Tien had stormed out of Tajnevaki's quarters still furious with Jesran. How dare he accuse her like that! She could not believe that he thought she would willingly leave Enjiron and Tristan to danger or death. She snarled and it took conscious effort not to grind her teeth- an old habit of Morgan's from when she was particularly irate; more or less the nerdling had done it to keep from screaming. She had not forgotten Xun's silent offer of a place to hide for a while if she needed it...and right now she needed it.
It did not take long to find her way to his door and she knocked, silently hoping he was at home and unoccupied.

Thankfully for Tien's sanity, Xun Jiang was home. Not quite unoccupied, but home.
It would be Lindita who would answer the door this time around, and lead the obviously frazzled goddess through the seemingly never-ending span of greenery, through the paths, the flowers, and the pillars of Everwood. It would take them a few minutes for them to finally reach the god's current location, nested deep near the lake and waterfall.
Usually his aoidei were asked to turn down visitors when he was doing this, but this time around his directive were different - four people would be allowed to come this far, if they showed up.
When aoide and goddess finally reached him, Xun Jiang was seen sitting against a large tree, tail curned up around himself in a complete circle, tucked gently behind his back, spines pressed against the ground. Resting in his lap and folded legs was a large marble bow, filled with water that seemed just the slightest bit differently from the waterfall to his right.
And inside that bowl, was resting a round, rust-colored gem that Trickery would recognize.
He looked up as he heard Lindita's hooves trail off, frown creasing his features when he saw the blood stains on her clothing. "It went that badly, uh."

"The father." Xun had seen how the man was, those two words probably would be enough to explain a good deal. "I did not kill him, but had he been anyone else I might have been tempted to."
Tien sat down crosslegged in the grass. The walk after Lindita had greeted her at the door seemed to have ebbed her temper somewhat, but she was still irritated. She sighed, resting her face in her hands for a moment before sliding them up and brushing her bangs away from her face. "Idiot of a man tried to accuse me of just letting Nikki die and that I would do the same to Enjiron. Can you even believe that?" She leaned over, elbows resting on her knees. "Of course Enjiron jumped to my defense...he always does." Without hesitation, even.
"I ended up nudging Enjiron out of the way and putting his father in his place. They will probably have him at the healer's by now." A healer that Xun knew in fact, but Trickery was not aware of that. "I just hope the man will learn to think before he speaks...and to trust in his sons more."

"Definitively sounds like he needed a wake up call." Good that he was not dead, through. And yes... Yes, he could see how that would be pretty insulting. It was obvious that Tien cared about Enjiron in ways that few might be able to understand.
The pretty little girl on her fingers was a good proof of that, but he saw no need to bring it up.
"Mortals can be terribly stubborn. And bullheaded." Xun Jiang sighed, one hand going to the water to move Forge's gem around a bit. He had no idea if this actually aided the goddess regain some sort of strength... But there was nothing else he could think about. There was only a very faint difference he could sense... But she was recovering, slowly.
"I fear I will have to do something similar with my son." It slipped without much thought on the dragon's part. Elik was still actively avoiding him, but somehow he still found himself wondering if he actually should force the druid's hand. He was not sure if it was really his right to do so, to be honest.

"Everyone in that family is, to a ridiculous extent sometimes." In certain situations it was useful and in other situations not so much.
Tien watched as Xun pushed Forge's gem around in the water...which seemed to be water from one of his wellsprings in case she missed her guess. At least the goddess was not alone anymore, being at home among the rest might help her. And perhaps she would find someone else who suited her once she was strong enough.
"Your son?" She glanced up from the rust colored gem to Xun again. He had never mentioned a son before.

Ah. Of course Tien would have no idea what he would be talking about. "Well. My host's son."
He figured the 'it is complicated' came with that explanation.
"He believes his mother to be dead while it is... not quite the case. Only he is so stubborn and certain that he is right that I cannot seem to even explain anything to him. If he actually heard me out and then decided he wanted nothing to do with me, that would be one thing." The frown revealed that it would not be an outcome he would like, but one he was indeed prepared to face. "But he will not even listen to me. It is getting rather frustrating."

