the glove was ready for testing, he needed a vic… ‘ Test subject ‘ to test it out and see if it could use any more work.

“Answer: The prototype is somewhat completed, I have a slightly corrupted blueprint but it should be safe for you master. I have yet to gain a perfect blue print, but I have done some calculations and worked them out properly… it only has one charge before it’s depleted. But if it’s successful and safe for you master, then I shall work on it’s upgrades at once… “ spoke HK-27 as he stepped out of the way to show his master the glove, just as his blueprints told him… but it was slightly altered so it was a bit bulky, but was still lightweight. “ Request: please try it out, I have also added a fail safe to the power.
