Malakai arrived at the academy and started scoping the area out for something that he could find Aiden to eat. Scanning the area for a while before he spotted a several birds standing atop a large bolder. Remembering some basic raiton techniques from his battles in the village he felt teaching him a simple straight forward technique would be the best. Not to mention its effectiveness of cooking small animals. Crouching low to the ground he waited for the Inazuka to catch up so that he could earn himself his meal.

Genin "Keep going no matter what it takes,"
Aiden walked in to the academy with Balto resting on his head. His stomach growled in hunger as he didn't have anything suitable to eat in his current home and didn't want to keep his new sensei waiting for long. His excitement was hidden from his face as all he could concentrate on was on his surroundings. His sense of smell and hearing were superb thanks to his Inuzuka blood so he could sense the birds above and the animals around him. Aiden mentally grinned as his thoughts turned to learning how to roast them with his chakra or to control his chakra nature to empower his techniques and increase his skill in taijutsu. Aidens thoughts switched at random and stopping at the idea of kenjutsu when he found Malakai in the clearing. He would walk up behind the jounin and say "i'm ready"

º• It didn't take Kasumi very long to catch up, and when she reached the Academy she found the jounin and the genin already within the vicinity. So, she walked up behind them and spoke to indicate her presence. "Sorry for intruding, but Lady Raikage told me I would be training with you both." She stated matter-of-factly, and glancing at the other genin, she smiled. She was curious as to what the jounin was doing, though. He was crouched on the ground, as if deep in thought, or waiting for something to happen. She tilted her head slightly, hand instinctively clutching the hilt of her blade. It was safe to say her curiosity was piqued, so she waited patiently for the events to unfold.
Seeing the students arrive he remained low to the ground careful to not scare the birds. "I hope you two don't mind a small test, how well you do depends on how well you eat. Now since you both use Raiton. I want you to answer me and then show me which technique would be best for not only defeating all of those birds cooking them well enough for eating." Looking at them to reassure that he was serious, he was sure that the Inazuka would go for this but not too sure on the girl with the sword. "If you prefer, I can create more menacing targets." Malakai turned towards the genin and began to give his lesson.
"Okay now listen up. I will teach you three raiton techniques. One is perfect for the situation, One is acceptable, and one is wrong. Try to gauge your situation and the technique needed. Keep in mind all of these techniques are useful. The first is the lightning bolt technique, Simply channel the raiton chakra from within your body to your palm and discharge towards your desired target, moderate strength." Making the gesture with his body, showing essentially what he described. Making a few hand seals he showed the process to making the hummingbirds. "The swarm of hummingbirds technique is a more tactical approach. More precise against multiple targets with moderate strength." Moving both of his hands together for the final demonstration he explained the last jutsu. "This one is the most powerful direct attack, also has a bit of a wideness to it. The lightning beam technique. Just be sure to channel the raiton chakra from both arms in a continues rate. You can shut off the jutsu at any time. You must choose which technique to use for the best result."

Rakurai no Jutsu [ Lightning Bolt Technique ] Rank: D Official Description: A simple technique in concept and execution, in which the user performs the necessary hand seals and then emits a short bolt of lightning from his or her hand. This is a simple bolt, akin to a fireball, as opposed to being a continuous stream. On impact, the target will suffer minor electric shocks and numbness in the area it strikes.
Hachidori no Mure no Jutsu [ Swarm of Hummingbirds Technique ] Rank: C Official Description: After activation, the technique causes various sparks of lightning to appear in the air. Within moments they transform into humming birds, giving off a loud humming sound. The humming birds will then rush the opponent, and can spread out to hit multiple targets. Creates between 5 and 10 birds.
Raikou Kousen no Jutsu [ Lightning Beam Technique ] Rank: C Official Description: The attack from Lightning Blast has been upgraded further, making it into a beam twice as wide as before( five meters in width ), and much more damaging. Targets hit head-on with this Jutsu will experience a fantastic amount of pain and be stunned after the Jutsu ends. Also, nearly missing with this Jutsu also has some effect. Because of the high amount of voltage, small lightning bolts can arc from the beam to someone standing within two feet of it, causing shocks a little bit more damaging than those of Lightning Bolt technique. This Jutsu can be ended prematurely by the user.

º• A test…? Interesting. She listened carefully to what he was proposing, “strange” being the politest way she could have phrased it. The more she listened the more it made sense, and she found herself smiling at the task at hand. I see… So, the aim of the game was to eradicate the birds using ration jutsu, and fry them well enough that they could be consumed. He mentioned something about creating more menacing targets, but she didn’t mind either way. She felt slightly pressurised by this proposal, given that there was a right and wrong answer, but at least if she made a mistake she could learn to rectify it.
She carefully assessed the three jutsu he had described, and attempted to gauge how valuable they would be in this situation. The first one would only rid one bird at a time, but at least it wouldn't over-fry them to the point they would be rendered completely indigestible. The second, although it hit a wider range of targets, seemed that if the name was anything to go by, the birds would fly off before the jutsu could even hit them. It was a necessary risk… Finally, the third, while powerful and spanning a moderate range, was too powerful for such a minor enemy, and she didn't want to cause any needless damage. She took a few moments to consider it. If all of them could be useful… Which was going to be the most effective in killing the birds all at once, without overdoing it to the point she’d be sick if she tried to eat them?
She crossed her arms. “Hmm…” She stood forward, and after much deliberation between the lightning bolt and swarm of hummingbird techniques, decided to go with the latter. She wanted something moderate in strength, and the lightning beam jutsu was overkill in her eyes. So, she made the necessary handseals to successfully activate the technique, and unleashed it towards a couple of the birds. After she had done so, she turned on her heel to Malakai in order to justify her choice, regardless if it was right or wrong. "I chose the swarm of hummingbirds technique because I thought it was a happy medium. I didn't want to exert too much lightning and risk over-doing it," she explained calmly, entirely aware that she had a 1/3 chance of messing it up, but even then she wasn't really bothered by it. As long as she could take something from it, it wasn't much of an issue.