There were very few fellow gods and goddesses that she had met that did not have 'it is complicated' label stuck to them for one reason or another.
"Ah." That made a bit more sense. If it had been a little wyrmling running about surely she would have noticed, and possibly been introduced, by now. "It does sound like he needs a wake up call of his own. If only so he will sit and listen." Hopefully Xun would get the outcome he was hoping for with that one.
"Boys will be boys though. No offense to you, of course." She grinned at that and shifted forms, so there was a lazily sunrise colored little wyrmling lying in the grass.

"He does. Sadly he has inherited his father's stubbornness." Ti Lung huffed a bit. "And, I'd admit, mine." Through he had mellowed up some from being sorely Illisia... unless it truly mattered. At least that was what he liked to think.
The boys will be boys comment made him chuckle. "Bunch of stubborn idiots boys are... And yet we would be hard-pressed to live without them, no ?" After all, he was not quite a man yet. Physically, anyway.
Once she had shifted, one hand went to run across her side, soothing her mane and running across her scales.

"Very much so." Her life would be rather dull without Enjiron and his brothers after all.
When Xun pet her she made a pleased noise that might have sounded a bit like a purr. Her ears lay back and tail swished back and forth in the grass lazily. "I'm sort of excited...and yet very scared about going to Aejiss." It was not the most comfortable admission for her to make. Normally walking into the unknown would not be a problem, but with Lorinia having lived so long there was no telling what she was capable of now. And on top of that it was not just her life on the line.

"That is perfectly understandable... I felt somewhat similarly about going to Daelyth. It was exciting, but... I had not left this place before. Not since being reborn, at least."
His expression did change into a smile, as he continued to run his hand through her mane and side. It seemed to help Tien calm down, which would be a good thing... Through Xun JIang hoped no one would try to test her authority again. "But I knew I needed to do it. And for you... This is even more important, and it will not be easy, I know. But... it must be done."

"I had not either. I offered to help Glyph because I wanted to help and because I just wanted to be somewhere else." She had spent too long feeling useless and bored. Daelyth had also provided a convenient time to escape from her problems, none of which amusingly enough were really problems anymore.
"I will have to undo whatever damage she has done as well, if I can." Her head lay down on her forepaws. "I just wish I was not so...limited." He would probably understand what she meant. She had been like this for years now and it had not been a problem until recently- she needed to be stronger to protect the Mir'eshu. It felt like the power was there, but she could not grasp it and it was mildly frustrating.

Oh, did he knew what she meant. A little too well, actually.
"I understand." The bowl was carefully put aside, and Forge plucked out from it. The gem was carefully dried on the side of his hakama before being returned to one of the pockets. The Dragon King folded his legs and rested his legs on his knees, in a similar gesture than the one the little wyrm at his side had done.
"I wish I..." He stopped then, and shook his head. "This is not easy... I know it is not." Ti Lung sighed, then.
"But we have to make the best of what we have."

Tien shifted a bit so she was curled around around Lifewater and leaned against him. "Indeed, at least we are not all in this alone." Perhaps Harmodius had returned each of them at certain times so they would find those they would bond best, or worst, with and grow strong together be it in friendship or rivalry. It really was a shame that so many seemed to have gone into seclusion. So many she had caught a glimpse of, as Morgan or herself, only to never lay eyes on them again.
The silence between them would last a bit before she could take it no longer. "I seem to remember an offer to teach me how to swim like this. Is that still open?" If it was it was something that could distract them both. Xun's sigh was rather telling that things weight heavily on him as well.

Tien's theory might have some merit - not even Xun Jiang knew for which reason his Master gathered and handed out the gems as he did. Was there some sort of logical reason behind it, or perhaps Harmodius simply created them as he was able to gather what was left of them.
It was hard to think that all of the Dragon Kings had not all been created at once... or at the very least close together.
But, it had not been this way.
"I could do that." He was glad when the silence was broken, and he let her un-tangle herself from around him before standing, and starting to take his clothing off.
At least this outfit would not end up ruined.

Tien disentangled herself and sat back on her haunches as he stripped, the tip of her tail flicked politely over her eyes to give him some privacy. "No ripping clothes today?" There was an amused rumble that might have been a full out laugh if she were in her true shape. She was truly glad that she did not have to strip anymore, it was much more convenient to be able to change shapes when she pleased.
