He woke slowly, which said something in itself. The idea of Roch not being able to sneak into somewhere--and not waking up instantly--that all showed signs of severe overworking. In fact only one silver eye opened, looking at her. But a little grin pulled at his lips. "Hey, Danny," he said sleepily. "I'm jackin' exhausted..."

He sat up, yawning loudly as his mind sorted out what she'd just said. "Oh. Oh, right, um--I need to explain that, don't I?" he said. "Look, I don't know much about demons, but I know a lot about monsters, Danny," he started out. "Especially werewolves. One of the guys back home helped... raise me, I guess, he was a werewolf. They have--" He frowned, trying to think of how to explain it.

"Look, do you remember that minipet class forever ago? Where we had the bushes, and we had to bring up our FEAR to make them obey us?" he asked. "I had a hell of a time with that for some reason. But it's a little like that with werewolf pups. You gotta show that you're in control."

He stared at her. "What you did wrong," he said slowly, "was try to make me look like a loser and a pushover in front of two werewolf pups who just happen to be like family to me," he said flatly.

"I'm not angry, but Danny, y'just CAN'T do that. If I tell them--and you, even, since it's my room--to clean up a mess that you guys created, I NEED you to do it," he said. "I need to be in control in a situation like that, and I need you to help me in a situation like that, not work against me. You're my best friend. I gotta rely on you for stuff like that."

He broke into a grin--cuz from Danny that was absolutely better than he'd expected. "Thanks," Roch said. "Especially the listenin' part, cuz uh... I got uh... somethin sorta important to tell you," he admitted, looking like a little boil with a huge secret. "Y'know how y'said I should make Amphi my ghoulfriend?" he asked. "I sorta... um... did."

"Well... uh..." how did he explain that one? "She came over to ask me about somethin' a bit personal, and I told her again that I refused to do anythin' that would piss me off if I was the other guy, y'know? Cuz she had a sorta crush on Thana too, and honestly, I think she's even more confused on this whole likin' someone thing than I am. But... she... well, she picked me," he said, flushing slightly.

"But we wanted to keep it all a secret until we told you an' Thana, well, mostly you in my case. It ain't right to tell someone other than you first, right? So no goin' out blabbin' things, cuz I ain't sure if she's told him yet." Although he wasn't sure WHY she had to tell him in the first place, but... eh, they had been close enough to go to prom together.

"Giddoffff," he said finally, since best friend hugs should only last SO long, okay? He shoved her off of him and onto the bed, grinning--until she asked that question.

"I ain't done nothin! We've been too busy tryin' not to get caught to do much more than watch a movie and go to the hot springs and stuff--plus I've been workin' on the stage for the battle of the bands tryout," he told her. He was bright red, cuz it was... mostly the truth. He'd stolen a few kisses, but that wasn't anything bad.

"And seriously, Amphi doing something bad to me?" he asked her dryly. "Also, NO tellin', at least not yet. You can tell when I tell you you can, alright?"

"Nox gave me a gnome army," Roch said, yawning. "But I'm still workin' my a** off tryin' to get the more artistic parts done. They got no spray paint skills whatsoever," he complained, laying back on the bed. "And you interrupted my nap, y'know? I haven't slept in days, practically. When I wasn't sneakin' around I was workin' on that or even takin' classes."
