Personality: [Emma is by far not your typical 'run of the mill' vampire and is rather quite the opposite from the fabled bloodthirsty killers portrayed in horror films. She is quite an intelligent woman who enjoys during her work hours holding long intellectual and meaningful conversations with her clients. As a matter of fact she does not look down upon the humans as if they are nothing more than chattel, but rather she views them as equals for she too was once one of them. She is a caring individual and though she is bold and witty there is a certain softness and gracefulness in the way she goes about things from how she walks to how she talks. However despite what lets others see she is quite untrusting beneath the surface, among a few other flaws. She will hold grudges to those whom have done her wrong, and if the deed is bad enough she will more often than not take matters into her own hands...or fangs if need be.]
Bio: [Emma Jane Westbrook was the first born to her parents Countess Vanessa Westbrook and Earl James Westrbook; her younger brother Roderick who was born when she was 6 years of age. Growing up she and her brother were given only the best of things that money and time could afford, being the heirs to the Westbrook family fortune they also received the highest in education. They lived a life of dalliance, a life that many people would have killed to have. However despite their favored social status neither of them were raised to be arrogant fools and were taught well by their mother to be kind even to those living in poverty because they are humans as well with the same feelings and emotions as them.
At the young age of 9 she was introduced to the young man she would marry once she came of age, an agreement that her parents had made for her for the sake of the family's name, fortune, and future. Being as young as she was, and the tradition something normal in her era, it was not something to look upon with disgust but rather hope that love and happiness would follow as they grew to know each other. However Owen Johannesburg, her betrothed, was not the man she would have hoped for and it was not until two years following their marriage, that had taken place shortly after her 18th birthday, that he began to show signs of discontent towards her. There was a time where they loved each other dearly, but not everything lasts as one would hope.
Owen found whatever refuge he could drinking abstinent and smoking opium, the drug and drink polluting his very being, making him lash out in fits of rage over trivial matters. At first it started as yelling and shouting, but in the end it turned to abuse. Emma could not run from it either always carrying with her the hope that with enough love, care, and forgiveness towards his actions the man she married and still hoped to fall in love with would come back around. In May of 1888 she became pregnant, but the abuse from her husband had not subsided, as a matter of fact it was due to the abuse that caused her to conceive a child. Thankfully this became a blessing as Owen stopped his cruel ways for fear of harming the child. One evening on September 30th 1888 her husband had not returned home after leaving their mansion for a drink with some of his friends, worried for his sake she boldly left the house on her own to search for him knowing what bar he'd gone to even being 5 months pregnant at the time. Unfortunately along the way she took a wrong turn and found herself face to face with Jack The The Ripper, whom was in the middle of disemboweling his most recent victim Elizabeth Stride. She turned heal and ran in the opposite direction, murderer in pursuit, but she was no match for the man and quickly found herself cornered and facing off against a blade down a dark street in London. The man infuriated with her interference stabbed her multiple times, she blacked out after the first five jabs to the gut and ribs.
Needless to say she was shocked when she woke up in a plush bed with silken crimson sheets, tired, hungry, and weak, but still alive. Yet something was different and upon placing her hand over her stomach she did not find the familiar bulging stomach. Panicked her screams of terror and distress were answered by a well dressed man that strode into her room, before even introducing himself he was at her side holding her as she cried comforting her. Afterward she came to know this man as Eric Vilalobos, a Vampire who in a way saved her life. Unfortunately at the cost of becoming one herself she Countess Emma Jane Johannesburg-Westbrook had to be classified as deceased.
Over time she grew used to what she was but still refused to leave London until she'd personally hunted down Jack The Ripper for the loss of her unborn child. November 13th 1988 after his last killing of Mary Kelly she had managed, with the help of Eric, track Jack the Ripper down and exact her revenge. Two months later Eric and Emma left London where he took her to Italy to join his small coven of 'vampire outcast' those whom refused to let go of being human, those who did not hunt just anyone for the thrill of it, but rather those who deserved death by their actions. Shortly after welcoming her to the coven he took her as his mate. Finally after the years of abuse by her ex-betrothed Emma was happy.
A few centuries passed and over time the coven moved to America where they lived quite peacefully along side humans, and making themselves known to other creatures that they simply wanted to live beside them as well without conflict. Everything couldn't have been better, but 1 year and 7 months ago her coven was hunted down by people who saw them as bad creatures, they tried to make these hunters understand that they were not out to harm the innocent but rather protect them in a way. Their words feel on unwilling ears and a fight followed, a fight where these hunters killed everyone including Eric. How she managed to escape, well she won't tell anyone. Since then she's been trying to track these hunters, this lead her to New York City where she acquired a job as a Hostess at Cher Coeur, a sophisticated night club known for its rich clientele. Using her charm she is now one of the most popular and sought after Hostesses.]