As the choices were given Aiden scratched his head to think of a way to cook the birds in a way that would make them edible and strike them all at once. As Malakai named the abilities Aiden kneeled and looked towards the birds as they were to him, prey to be eaten. His thoughts ran to the surrounding area being too quiet for the hummingbirds, the noise would scare them off before the attack could hit. He considered the lightning bolt but the other birds would notice ones execution and see to escape before anything else. The lightning beam would attack the others as well but Aiden would have to use his canine sense to tell when to shut off the jutsu. As he stood he flashed a smile at the girl that had arrived and said to the Jounin "I choose the lightning beam technique"

Malakai heard both of their choices as he scanned the area for more birds. Luckly birds were pretty frequent around the mountainous region. The three still remained calm on the rock he had spotted earlier while he saw a small group for 4 on the ground. Smiling some he wanted to see how well they would do. "Alright, I'll let you both decide which batch you want and use your chosen jutsu. I'll see how you do, and maybe Aiden will have a decent meal."

Kichona's head would appear from oddly enough, above a window. She just crawled on through and was snooping around like a curious cat. She walked a few paces slow then a few fast then a few slow once more. She was just watching the various people and currently had nothing in particular to do. Things just were slow in her mind right now and she was very bored.

Genin "Keep going no matter what it takes,"
At the mention of a decent meal Aidens concentration levels shot up. His want to eat the birds made him think the jutsu over and caused a grin to appear to his lips as he stood and made preformed the handsigns to the jutsu. His hand rose towards one flock of the birds and began to slowly illuminate with arcs of electricity running up his arm. He made a gun with his hand and focused his charka into one point along his finger and watched in glow. He smiled at the thought that he was actually learning the jutsu and felt like dancing around in excitement but he stilled the thoughts and closed his eyes to let his canine senses tell him where to shoot. His hand aimed towards where the flock was more concentrated "Raiton: Raikou Kousen no Jutsu" he said under his breath as he fired off the jutsu into the birds as the beam would quickly go through the center of the birds and spark to the next. Four seconds after he cast the jutsu he stopped and smiled as he smelt cooked bird.

Koneko made her way into the academy, noticing her husband hard at work training the Genin she had assigned him to teach. Realizing she had gotten their before her students she giggled. Standing there she watched the Genin, smiling to herself knowing that she was at least trying to do something right for a change. Sitting herself on a bench that was inside the academy she sat back resting waiting for her genin to catch up. She smelled that cat girl nearby but really didn't pay much mind to the girl she was probably just watching or even training herself.
As she sat there she let her mind wander back to when she was young and was in here with Hitomi's father learning her jutsu's under his supervision and learning the whole thing about patience. She remembered that when she was younger she always wanted things done right then and there, no waiting. That she had to learn the hard way about waiting. Look where that training got her, she was now the Kage of the village and everyone looked up to her.

Walking slowly into the academy, Kiyoshi looked around and saw the people already there training. ‘Great, more people..’ he thought to himself as he waited for Hitomi and the others to get there, figuring they probably weren’t far behind him. Spotting the Raikage, who had apparently gotten ahead of them he walked slowly over to her as he dug through his bag for his bakuton scroll. Reaching the Raikage, Kiyoshi stood there, “I-I guess the o-others fe-fell behind….sh-should I just s-s-start training? I j-just h-ha-have my bl-blood-l-line jutsu to l-learn. A-a-and t-tai-taijutsu.”He stood fidgeting and twitching like he usually did, looking over his shoulder at the other students and waiting for Hitomi, his friend and teammate.

Nori nudged Jun with his elbow and pointed a hooded figure with ears poking from the hood. Curiously, the twins went to investigate the taller figure. They crowded around her like they had with Kiyoshi. Together, they wrapped their arms around her waist, as if escorting her as they pressed tightly into her side. Together, both of the twins reached up and began scratching and feeling at the ears, testing to see if they were real. "I think they're real Nori!""They feel real, Jun, but let's find out if they are." The twins spoke among them selves, Nori gently pulling on her right ear while Jun pulled the left one down just as gently.

Just because I'm blind, doesn't mean I'm useless. Let it be known that I will rise through the ranks, and prove I'm a Shinobi.
Hitomi walked into the academy slowly, after everyone else had passed her, she was a little too proud to ask for help, despite the fact that she was blind. She tapped her cane along the ground and clicked her tongue in a repetitive pattern so that she could get where she needed to be. Hitomi could hear the sound of people training, of jutsu being formed and executed, and the sound of the twins bothering someone, and Kiyoshi stuttering a question out to their Kage. She walked up to where she could hear Kiyoshi and the Kage and paused, "What would you like me to do, Lady Raikage?"
I choose the hard road, not the easy one, because nothing worth doing is easy. I will prove that I'm not someone to be pushed aside. I will not be forgotten.

"Kichona honestly looked very confused and was trying to slowly walk away the entire time. She wasn't used to quite that much attention. she enjoyed the scratching and scratching and thankfully they didn't actually yank on her ears. They would have got a swat for that. The girl settled for a whimper and her ears flicking when they pulled them down, slicking back to her head afterwards.
