Valhalla didn't even realize how he'd gotten there as he glanced up and saw how he was in a large garden. He'd been wandering the park, looking for any signs of trouble as well as being lost in thought. Thoughts about his personal life, his life as a knight (squire, sorry...), his future in either baseball or architecture... or something completely different...
So, it had surprised him to realize that he was actually standing amid a rather large garden of rose bushes, an elegant fountain in the center of the bushes. He was sure that over the hedges were more plants and flowers, but he seemed content with roses as he moved to sit down on the base of the fountain.
The cool marble was nice in the summer night's heat, so laying down seemed to be like a good idea. A hand lowered into the fountain pool as he stared up at the dark sky. There weren't many stars... He could never see the stars while in the city, not like being out in the wilderness, but it was still pleasant and distracting. The air was thick with the scent of roses...
And he almost didn't catch the sudden energy signature that seemed to apear out of nowhere. A chaotic energy, and Valhalla nearly rolled off and into the fountain in his haste to stand back up.
"Who's there??" he called, his hand reaching for his compass, just in case.

While some loves to patrol in the hard underbelly of the city or the dark shadows of the local park, Endymion, or Captain Phenakite to a rare few, did not like to deal with such places. He was a prince, and as such, wasn't about to stain himself with such areas. While he had been visiting the higher class areas of the city dotted with youma and senshi alike, this was his haven.
"A garden is a place of beauty and happiness. It's here both people and plants come together."
A flapping cape fluttered above, and a dark figure stood atop the statue.
"I am the prince of the Garden of Earth." To which he turned so that the light of the moon could highlight his features and the single red rose he held in his gloved hands.

Valhalla sputtered in surprise when he realized the man has been standing practically over top of him. How the heck had he missed that?? And an energy level that seemed on par with his own.
"Prince of... Earth?" he repeated, staring up at the man skeptically, his hand still on his compass, but lowered in a more relaxed position. This guy didn't seem to want to fight... just to scare the crap out of him. "What... are you doing here...? Other than... uh..." Valhalla really wanted to comment on his strange movie quotes or... something, but decided against it at the last minute. "Nevermind..." he mumbled, taking a few steps back to get a better look.
"Valhalla of Jupiter," he introduced, still sounding rather wary. This guy was a man corrupted by chaos... So what was he planning on doing in the garden? Wait for people to come by and... sap their energy or something...?

When the knight moved back, Endymion jumped down to stand on the brim of the fountain, and remained there for the time being. A fountain was a great backdrop, and it gave the other the chance to really take him in. "Prince Endymion." He stated. "Not the prince of Jupiter, but I hope even a knight would recognize a member of the Royal Court." He pointed out, reaching back to adjust his cape and keep it from getting wet by the spitting water. Maybe the fountain backdrop wasn't such a good idea.
"I didn't expect knights from other Orders around. I'd been expecting more from my court. It's a pleasure to meet you nonetheless." To which he reach back to open his cape and give a curt, and only the smallest of bows to acknowledge the knight in a more regal manner.

Valhalla stared at the other man still, a look of confusion and disbelief on his face.
"Uh... I'm sorry... I've never heard of you," he apologized, hoping not to insult the man. Apparently he was some royal guy, but he didn't know very many royalty, much less did he seek them out. They weren't really on his list of priorities. "You're... a Prince of Earth?" he asked to clarify, figuring putting his two introductions together wouldn't hurt in his assumption.
"Wait... what court are you talking about??" he sputtered, his head practically spinning in confusion. Was he supposed to know this guy?? He'd met knights of Earth before, sure. But he didn't know they had a prince. "You... no offense... you don't feel like a Prince... from my side..." The chaotic energy was kind of distracting. And people like Polaris and Chronos had... an aura about them that this Endymion guy just... didn't have.

The knights knew nothing. He was starting to see that more and more, and while he became more irritated that they didn't even know his name, one which have been sparked a mix of emotions in the past, it only brought a confused look to most. To think the word "Endymion" instilled no spark of recollection or any sort of deep feelings was disturbing. That didn't mean he couldn't use this ignorance.
Crossing his arms, he regarded the teenager with the look a teacher gave for someone who didn't study for the pop quiz. "Yes. Prince Endymion, whose knights served me and sworn to serve and protected this planet."
As for the feeling, that was something he couldn't hide or change. "What do I feel like to you seeing as you only just now figures out knights have royal courts? I guess you don't pay attention in history class." Or any class for that matter with such a blank expression. Probably went to public school. The Education system at it's finest.

Valhalla stared at the man as he spoke, his confusion morphing into annoyance. What made this guy think he was so high and mighty?
But it wasn’t the fact that he called himself a prince that made the knight stiffen defensively. He? Not pay attention in history class? Chris Gallo with his four point average and honors status? The overachiever who struggled primarily with languages and literature?
“I guess you’re just not that important,” he said cooly, his eyes narrowed suspiciously. “And whether or not these ‘royal courts’ exist, you won’t find me following any prince or princess or whatever who looks down on others.”
At this point, he didn’t care what else this guy had to say. He’d heard enough. There were more important things to do with his time than stand around.
“Best of luck to you, Your Highness,” he said with a slight mocking tone in his voice, unappreciative of the man’s condescending attitude. He turned to leave then, although his attention remained on the man’s energy signature, not wanting to give him a chance to do anything.
